personality | chaeri is one of those people who has these really cool parents who understand at least the importance of staying up to the point of only getting 3 hours of sleep a day. her parents were a perfect couple; one was sassy and the other sarcastic [literallyseokjinandyoongi] and well, chaeri picked up those techniques. she found it to be an advantage at school where students often respected those who were good or smart with their words.

chaeri is an incredibly sarcastic person and you can tell by the way she rolls her eyes at almost everything. she is very observant, often studying an ever-growing list of people who have yet to have a taste of her sarcasm. the unfortunate people who end up on that list are mostly those who have tried to mess with her. she finds comfort in being sarcastic, as she feels reassured of her position high up in the school hierarchy and also to keep her image as the person you don't want to end up dissing accidentally. as a small child, she often stayed home while her parents went grocery shopping or vacations [she absolutely hates going outside] which resulted in her exploring tiny spaces and testing how good her hearing was. this lead up to being able to fit in small cramped spaces and eavesdrop on people easily. unfortunately, people do have a problem with her height as she is indeed shorter than average especially for an 18-year old which lead to people finding her height an extra comeback but really, it's not like she doesn't have others up her sleeve.
chaeri actually does have human feelings, unlike what she seems from the outside. she doesn't open up to people easily as she finds it hard to keep a friendship [probably because of her sarcastic nature] so she does not bother at all with friends. she doesn't need friends to keep her entertained at lunchtimes; the people who hate her have her entertainment sorted. day after day is spent in the center of attention surrounded by a crowd of students wanting a show outside in a courtyard or inside in the lunchroom. she is thankful for her parents who have the same nature as her even after countless times of being accused for severe verbal bullying and being sent to the principals' office for that. her parents don't understand what is wrong with 'expressing opinion through sarcasm' and often sass the hell out of the principals which makes them give up calling her parents every time chaeri roasts a dumb bitch wanting attention and makes them cry.
sarcasm is her default mode 25/8, she can even pick on a person to roast even for the littlest and most stupidest things. add that with her uncanny habit of being able to start a verbal fight with anyone and even strangers on the street, you have disaster. more often than not, she will make up crazy assumptions based on their appearance to give her more of a reason to continue her battle such as plastic surgery accusations or how their parents raised them. she literally can't keep sarcastic thoughts in her head so if she's looking at the person in front of her in class, there's a high chance she might say something like "ew who the hell still likes pink?" and start a battle. at that point, even the teachers know better than to stop them [based off experience] and just watch along with the rest of the class.

his personality | seungkwan is a pretty soft-hearted boy despite his role in the school but once challenged, he changes into a completely different person. he might accidentally cuss once in a while and it's usually his older friends who point it out and tease him about it. he is a reserved person most of the time and probably the only time you will see or hear his name around somewhere would be whenever he spends time alone in a music room singing. despite his shy personality, he can be a pretty funny person to be around once you crack his shell and get to know him better [though don't expect it to be easy]. seungkwan is also very loyal to his friends, whoever they may be and no matter how long he has known them.
how you met | when chaeri finished roasting someone who tried to insult her height and she was walking away [like the queen she is lmao] and seungkwan notices her super short shorts. being her sarcastic self, she told him that she totally liked short shorts because she hates violating school rules.
how you two act around each other | sarcasm 25/8. seungkwan finds telling her to wear school-appropriate clothing a real challenge, thus, he starts becoming sarcastic like her to the point where they both are constantly engaged in a verbal fight and the students around them are just stepping away because they know she finally has someone else to roast who wouldn't cry even after she delivers some of her best lines. eventually, it's a mutual hate relationship until the students start shipping them together due to their strikingly similar personalities and call them the 'devil-ship'. the ship just makes them question their feelings for each other until seungkwan just gives up one day, saying "fxck it" and bluntly confessing.
