  8.

  10.
  11. Rental Team 4: Zapdos, Mr. Mime, Electrode, Articuno, Tauros, Jynx - This is your Koga Team

  16.
  17. Rental Team 7: Moltres, Articuno, Starmie, Tentacruel, Magikarp, Ditto - This is your (faster) Brock Team
  18. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  19. Use Team 2 or 7 here
  20. ----------------
  21. BROCK - Pewter Gym
  22. ----------------
  23. Trainer 1
  24. ----------------
  25. Bug Boy: Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Butterfree
  26.
  27. Your Team: Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos
  28.
  29. ~Strategy~
  30. Lead Moltres and spam Fire Blast
  31.
  32. If you miss Fire Blast and Caterpie, Weedle, or Kakuna lands String Shot on you, Moltres will be slower than all of Bug Boy's Pokemon. While it isn't run ending, it does waste time. This also applies to Butterfree's Supersonic.
  33. ----------------
  34. Trainer 2
  35. ----------------
  36. Lad: Ekans, Zubat, Oddish, Paras, Gloom, Bulbasaur
  37.
  38. Your Team: Articuno, Moltres, Ditto
  39.
  40. ~Strategy~
  41. Articuno is faster than all of his Pokemon and Ice Beam 1HKO's all of them, so this is the easiest fight in the run
  42.
  43. You can also Use Moltres and Fire Blast which saves about 2-3 seconds however since Fire Blast has 80% acc. it's recommended that Articuno's Ice Beam is used.
  44. ----------------
  45. Trainer 3
  46. ----------------
  47. Junior ♂: FarFetch'd, Diglett, Pidgey, Dugtrio, Sandshrew, Geodude
  48.
  49. Your Team: Starmie, Articuno, Magikarp
  50.
  51. ~Strategy~
  52. Thunder the birds and Bubblebeam the Grounds
  53. ----------------
  54. Brock
  55. ----------------
  56. Brock: Onix, Graveler, Cubone, Vulpix, Omanyte, Kabuto
  57.
  58. Always has: Onix
  59.
  60. Your Team: Starmie, Articuno, Nidoking
  61.
  62. ~Strategy~
  63. Lead Starmie and Bubblebeam Onix, Vulpix, Cubone, and Graveler (Vulpix is a 2HKO), and Thunder Kabuto and Omanyte (Omanyte is a 2HKO)
  64. OR
  65. Lead Tentacruel and Hydro Pump everything. If you miss Graveler and it Digs, switch into Starmie and read the directions above to finish the fight.
  66.
  67. The Moltres strats for Brock 2 and The Tentacruel strats for Brock are really risky and only save about 6 seconds overall. Wouldn't recommend
  68. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69. Use Team 1 here
  70. ----------------
  71. MISTY - Cerulean Gym
  72. ----------------
  73. Trainer 1
  74. ----------------
  75. Fisher: Squirtle, Poliwag, Magikarp, Wartortle, Seaking, Tentacool
  76.
  77. Your Team: Zapdos, Jolteon, Electrode
  78.
  79. ~Strategy~
  80. Zapdos' Thunder will plow through this team with ease
  81.
  82. Poliwag a dick because if you miss Thunder, it will use Hypnosis likely causing you to fall asleep. It will then spam Amnesia to raise it's Special, which wastes a ton of unnecessary time.
  83. ----------------
  84. Trainer 2
  85. ----------------
  86. Junior ♀: Pidgey, Seadra, Kadabra, Voltorb, Diglett, Jigglypuff
  87.
  88. Your Team: Electrode, Jolteon, Articuno
  89.
  90. ~Strategy~
  91. This is the first bullshit trainer of the run.
  92.
  93. She has 3 possible leads, Seadra (common), Voltorb (uncommon), and Kadabra (rare). Thunder the Seadra, Selfdestruct on the Voltorb and Kadabra. Voltorb won't die unless SD crits. If it is left with 24 or less HP, go into Jolteon and Double Kick, otherwise switch to Articuno (what move you use doesn't matter as it will Explode turn 1)
  94.
  95. If Arti is out, Ice Beam everything
  96.
  97. If Jolteon is out, Thunder anything that isn't Diglett. If you get Diglett switch to Articuno to Ice Beam.
  98. ----------------
  99. Trainer 3
  100. ----------------
  101. Swimmer: Meowth, Goldeen, Mankey, Omanyte, Clefairy, Poliwhirl
  102.
  103. Your Team: Jolteon, Zapdos, Electrode
  104.
  105. ~Strategy~
  106. Spam Thunder with all of your Pokemon
  107.
  108. Clefairy is special because it takes 2 Thunders to kill. However, you can alternatively Double Kick after Thunder for 100% chance of kill, but it wastes around 3 seconds due to animation.
  109. ----------------
  110. Gym Leader
  111. ----------------
  112. Misty: Starmie, Horsea, Psyduck, Blastoise, Staryu, Seel
  113.
  114. Always has: Starmie
  115.
  116. Your Team: Jolteon, Zapdos, Electrode
  117.
  118. ~Strategy~
  119. For all of your Pokemon, just spam Thunder and hope you don't miss
  120.
  121. If you miss Staryu, it will try to lower your Special because of Psychic and if it does, you won't be able to 1HKO Blastoise
  122. If you miss Starmie, it will Paralyze you, and run is pretty much GG
  123. If you miss/don't 1HKO Blastoise, it will use Dig and Jolteon will live unless it crits, good luck
  124. Everything else is no threat and an easy 1HKO with Thunder
  125. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  126. Use Team 3 here
  127. ----------------
  128. SURGE - Vermillion Gym
  129. ----------------
  130. Trainer 1
  131. ----------------
  132. Sailor: Machop, Krabby, Shellder, Golduck, Spearow, Slowpoke
  133.
  134. Your Team: Zapdos, Starmie, Articuno
  135.
  136. ~Strategy~
  137. Spam Thunder with Zapdos
  138.
  139. If you miss Shelder, it will explode and if it crits your Zapdos is dead. Starmie is your back-up after that.
  140. ----------------
  141. Trainer 2
  142. ----------------
  143. Rocker: Porygon, Voltorb, Electrode, Pikachu, Electabuzz, Magnemite
  144.
  145. Your Team: Nidoking, Dugtrio, Starmie
  146.
  147. ~Strategy~
  148. Spam Nidoking's Earthquake
  149.
  150. Porygon will take 2 Earthquakes with a good damage roll, or 3 regardless. If Porygon kills you, or Pikachu with it's Seismic Toss, Clean up with Dugtrio's Dig
  151. ----------------
  152. Trainer 3
  153. ----------------
  154. Old Man: Ponyta, Nidoran, Charmander, Growlithe, Charmeleon
  155.
  156. Your Team: Nidoking, Dugtrio, Metapod
  157.
  158. ~Strategy~
  159. Again, spam Nidoking's Earthquake
  160.
  161. Really easy and straightforward fight. You outspeed everything but Ponyta
  162. ----------------
  163. Gym Leader
  164. ----------------
  165. Surge: Raichu, Pikachu, Magnemite, Magneton, Voltorb, Electrode
  166.
  167. Always has: Raichu
  168.
  169. Your Team: Nidoking, Articuno, Dugtrio
  170.
  171. ~Strategy~
  172. Lead Nidoking. If he leads Voltorb or Electrode, switch to Articuno. Otherwise Earthquake
  173.
  174. After the Selfdestruct or Explosion, if he sends out Magneton, hit him with Ice Beam. Otherwise immediately switch to Nidoking and Earthquake.
  175.
  176. If Raichu crits Surf on Nidoking, it's dead. Send out Dugtrio and Dig. You can still win, but it's slower
  177. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  178. Use Team 2 here
  179. ----------------
  180. ERIKA - Celadon Gym
  181. ----------------
  182. Trainer 1
  183. ----------------
  184. Lass: Paras, Eevee, Rattata, Cubone, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff
  185.
  186. Your Team: Kabutops, Articuno, Nidoking
  187.
  188. ~Strategy~
  189. The goal here is to set up one Swords Dance with Kabutops on Jiggly/Rattata/Eevee then sweep Lass's team with Submission, Take Down, and Hydro Pump.
  190.
  191. Jigglypuff, Rattata, and Eevee all have some way of screwing you over:
  192. Jigglypuff has to potential to freeze you with Ice Beam
  193. Rattata can paralyze you with Thunder
  194. Eevee is probably the worst of the three as it can use both Double Team and Sand Attack (you better hope they use Quick Attack)
  195.
  196. Between Take Down, Submission, and Hydro Pump, Kabutops is attacking with 80%-85% acc. moves. In a worst case scenario, have Articuno come in and Ice Beam
  197. ----------------
  198. Trainer 2
  199. ----------------
  200. Beauty: Staryu, Seaking, Dratini, Rhyhorn, Doduo, Pidgeotto
  201.
  202. Your Team: Zapdos, Nidoking, Articuno
  203.
  204. ~Strategy~
  205. Lead Zapdos and Thunder everything besides Rhyhorn and Dratini. If you get anything else besides Seaking, switch to Nidoking
  206.
  207. Nidoking IS faster than Dratini (and Pidgeotto, Rhyhorn, Seaking, and Doduo) so if you wanna Yolodrill you can, but it's a 2HKO with Earthquake. If she sends out Staryu, send in Zapdos to take care of it
  208. ----------------
  209. Trainer 3
  210. ----------------
  211. Cool Girl: Marowak, Chansey, Parasect, Nidorina, Nidorino, Lickitung
  212.
  213. Your Team: Nidoking, Kabutops, Articuno
  214.
  215. ~Strategy~ (The normal way)
  216. Chansey has the 55% accuracy sleep move "Sing". While this move seemingly has low accuracy, Sing will normally land and your Pokemon will helplessly fall asleep. Don't fall asleep.
  217.
  218. Nidoking
  219. If Chansey, Nidorina, Nidorino, or Lickitung, Earthquake
  220. If Marowak or Parasect, switch into Arti and Ice Beam
  221.
  222. Once Nidoking or Arti is asleep, swap out to Kabutops and set up a Swords Dance. Chansey shouldn't use Sing here.
  223.
  224. Kabutops
  225. If Chansey and Lickitung, Submission
  226. If Parasect, Nidorino, or Nidorina, Take Down
  227. If Marowak, Hydro Pump
  228.
  229. If Cool Trainer doesn't have Chansey, the battle is much simpler. Both Articuno and Nidoking can 1-2HKO all of Cool Trainer's team with their respective STAB moves.
  230.
  231. ~Strategy~ (The "I fucking hate this trainer" way)
  232. Nidoking
  233. If Parasect or Lickitung, Horn Drill
  234. If Marowak, Nidorina, and Nidorino, Earthquake
  235.
  236. When/if Nidoking dies, send out Articuno and clean up with Ice Beam
  237. ----------------
  238. Gym Leader
  239. ----------------
  240. Erika: Gloom, Victreebel, Tangela, Vileplume, Weepinbell, Exeggcute
  241.
  242. Always has: Gloom
  243.
  244. Your Team: Moltres, Articuno, Nidoking
  245.
  246. ~Strategy~
  247. Spam Moltres' Fire Blast
  248.
  249. You don't want Tangela and Weepinbell, and preferably not Vileplume too. Tangela and Weepinbell have Wrap and Stun Spore so a missed Fire Blast can leave Moltres paralyzed and susceptible to Wrap stall; Which is the last thing you want. If that happens bring in Articuno to clean up. Vileplume has Sleep Powder just like Gloom, so be careful. Worst case scenario bring in Nidoking and start Yolodrilling
  250.
  251. Erika is the first somewhat complicated gym in the run, so congrats on making it this far, still have got another ~60 minutes to go
  252. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  253. Use Team 4 here
  254. ----------------
  255. KOGA - Fuchsia Gym
  256. ----------------
  257. Trainer 1
  258. ----------------
  259. Biker: Koffing, Weezing, Grimer, Venonat, Ditto, Tentacool
  260.
  261. Your Team: Mr. Mime, Articuno, Jynx
  262.
  263. ~Strategy~
  264. Spam Psychic to win. Excluding Ditto, everything is an OHKO
  265.
  266. For Ditto, Psychic him once and then Seismic Toss to finish it off. Remember that Seismic Toss only does 50 damage since Mr. Mime is level 50. If Ditto has more than 50 HP after a Psychic, Psychic him again. Otherwise, Seismic Toss for the kill
  267.
  268. However, if you Psychic the Ditto and you drop it's Special, Psychic again regardless because the Biker will likely switch
  269. ----------------
  270. Trainer 2
  271. ----------------
  272. Tamer: Kingler, Sandslash, Scyther, Ivysaur, Weepinbell, Machoke
  273.
  274. Suggested Team: Articuno, Zapdos, Jynx
  275.
  276. ~Strategy~
  277. Lead with Articuno and Ice Beam everything. Kingler is a 3HKO with Ice Beam, Machoke is a 2HKO. Scyther outspeeds Articuno, but is a 1HKO
  278. ----------------
  279. Trainer 3
  280. ----------------
  281. Juggler: Drowzee, Kadabra, Mr. Mime, Hypno, Abra, Slowbro
  282.
  283. Suggested Team: Tauros, Electrode, Zapdos
  284.
  285. ~Strategy~
  286. Have Tauros Strength, unless Slowbro comes in, in which case bring in Zapdos and Thunder
  287. ----------------
  288. Gym Leader
  289. ----------------
  290. Koga: Muk, Weezing, Nidorina, Nidorino, Venonat, Venomoth
  291.
  292. Suggested Team: Jynx, Electrode, Mr. Mime
  293.
  294. ~Strategy~
  295. Psychic everything situation. If Jynx dies on anyone but Venemoth, switch into Mr. Mime (who's in a speed tie with Venemoth), but if Jynx dies on Venemoth, go into Electrode and Thunder, Swift, or Selfdestruct
  296. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  297. Use Team 5 here
  298. ----------------
  299. SABRINA - Saffron Gym
  300. ----------------
  301. Trainer 1
  302. ----------------
  303. Cueball: Machop, Mankey, Dragonair, Primeape, Rhyhorn, Dewgong
  304.
  305. Suggested Team: Jynx, Articuno, Nidoking
  306.
  307. ~Strategy~
  308. Lead with Jynx. Psychic Machop, Mankey, Primeape, and Dewgong (3HKO). Ice Punch Rhyhorn and Dragonair (2HKO)
  309. ----------------
  310. Trainer 2
  311. ----------------
  312. Burglar ("It's this Pyro prick again" -Pokehero): Vulpix, Ponyta, Rapidash, Growlithe, Ninetales, Charmeleon
  313.
  314. Suggested Team: Nidoking, Tauros, Zapdos
  315.
  316. ~Strategy~
  317. Plow through this team with Nidoking. Unless Rapidash's Horn Drill takes you out, this should be an easy fight. If Horn Drill hits, bring in Tauros and Strength everything
  318. ----------------
  319. Trainer 3
  320. ----------------
  321. Medium: Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Golbat, Lickitung, Tentacruel
  322.
  323. Suggested Team: Jynx, Nidoking, Articuno
  324.
  325. ~Strategy~
  326. Lead with Jynx. Psychic everything.
  327.
  328. If Jynx dies on Haunter or Gengar, bring in Nidoking to finish with Earthquake. Otherwise, send in Zapdos and use Thunder a lot
  329. ----------------
  330. Gym Leader
  331. ----------------
  332. Sabrina: Alakazam, Jynx, Exeggutor, Hypno, Mr. Mime, Kadabra
  333.
  334. Always has: Alakazam
  335.
  336. Suggested Team: Articuno, Tauros, Electrode
  337.
  338. ~Strategy~
  339. Sabrina has 4 possible leads: Exeggutor, Hypno, Mr. Mime, and Alakazam.
  340.
  341. Lead Articuno. Ice Beam Hypno, Mr. Mime, and Exeggutor. Mr. Mime and Exeggutor are 2-HKOs. Hypno is a 3HKO but likes to use the Hypnosis-Dream Eater combo. If Hypno puts Articuno to sleep, swap to Tauros and finish him off with Strength. It should be a 1-3HKO depending on how much damage Articuno dealt to him.
  342.
  343. Tauros' Strength 2HKOs Alakazam and OHKOs Kadabra.
  344.
  345. Electrode's Selfdestruct does not OHKO the Mr. Mime
  346.
  347. Switch into Electrode if Jynx comes out. One of two things will happen here. Jynx will either use Lovely Kiss or Ice Punch. What move Jynx uses depends on the status of the Pokemon you switched out of. Optimally, Articuno or Tauros will get Poisoned by Alakazam or Exeggutor somewhere in the battle and force Jynx to use Ice Punch on Electrode
  348. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  349. Use Team 6 here
  350. ----------------
  351. BLAINE - Cinnabar Gym
  352. ----------------
  353. Trainer 1
  354. ----------------
  355. Judoboy: Primeape, Machoke, Machamp, Hitmonlee, Nidoking, Raticate
  356.
  357. Suggested Team: Jynx, Articuno, Nidoking
  358.
  359. ~Strategy~
  360. Jynx's Psychic will devastate this trainer's team
  361. ----------------
  362. Trainer 2
  363. ----------------
  364. Psychic: Jynx, Slowbro, Starmie, Poliwrath, Alakazam, Hypno
  365.
  366. Suggested Team: Zapdos, Articuno, Starmie
  367.
  368. ~Strategy~
  369. This fight is slightly annoying due to the general nature of Psychic types in Gen 1.
  370.
  371. Lead with Zapdos. Thunder everything in sight except for Hypno, and with Hypno set up a Substitute before spamming Thunder to protect yourself from Hypnosis
  372.
  373. Generally speaking, use STAB moves to win
  374. ----------------
  375. Trainer 3
  376. ----------------
  377. Nerd: Golem, Muk, Cloyster, Snorlax, Exeggutor, Electrode
  378.
  379. Suggested Team: Zapdos, Articuno, Nidoking
  380.
  381. ~Strategy~
  382. This is a very odd fight. All of Nerd's Pokemon can and will spontaneously combust without any warning. To shield yourself from witnessing this horrifying experience, you're going to hide and cry behind little dolls until everything is over.
  383.
  384. Lead off with Zapdos. The basic plan for this fight is to use Substitute on Nerd's first two Pokemon and then swap to an appropriate Pokemon to finish off the third. All of his Pokemon know and use Explosion/Selfdestruct.
  385.
  386. If Cloyster
  387. Keep in Zapdos and use Thunder
  388.
  389. If Exeggutor
  390. Switch to Articuno and use Ice Beam
  391.
  392. If Golem, Muk, Snorlax or Electrode
  393. Switch to Nidoking and use Earthquake
  394. ----------------
  395. Gym Leader
  396. ----------------
  397. Blaine: Magmar, Arcanine, Rapidash, Charizard, Clefable, Kangaskhan
  398.
  399. Always has: Charizard
  400.
  401. Suggested Team: Vaporeon, Starmie, Zapdos
  402.
  403. ~Strategy~
  404. Lead with Vaporeon and spam Surf. Good damage rolls are great because they allow Vaporeon to clean up with Quick attack (Keep in mind Quick Attack from Vaporeon only does about 14-17 damage) Vaporeon will kill everything minus Clefable in 1-2 hits with Surf.
  405.
  406. Keep Vaporeon in until it dies except if Rapidash comes out, try Surf once. If Rapidash uses Fire Spin and connects, switch to Starmie to kill.
  407.
  408. If it's Vaporeon versus Arcanine (except if Arcanine leads) use Acid Armor first turn then use Surf.
  409.
  410. Have Vaporeon stay in as long as possible, Surfing everything, then bring in Starmie to help finish with Bubblebeam. Worst case scenario, you'll have to bring Zapdos in to finish up.
  411. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  412. Use Team 1 here
  413. ----------------
  414. GIOVANNI - Viridian Gym (Also known as, Electrode: Taking one for the team)
  415. ----------------
  416. Trainer 1
  417. ----------------
  418. Rocket: Golbat, Raticate, Persian, Moltres, Dodrio, Parasect
  419.
  420. Your Team: Electrode, Jolteon, Articuno
  421.
  422. ~Strategy~
  423. This fight isn't too difficult. The battle plan here is to lead with Electrode and Thunder or Selfdestruct depending on his lead
  424.
  425. Thunder Dodrio, Golbat, Moltres, and Persian. Moltres and Persian are 2HKOs; while the first 2 are 1HKOs
  426.
  427. Selfdestruct on Parasect, and Raticate. Neither of these will be a 1HKO without a crit.
  428.
  429. If you Selfdestruct and lose Electrode, bring in Articuno and spam Ice Beam. Jolteon is back-up if you lose Articuno
  430. ----------------
  431. Trainer 2
  432. ----------------
  433. Lab Man: Kabutops, Magneton, Fearow, Hitmonchan, Poliwrath, Lickitung
  434.
  435. Your Team: Electrode, Jolteon, Nidoking
  436.
  437. ~Strategy~
  438. This fight is really silly; every Pokemon here has Double Team and abuses whenever they can. So be careful
  439.
  440. Lead with Electrode. Like the previous fight, Thunder or Selfdestruct depending on what Pokemon are out.
  441.
  442. If he leads Magneton, switch to Nidoking and Earthquake
  443. (Note: Nidoking is not faster than Fearow)
  444.
  445. For this fight, you'll want to Thunder Fearow, Kabutops, Hitmonchan, and Poliwrath and Selfdestruct on Lickitung. If Hitmonchan lives a Thunder, finish him off with Swift.
  446.
  447. Jolteon 1HKOs Kabutops, Fearow, and Poliwrath with Thunder. He also 2-HKOs Lickitung with a Thunder -> Double Kick combo.
  448.
  449. If he has both Fearow and Magneton you're screwed. Your best bet at winning is for Nidoking to kill Fearow with a series of Double Kicks in order for the Lab Man to stop doging the Earthquakes.

  453. Cool Guy: Pinsir, Omastar, Dodrio, Clefable, Tentacruel, Zapdos
  454.
  455. Suggested Team: Electrode, Zapdos, Articuno
  456.
  457. ~Strategy~
  458. Welcome to the hardest trainer in the entire speedrun
  459.
  460. Lead with Electrode. Selfdestruct Pinsir. Thunder Omastar, Dodrio, Tentacruel, and Zapdos (If he leads Zapstor, Thunder as much as you can, and then Selfdestruct when you're close to dying). If he leads Clefable, Thunder, then Swift, then Selfdestruct
  461.
  462. Zapdos can handle Clefable and Pinsir with Thunder. With Zapstor, it's a hard battle. Zapdos on Zapdos action. Set up a Substitute then spam Thunders until he dies. You just want good luck
  463.
  464. It is possible Zapdos still dies, so Articuno is your backup. Spam Ice Beam and pray against his team
  465.
  466. If he doesn't have Zapstor, this battle is much simpler. Good job

  470. Giovanni: Persian, Dugtrio, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Rhydon, Tauros
  471.
  472. Always has: Persian
  473.
  474. Your Team: Articuno, Nidoking, Jynx
  475.
  476. ~Strategy~
  477. Lead with Articuno and spam Ice Beam until you get KO'd. If Arti dies on Persian/Tauros, bring in Nidoking to sweep the rest of his team with Earthquake. If Arti gets KO'd on anything else, bring in Jynx to spam Psychic (except on Dugtrio and Rhyhorn) Nidoking can survive a non-crit Dugtrio Dig.
  478.
  479. Nidoqueen is 2HKO'd by Ice Beam and Psychic. Nidoking is 1HKOd by Ice Beam and 2HKOd by Psychic. Rhydon is 1HKOd by Ice Beam and 2HKOd by Ice Punch. Dugtrio is 1HKOd by Ice Beam and 1-2HKOd by Ice Punch.

  487. Lorelei: Dewgong, Cloyster, Slowbro, Jynx, Lapras, Articuno
  488.
  489. Suggested Team: Zapdos, Jolteon, Electrode
  490.
  491. ~Strategy~
  492. Articuno, Lapras, and Jynx are 2HKOs with Thunder, Dewgong is a damage roll, and the other 2 are a guaranteed 1HKO with Thunder
  493.
  494. If Zapdos dies, bring in Jolteon then Electrode

  496. Trainer 2

  498. Bruno: Onix, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Machamp, Golem, Rhydon
  499.
  500. Suggested Team: Articuno, Jynx, Nidoking
  501.
  502. ~Strategy~
  503. Bruno is the easiest of the Elite 4. Lead with Articuno and spam Ice Beam. Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan are damage rolls, and Machamp is a 2HKO. EZPZ

  505. Trainer 3
  506. ----------------
  507. Agatha: Haunter, Golbat, Arbok, Muk, Venusaur, Gengar
  508.
  509. Suggested Team: Jynx, Articuno, Nidoking
  510.
  511. ~Strategy~
  512. Gengar lead is good because it'll just use Bide, which gives an ample amount of time to kill with Psychic
  513.
  514. Everything is a 2HKO with Psychic except for Arbok which is a damage roll
  515.
  516. Haunter is a bitch, it will fuck you up with Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, and Dream Eater. May RNG be with you
  517.
  518. But essentially just spam Psychic and pray
  519.
  520. Jynx is here to fulfill all of your needs. Need a reliable and stress free way to deal with Agatha? Jynx is your Pokemon. Need a Pokemon to help make Bruno even easier? Jynx is there for you. Are you looking to spam Cooltrainermichael's follow button so he gets thousands of e-mails? Jynx is the Pokemon for you. Kappab

  522. Elite 4 Leader
  523. ----------------
  524. Lance: Gyarados, Dragonair, Charizard, Lapras, Aerodactyl, Kangaskhan
  525.
  526. Suggested Team: Jolteon, Zapdos, Electrode
  527.
  528. ~Strategy~ (Consistent way)
  529. Lead Jolteon. They key is to spam Thunder on everything and hope you get lucky. Jolteon 2HKOs Kangaskhan and Lapras, but with Lapras, you can Thunder once, and if Lapras has 40 or less HP, you can Double Kick for the KO. Jolteon can survive 2 Blizzards (usually), and outspeeds everything except Aerodactyl. If Dragonair leads/comes out, use Thunder twice and the second time, Dragonair should Wrap you. After it hits you, switch to Zapdos.
  530.
  531. When Zapdos goes out against Dragonair, use Substitute
  532.
  533. When Zapdos comes out on Dragonair (If Jolteon dies, you send out Zapdos as a back-up to Thunder everything), repeatedly Thunder while setting up a Substitute, or you can Sky Attack (the riskier, but usually faster option) and kill after burning a turn and KO his worst Pokemon. Everything else is a 1-2HKO with Thunder.
  534.
  535. Electrode is there for really back-up incase something goes horribly wrong.
  536.
  537. Suggested Team: Articuno, Jolteon, Zapdos
  538.
  539. ~Strategy~ (Faster way)
  540. Lead with Articuno. If Lance leads with anything but Lapras, Ice Beam. Once you see Lapras, swap out of Articuno and go into Zapdos. Lapras should hit Zapdos with a T-Bolt on the switch-in. The goal here is to have Zapdos low on HP when Dragonair comes in. This will make Dragonair use Ice Beam instead of T-Wave -> Wrap allowing you to predict Ice Beam and swap into Arti to retaliate with an Ice Beam of your own for the KO. From here on out, you should be able to take care of Lance with Thunder/Ice Beam spam.
  541.
  542. Alternatively, Lance may not even have Lapras or Dragonair, or not have either of them at all. If this happens, stay in with Articuno and Ice Beam Lance's lead. His team shouldn't really be a problem. Worst case scenario, Lance doesn't have Lapras and instead has a surprise Dragonair with a Kangaskhan lead. Since Arti is usually KOd by Kangaskhan, Dragonair will get to have it's way with you. To avoid this, feel free to swap to Jolteon against Kangaskhan lead and Thunder it. Then go into Zapdos and finish him with Thunder. The rest of the battle should be fairly easy.

  546. Rival: Electabuzz, Exeggutor, Clefable, Slowbro, Ninetales, Pinsir
  547.
  548. Suggested Team: Nidoking, Zapdos, Articuno
  549.
  550. ~Strategy~
  551. This fight is bizarre. But there are some strats to use on each Pokemon
  552.
  553. Electabuzz: Sets up a Reflect first turn. Earthquake becomes a 2HKO (cannot Horn Drill)
  554.
  555. Ninetales: Digs when you have Nidoking out. OHKO with good damage rolled Earthquake, but usually a 2HKO (cannot Horn Drill)
  556.
  557. Slowbro: Thunder with Zapdos (Can Horn Drill)
  558.
  559. Exeggutor: Ice Beam with Articuno [2HKO], Sky Attack with Zapdos [OHKO] (Can Horn Drill)
  560.
  561. Pinsir: Ice Beam with Articuno [2HKO], Thunder with Zapdos [2HKO] (cannot Horn Drill)
  562.
  563. Clefable: Ice Beam with Articuno [2-3HKO], Thunder with Zapdos [2-3HKO] (Can Horn Drill)
  564.
  565. You're going to have to actually use your knowledge of Pokemon to win this battle as switching may be necessary, good luck
