  1. There was a lot of debate as to which team would reach the spawn point first, which largely circled around which team was able to act more cohesively. I generally come down on Corv's side more often than not here, he succinctly points out the logical issues that come with "Snort/Ath carry the team to the spawn". Verlux does the same with pointing out June's in character motivation and issues with communicating between parties. Corv manages to convince me that the situation June is in is enough of a threat to her person to let Raizo ride Nyla, and I generally buy the logic of "Talan goes to the spawn point because he knows it's a point of mutual interest between parties." So Corv's team gets to the spawn point first and sets up an ambush while Verlux team trails shortly behind.

  3. For all the downplaying of Verlux's teams feats that Corv does, he never posts evidence of his own teams competency in many key areas. June/Nyla+ Talan are never given any durability or speed feats outside of their travel abilities. Whether Verlux's scans are as good as he claims they are is much less material to me when your team doesn't have anything compared for me to compare them to. As stands, Verlux's team is at least "faster than regular people" to me, a standard that isnt ever proven for the majority of Corv's team. This, combined with Verlux's team's ability to one shot, means that Corvs team needs to put down Verlux's team with stealth before an outright fight can happen.

  5. For that reason, i'm giving this to Verlux. Talan and Raizo's respective stealth are, to me, insufficient. Talan's stealth is only argued to be sufficient to surprised Nanashi, whereas Roland and Ath will see him in advance, so to me this has less than a 1/3 chance of being successful. Raizo's stealth vs. scent is good, but Verlux points out that regular people are capable of detecting ninja stealth in this film, so Roland and Ath will see him coming. At this point they're entering a straightforward fight, where Verlux's team has posited speed feats and feats for damage output that leave me to believe they mog.
