  1. [09:26] Yvel lead Paca towards the training field and as his armored boots slid onto the sand he thought about what they had been trying to do, Yvel had first used the spell as a wave of pure holy energy but it had to be more than that now.
  2.
  3. "We'll lets start with the basics then, Structure of the spell, Do what ever you think is most comfortable though I'm going to test out a few different ideas.." Yvel would claim now of course they had to being the long and grueling process of finding a way to effectively fire holy magic towards a target.
  4.
  5. Doing so in small spheres seemed easy enough but a combined blast? It was going to take a while that was for sure. Yvel started his own practice first creating three orbs of holy magic and invigorating them with as much power as he could sustain.
  6.
  7. The three soon began circulating that power, Forming a triangle that soon began to slowly rotate clockwise. Yvel placed his staff in the dead center of the triangle. His goal was to use the energy being gathered and shared by the orbs and then focus it into one single attack.
  8.
  9. "Not sure if this will work but its the first test of many." Yvel would claim the rotating triangle began to spin faster and faster as more Mana was placed within it. The Light soon eclipsed and the Energy Manifested within the staff and Yvel used what bearings he could to fire it forwards directly towards one of the training dummies.
  10.
  11. Although surely enough a small beam of light exploded forwards with enough force to knock the dummy down. Yvel continued to analyze what he was doing thinking of new ways he could improve upon the method he was applying to the spell.

  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14. [09:48] Each step that Kuma took when following the Knight would cause his mind to sink deeper and deeper into a web of thoughts, causing it to stretch. But the web wouldn't break, it was like he was being help back. He might have been pushing against a heavily interwoven puzzle with many parts to it, but he still seemed to lack the key to break the dam of knowledge.
  15.
  16. Once more the word Yvel used would go through his mind. A faint playback of the Knight saying 'Judgement' would repeat as it came and went out of focus. Almost like it was a wildly swinging pendulum, not just going back and forth but in all manner of crazy directions. With a deep breath coming from Kuma's lips, he'd try to analyse the word, and try to see it's connection to holy magic.
  17.
  18. As Kuma began his analysis, his hands would instinctively come together to his chest. At a distant glance it might seem the man was making a heart shape, a symbol of love. But upon closer inspectionit was clear it was a triangle, one that seemed solid and firm.
  19.
  20. Kuma wouldn't realise this at all, and his subconscious mind wouldn't be able to tell why he was making the gesture. It wasn't sure if it was something he had seen Osric do. However when Kuma was thinking over the word Judgement, and trying to work it into some form of holy attack, Kuma could feel some sort of natural feeling from his pose. It would seem much more comfortable than just standing around in a neutral position.
  21.
  22. While this was happening, Kuma's analysis would be in full swing. It would start with looking into how he developed the magic. Through the desire to protect the city, the ones he loved and cared about, and even those too weak to protect themselves. So then what was the driving power behind his offensive abilities? As Kuma asked himself this question, the playback of Yvel saying Judgement would grow in focus.
  23.
  24. The connection with the word would start to feel overwhelming. Kuma had resolved himself that he wouldn't hesitate, that the time for second guessing himself was over when it came to his magic. If someone or something was coming to hurt what he wanted to protect, he would have to be firm, just like a judge, sentencing those wishing harm as evil dooers within a moments notice.
  25.
  26. If occultists were attacking people like the people of Moonfall had been doing, he would have to pass Judgement on them with his abilities. If a terrorist came to destroy town like the Syndicate had been, he would need to do the same. If someone came to harm the woman he cared about, like they did to Evelyn and Aranea, he wouldn't have time to determine if the person was guilty or not. He would need to judge them right then and there ant not hesitate.
  27.
  28. As soon as these thoughts came together, a bright flash escaped from where Kuma was before disappearing like it faded into the evening sky. It's shape would be reminiscent of what Kuma had described to Yvel just before. A long column starting from where Kuma was, descending out from his body into the distance.
  29.
  30. The lightshow was as if a huge, powerful electronic flashlight had turned on then off. It was so instantaneous to appear, and so quick to dissolve into the air, it was clear there was no power behind his beam. It was a light show, but one caused by his determination to better protect those he cared about by judging those that wished them harm.
  31.
  32. "Did... Did you see that?" He'd say to Yvel as he took a break from his thoughts. "That was the shape I remember from the fight... I think we're getting close to it." He'd say over towards the Knight with a smile.
  33. (Paca Kuma)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [10:07] Yvel continued to experience the feelings he felt while he was fighting the demons it was more so a matter of affinity and need that he had to not only protect the life's of his Companions and other but himself as well, Judgement had to be more than just an archaic method of deciding who lived and who died.
  37.
  38. Yvel had to make it go further than that. He'd begin to analyze once more how holy magic worked. Within his head. "Holy Magic is capable of telling what's true and what's false...What's light and what's dark and what's alive and dead." He continued on.
  39.
  40. "We use our holy magic to decide for ourselves what is worth being a target that should be destroyed and what should remain, And doing so we manifest this ability within ourselves already, We just have to find a way to harness it even more..." Yvel would claim looking at the pillar of light that Paca summoned...It gave Yvel an idea something he'd been wanting to try for some time now.
  41.
  42. "I suppose its how we shape and manifest this magic that will give us an idea of how to use it..Then I suppose its time I reveal my specialty magic!" Yvel would claim his hands swaying back and forth within the air until it became tangible, A mist of golden aura strengthened together to forum a cloud of pure holy magic, Golden radiance filled the cloud and it was clear this ability was a unique one developed by Yvel.
  43.
  44. "This is my cloud magic, It took me quite a while to create and perfect but I've achieved it a few years ago. Now that I have I'm able to transform any of my magic into clouds." He'd point towards the buoyant Gold clouds that drifted around him.
  45.
  46. "This is the structure...and now the shape of it. Something that I can visualize easily...Something that can quickly call into my mind..." Yvel continued to browse his mind exploring the various things he knew about Holy magic, Something that was used to be the shield of all people, The light that protected, But this spell could not be a shield, It was a weapon that used the affinity of one who could pass judgment of the lifestreams will and pierce through the darkness of an Occultists heart.
  47.
  48. The golden clouds continued to swirl around Yvel as he aimed to give them shape, They gathered above him swirling around his head as they drifted further into the atmosphere, And through it the sights of a miniature Spear or arrow seemed to form up above. Yvel concentrating all of his attention upon the creation.
  49.
  50. "A shield to protect the people. And a Spear to pierce through the darkness...Is this the true form of holy magic..." Yvel claimed, Perhaps this was his perspective but he'd continued to create the spear of golden clouds up above, His perspective and knowledge in the arts throughout the years was showing,
  51.
  52. And the Long time Exorcists had finally seen what Holy Magic was through his own eyes. What he needed to become by embodying its affinities.
  53.
  54. "I think I've almost got it Paca, Structure, and the mentality that goes along with it, If we continue to improve upon these things we can create something that invokes our own personal concepts of holy magic." He'd say to his training partner, While he'd been an exorcists for some time now it was no surprise Yvel had gotten as far as he had with his experience, and expertise.
  55. (Yvel Endore)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57. [10:34] As Kuma took a break from his training, he'd listen into Yvel's words. His experience with the field of magic was clear with how well thought of his description of the magic was. Kuma could tell the knight had spent a lot of time thinking over what Holy magic was and wasn't.
  58.
  59. The feelings of how those that fought against Holy magic, that went the path of Occultism were on the very polar opposite of what was right and just would resonate with him. He had always spoken that once someone was an occultist, they were forever one. There was no saving them from their madness.
  60.
  61. It was clear though the use of Holy magic, one could tell what was impure for the world. Kuma's memories would slowly drift off towards his own encounter with an occultist. At the time, it seemed both him and occult using woman were hesitating. Not fighting with the ferocity you would expect from people in a life or death situation.
  62.
  63. Kuma could tell there was a strong hesitation in him that caused that. Sure the woman was cautious, didn't want to take to much of a risk once she saw just what Kuma was capable of. But he was face to face with occultism and he chose to not pass judgement on the woman for using such unholy powers, and instead focused on his own safety, wishing to come back alive.
  64.
  65. He had played it off as a man still alive can help protect while a man dead could not. But the whole reason he pursued the holy school of magic was to help others. And what help was he if he wouldn't go all out, do or die against those that should be destroyed.
  66.
  67. A strong determination shone in Kumas eyes as he took the words to heart. It would ease up a little and turn into a smile as he listened into Yvel describe the shapes of holy magic. He found it a little humorous he'd describe the magic as a spear.
  68.
  69. His mind would slowly drift towards the weapon of choice of Radiant Elijah as Yvel said this. Typical Knight way of describing ithe'd think, but as his mind thought over the standing bright figure of the holy knight Elijah, he knew that determination he had seen in the man to stand against occultism was something he needed to embrace.
  70.
  71. "Yeah I think I'm close as well. Your words just now really hit home to me." He'd say over to Yvel. "Feelings of recognizing the enemies of Holy magic, the occultists assaulting us, and knowing we have to pierce them, to destroy them... I feel like if continue though with this train of thought, of filling myself with feelings of passing judgement to those that take on the magic of harm and destruction, to ensure those we care about remain safe, I'll be able to figure out the technique."
  72. (Paca Kuma)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [10:47] "It's difficult to believe Holy magic is anything other than the shield to protect others, After all its what we were all told it was used for when we trained for it, But the truth is this duality is what makes it in conflict to Occultism and it will forever be."
  76.
  77. Yvel had figured out much today, Analyzing not only the structure and how he wanted to use this spell but how he could improve upon it as well, All that was left to do further was to test it. In life combat.
  78.
  79. "Well I suppose I'll go take this further now, I'll go into the mines and reduce the number of monsters and demons. Hopefully that way the miners can safely gather their ore." Yvel had to grow stronger, More out of principle of his knighthood than anything
  80.
  81. And even more so as an Exorcists. Even had he chosen not to continue on the Knights path his life would always be pitted against those who harbor darkness and use the profane knowledge of Occultism.
  82.
  83. The spear dissipated in the atmosphere, Having no target it deemed worthy of delivering judgement on. Yvel would then glance towards Paca having realized even more during his concentration.
  84.
  85. "Because we're allowing holy magic to decide this spell is able to become immensely more powerful. The judgement of humanity is often swayed. We can't hope to always be the arbiters of what's right and wrong. But if something goes against the flow of nature and corrupts it...We who hold the light must give everything we have to extinguish it." Yvel clutched his staff he couldn't fail any more...Even if it came to blows he had to be the stronger of the many.
  86.
  87. "Lets continue to train Paca and become stronger Exorcists. Its the best we can do to combat the occultism and the madness it brings."
  88.
  89. As he spoke he'd began to reform the spear once more, Not giving up in his training, And choosing to continue practicing the spell so he could bring it forth with ease.
  90.
  91. (Yvel Endore)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [11:03] A light sweat had already started to form on Kuma as the training went on. He hadn't done much. Mostly searched his mind, confirmed his feelings and emotions for the journey of mastering the technique. But even that would be quite straining.
  95.
  96. His body would slowly get closer attuned to the offensive side of holy magic thanks to the work Kuma's mind was doing. Kuma's mind that was a crazy mess of flying cars of thoughts shooting off to all corners of his mind in a desperate rush just moments ago, would become orderly and composed.
  97.
  98. The pieces of the puzzle would start to align, like they were all falling into place. A strange itch would come from Paca's arms as they were just jittering to try out what he learnt, what he had practiced, to put it into action. Kuma could taste the technique on his lips, could smell it. He could feel he was getting close.
  99.
  100. "Alright, I'm right behind you." Kuma would say. With the determination he had just worked hard to get, Kuma followed along with Yvel off towards the mines. As he approached, the man steeled himself to unleash blow after blow on the demons that roamed the mines, in an effort to call out the technique in its full glory.
