  1. My Giant and Me, Part 3
  2.
  3. >lying on the porch with your babies, half-asleep both from taking only short naps so you can always watch your babies and the gentle warmth of Spring getting to you.
  4. >Bruce has gone back inside the house to do something that Saint Bernards do.
  5. >Daddy says that Bruce can go inside during the day because he's too big to get Owies from anything.
  6. >You agree. Bruce's feet are almost as big as your head, let alone the rest of him.
  7. >So very glad that Bruce is always so gentle.
  8. >You'd like to go inside sometimes, but Bruce's Door is a meanie!
  9. >Far, far too heavy for you to push open. Only Bruce can push it open with his head, and even he has to squeeze in.
  10. >Babies are sleeping, their little tummies bulging with your milk.
  11. >The sight makes your heart swell with warmth, love and pride.
  12. >Daddy will be back later, took 'bright-Flashy-thing' pictures of your babies, said that the Lahy-Dees at work would love it.
  13. >No idea what a 'Lahy-Dee' is, but Daddy sure was excited ....
  14. >Mmmmph. Sleepy .....
  15.
  16. ************************************************************************************************************
  17.
  18. >"Hewe!" You whispered to the other Fluffies, as you all crept along the fence.
  19. >There was the hole that led to the Yard with the sweet grass, and the fat, sweet Mare. She complained a lot, didn't want Special Hugs, but she should be know better, Mares always give Special Hugs to Stallions!
  20. >But ... that Monster .....
  21. >Never seen anything so big or scary in your life! Yet the Red Mare cheered when she saw it!
  22. >..... Whatever. It's certainly long gone by now.
  23. >Herd is only two-dozen strong, with three Fluffy Mummas, one nasty-tempered Bad Mumma, a handful of Foals, and the rest are Stallions.
  24. >Fluffy Mummas and the Bad Mumma are all that are left of your Mares after another Herd enticed your Mares away with the promise of 'Sketti'. The Fluffy Mummas alone couldn't leave because, without their attendants, they couldn't move on their own.
  25. >Bad Mumma was too busy trying to find her Foals. She'd had two, but lost them several days ago. She did that a lot. Had to keep her from stealing other Foals, because she kept on playing rough with them or leaving them behind to get nummies or have Special Hugs.
  26. >Stupid Mares. There is no Sketti outside of the Hoomin Houses .... it was a Trick! Mares are so stupid!
  27. >They are going to have sore naughty places and torn fluff by the time the other Herd has had their fun. Might be let go, might be forced to stay in the other Herd, might get run over by a Fast Squishing Monster.
  28. >Right now you couldn't really care what happens to them.
  29. >Might take them back if they apologise for being Bad Stupid Fluffies, but first ... you're going to pick up your Mare.
  30. >Eat the grass, eat the sweet, sweet plants, have more Special Hugs with the Red Mare and stay as long as you can.
  31. >Herd grumbles and pushes the Fluffy Mummas along, who wimper and cry about not getting the 'Sketti'.
  32. >How many times have you explained .....
  33. >"Hewe, Fwuffies, hewe is howe to 'Yawd'." You whisper conspirationally as the Fluffies crowd around and start to slip under the old, broken fence-panels, scraping at the hole to enlarge it so the Fluffy Mummas can be easily rolled under.
  34. >Takes what feels like forever.
  35. >Actually, ten minutes, but still!
  36. >Stallions are annoyed and heart-broken that their Special Friends left them for nummies.
  37. >Foals cry that they were abandoned.
  38. >Fluffy Mummas want 'Sketti' too!
  39. >Urge to Smack a Fluffy, rising....
  40. >Then, the hole is big enough, and you push, push, push the Fluffy Mummas down, squishing them against the fence panels, then they squeak, pop down and are pulled up by their fluff by the Stallions who already squished through before.
  41. >Finally, Grasses, Nummies, and the Sweet Red Mare....
  42. >Fluffies stay behind the bushes, drooling as their eyes settle on the grass and the brightly-coloured, sweetly-smelling flowers in the garden.
  43. >"Fwuffies haf nummies, buh be cawefuw." You caution as the Stallions slowly roll the Fluffy Mummas around behind the bushes, snatching flowers and sweet young leaves off the nearest plants and bushes to feed themselves and the Foals who don't still need milk.
  44. >Fluffy Mumma snatch mouthfuls every time they roll past a branch or a plant, and the Foals that still need milk whine and cry, trying to get a mouthful of a teat, but the Fluffy Mumma 'won't stay stiww!'
  45. >Unnnnngh.
  46. >Whatever.
  47. >Time to find the Sweet Red Mare .... maybe she's on the other side of the Garden?
  48. >"BIG POOPIES!" The largest of the Mares, a yellow Mare with a pink mane, screams, making the other Fluffies squeak and rush out into the yard, panicking at the loud, unexpected sound.
  49. >"Nnnnnnnnnnnngh!" You groan and rush over to her. Big Poopies? The idiot is having her Foals! IDIOT!
  50. >You're just glad the Dog-Munsta didn't hear!
  51. >Because you never explained to the Herd that a Dog-Musnta lived in the Yard, otherwise they never would have followed you here!
  52.
  53. ************************************************************************************************************
  54.
  55. >You were dreaming about when you first got picked by Daddy. So small and lonely then, lived in a box with your siblings, and cried every day for your Mummy.
  56. >Daddy came and picked you up, smiled and said you were going to go home with him, then bought the whole box and took all your brothers and sisters home.
  57. >You were all delighted to have a Daddy, but you all missed your Fluffy Mummy.
  58. >Daddy found new Daddies and Mummies for your siblings, but he kept you. Said you were his favourite.
  59. >Made you so happy. And Bruce was always there, so you didn't feel so lonely when you were the only Fluffy left in the yard.
  60. >Had a dream about your brothers and sisters ..... that they had come home again .... but it's not a dream.
  61. >It's a nightmare.
  62. >You peer out over the edge of the porch, staring at the Strange Fluffies.
  63. >They are dirty, their fluff ragged, lank and greasy with sweat and worse, their voices shrill and demanding as they rampage through Daddy's garden, tearing off the pretty flowers, snapping off branches and eating the leaves, stomping on the other plants as they bicker and squabble.
  64. >Babies clutch you, not knowing what is happening but feeling so very nervous as they pick up on your fear.
  65. >And you also see him. The Meanie Pink Pegasus who hurt you, gave you Bad Special Hugs. The Father of your Foals.
  66. >Don't want him here, don't want him to hurt your foals....
  67. >"Baybehs be quiet an' hide fwom da Bad Fwuffies. Mumma get Bwuce." You whisper to them, and they go very quiet, holding their hooves over their faces.
  68. >Good. They know how to hide.
  69. >Creep over to Bruce's Door and tap it with your nose.
  70. >No response. Can hear the Bad Fluffies yelling at each other, yelling and yelling and yelling, getting so very angry with each other.
  71. >Risk it, and bang on the door with a hoof.
  72. >Nnnngh! Hurts! Bruce's Door is so big and heavy and mean!
  73. >"Bwuuuuuuuuce! Siwk need yuu! Pwease!" You whine, pressing your face to the edge of the door and trying to see in through the gap.
  74. >Bruce is lying there, asleep.
  75. >"BWUCE! BWUCE! Siwk need Bwuce scawe Bad Fwuffies away!" You whisper at him, but Bruce can't hear you.
  76. >So scared .....
  77. >Shuffle back to your babies, who are shivering and being very good and hiding behind their hooves.
  78. >Crouch down low over them and try to be brave.
  79. >"It oh-tay, Baybehs, Mumma hide yuu!" You whisper to them as the Bad Fluffies start to scream and cry ever louder.
  80.
  81. ************************************************************************************************************
  82.
  83. >Be a White-Fluffed Earth Fluffy with a pale grey mane and tail.
  84. >You didn't 'lose' your Foals, like that idiotic Pink Smarty Friend insisted. They wandered off on their own.
  85. >You wanted to have nummies, they should have known to wait for you.
  86. >Then you had to have not-pretties, then some more nummies, then found a piece of paper and rolled it up into a ball.
  87. >Couldn't find your babies after that. They must have wandered off on their own.
  88. >Smarty Friend was sooooo angry. He is so stupid, you did everything you were supposed to, cleaned the babies, gave them milk.
  89. >Couldn't you have just five minutes to yourself?
  90. >Other Fluffy Mummas don't want you around, not after you tried to get your babies back from them.
  91. >Because they must be hiding inside the other Fluffy Mummas. Where else could they be?
  92. >But nooooo, Stupid Smarty Friend not let you have Sketti, not let you make Bad Fluffy Mummas give you back your babies, now wants you to feed the Foals who got left behind.
  93. >Pffffft! As if you would do that! This milk is for your babies, not somebody else's!
  94. >Wandering away from the Herd, so you don't get bullied into giving up your milk, when you see a big, beautiful Red Mare hiding on the wooden platform around the Hoomin's Cave, shivering and staring at the Hewd.
  95. >"Why yuu dere?" You shout at her, making her squeak and crouch down low. "Why yuu not wit' Hewd? Fwuffie nu see yuu befowe."
  96. >"Siwk is nu hewe! Siwk is nu hewe!" She replies back, whispering at you and shaking in fear.
  97. >Stupid Fluffy! Fluffies belong in Herds!
  98. >"Yuu come! Bad to be awone. Come to Hewd, pway wit' Fwiends." You tell her, smiling at her.
  99. >Smells like a Fluffy Mumma. Good. She can give milk to the whining, crying Foals while you keep looking for your ...
  100. >Something squeaks under her Fluff.
  101. >Your eyes open wide. You know that sound.
  102. >"MAH BAYBEHS!" You shout in delight. She found them for you!
  103.
  104. ************************************************************************************************************
  105.
  106. >"Why...." You groan, staring at the Foals.
  107. >All three Fluffy Mummas gave birth. Six new babies, six new Herd-Mates.
  108. >Only one is a Mare. More Stallions .....
  109. >And one is a runt.
  110. >It's passed back and forth between each of the Mummas, who sniff it, scrunch up their faces and mutter 'Bad Baybeh' before passing it on.
  111. >You grab it as the Fluffy Mummas go to make a third pass of handing the Runt around, and it squeal in fear as it feels your teeth clamp around it.
  112. >"Smawty Fwiend?" A Stallion asks, looking worried.
  113. >"Gun get Bad Baybeh teww whewe Good Baybeh be hideh." You grunt around your squirming, bitter mouthful, grimacing at the taste of the Runt on your tongue.
  114. >You trot away and place it several meters from the Herd.
  115. >"Yuu is Bad Baybeh. Fwuffies nu wan yuu! Gif back Guud Baybeh yuu hide!" You demand of the Runt, but it just squeaks and holds it legs out to you, eyes half-closed, mouth opening and closing, as if looking for a teat.
  116. >Kick it away and snort in disgust. Runts. Smell bitter, like bad-bad leaves and the yikky-not-water you sometimes find in stagnant pools.
  117. >So, five more mouths to feed, and only one of them is worth a damn....
  118. >Dammit!
  119. >Where is that stupid Bad Mumma ...
  120. >She's up on the porch, kicking at something.....
  121. >......
  122. >"Dat my Mawe!" You shout angrily, taking off towards the struggle, with half the Stallions trailing in your wake, asking what is going on, did you find the Good Baby yet?
  123.
  124. ************************************************************************************************************
  125.
  126. >"Nuuuu, dey my baybehs!" You shouted as the Meanie White Fluffy pulled at your ears, tore your fluff away, kicked at your naughty place.
  127. >But you refused to move. She wasn't as big as you, and couldn't pull you away from your babies, whom you kneeled over and sheltered under your fluff.
  128. >Could hear them squeaking in fear as each blow made you shake, but you kept yourself from falling down like you wanted to, so they wouldn't squish.
  129. >"Dey mine! Yuu stowe dem!" The Meanie White Fluffy snarled, then bit your ear again and pulled and pulled and pulled, making you squeal in pain.
  130. >"Nu! Onwy had dem otha day! Pwease, Siwk is Guud Mumma, nu wan owies, jus' wan wook afta hew Babies!" You protested as the Meanie White Fluffy changed tactics and crouched down low, biting at your belly fluff and trying to poke a leg under you.
  131. >"Dey mine! I is Guud Mumma! Nu wose Baybehs, Bad Fwuffie stowe dem!" She grunted angrily, and you felt her hoof strike one of the babies, making it squeal in alarm. "See! They nu wuv yuu! GIF BAYBEHS!"
  132. >"BWUUUUUUUUUUCE!" You squealed as loud as you could, and you hope that the thumping you heard was Bruce waking up .....
  133. >But it came from the steps .... maybe Bruce came out the other side of the house? You turned to look over your shoulder .... and felt your heart stop for a second in fear.
  134. >Oh, no, not him.
  135. >Meanie Pink Pegasus is back, staring at you, grinning.
  136. >"Speshaw Fwiend haf mah Baybehs?" He laughed, a horrible giggle that made your heart shrink. He made the same laugh as he cornered you the last time.
  137. >"Nu, dese mah baybehs!" The White Mare shrieked, glaring at the Pink Pegasus. "DEY MINE!"
  138. >"Yuu wost yuu Baybehs! Yuu is Bad Fwuffy Mumma!" The Pink Pegasus shouted back, grabbing the White Mare's tail and dragging her away.
  139. >There's a gaggle of Bad Fluffies behind them, staring at you, shouting questions.
  140. >"Dat Mawe gif Speshaw Huggies?" "Smawty Fwiend nu find Guud Baybehs yet?" "Hewwo Fwiend! Yuu is Hewd-Mawe now!"
  141. >Sob and cry and try to scrunch down as tightly over your babies as you can as the White Mare and Pink Pegasus square off and scream abuse at each other, snapping at each other's ears, when you hear the sound of salvation....
  142. >It's the loud, high-pitched screeeeeeee-kik of Bruce's Door being opened.
  143.
  144. ************************************************************************************************************
  145.
  146. >The whole Brouha stops, every Fluffy staring at the Munsta that appeared, squeezing out from a piece of the Hoomin Cave that just swung open, glaring at them all.
  147. >The Munsta turns, sniffling the ground, and takes two big steps, reaching your Red Mare in a heartbeat.
  148. >Sniffs her, whines loudly.
  149. >"Bwuuuuuuuuce!" You Red Mare whimpers pitifully, and the Dog Munsta whines in response. "Meanie Fwuffies huwt Siwk! Pwease nu wet dem huwt Siwk's baybehs!"
  150. >The babies in question squeak loudly from under their mother, in high-pitched, panicked voice.
  151. >"Mumma! Mumma Owies! Mumma Cwy!" They chirp. "Bwuce Bwuce Bwuce hewp Bwuce hewp!"
  152. >The Dog Munsta turns and stares at your all, and you whisper to your Stallions "Fwuffies nu wun. Fwuffies gun wawk back swowy..."
  153. >Everyone starts to shuffle back, not taking their eyes off the Dog Munsta, who is making the scariest face you've ever seen, his long, floppy lips pulled back to reveal long, sharp teeth as big as your legs, his eyes narrowed.
  154. >And the lowest, scariest noise you've ever heard coming from his throat, making everyone pee even as they back away.
  155. >He follows you ..... Fluffies are too frightened to run, so they just keep backing away as the Dog Munsta keeps pace with them, growling and baring his fangs, until you can't help yourself anymore.
  156. >You run. Pushing past your startled Stallions, shrieking "Fwuffy Mummas to bushes! Get Baybehs to bushes!"
  157. >It's pandemonium. Every Stallion is running in their own direction, and the Dog Munsta is so fast he can easily outrun every Fluffy, driving them towards the bushes, making even louder, scarier noises than before, so loud and scary they make your bones shake with the noise.
  158. >See one Stallion try to hide behind his hooves, dropping down on the grass and shouting "Nu can see munsta nu moar! Fwuffie is saf-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!", and the Dog-Munsta bowls him over, charging after you.
  159. >After you. Not the other Fluffies anymore, he's glaring at you, snarling furiously. So you do the Smarty Thing, and run to the nearest clump of Fluffies and try to hide amongst them.
  160. >Dog Munsta catches you, you feel a stinging pain on your bottom as the pile of Fluffies you tried to leap into scatters like leaves, and then you're flying up, up, up .....
  161. >And then the bushes are rushing up to grab you out of the sky!
  162.
  163. ************************************************************************************************************
  164.
  165. >For several minutes, the Saint Bernard rushes all over the back yard, growling furiously, smacking Fluffy Ponies with his heavy muzzle or accidentally kicking them with his thick, powerful legs as he tries to drive off the slow, shambling invaders into his territory, sending them shrieking and tumbling into the bushes, off of his Grass.
  166. >Away from his precious Silk. His only friend during the day.
  167. >"BOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!" He barks furiously as the wiggling, tail-less rear of the Pink Pegasus that is caught in the upper branches of one of the bigger bushes, whose scent fills him wih a deep, consuming feeling of rage and loathing.
  168. >The Pink Bastard shits himself, a fountain of crap that spews up into the air, then splatters down, showering himself and the bush in shit.
  169. >Disgusted, the Saint Bernard backed away, snorting to get the horrible stench out of his nose, then chase a pair of Fluffies who crept out to hurt his Silk again around the yard, stopping his chase only when he hears something new.
  170. >A tiny little voice, crying out for "Mumma!".
  171. >He looks down and sees a tiny little creature, no bigger than one of his toes, squirming on the grass, squeaking pitifully.
  172. >Smells like a Fluffy .... but it's a bitter scent also.
  173. >Sniff, sniff, sniff.
  174. >And it's making noises like Silk's babies did ....
  175. >The Saint Bernard whimpers in confusion, and then ever-so-gently take the baby into his mouth and rushs back to the porch.
  176. >Bad Fluffies must have stolen one of her precious pups!
  177. >She's going to be so happy with him for bringing it back!
  178.
  179. ************************************************************************************************************
  180.
  181. >Lying on your side, shaking with relief and stress, when Bruce comes back, lowers his head just in front of your belly, and drops something.
  182. >"N'aaaaawwww...." A baby Fluffy whimpers, sticky with Bruce's spit and ... yikky stuff.
  183. >The same yikky stuff you licked off your beautiful babies when they first came out....
  184. >Watched Bruce chase the Bad Fluffies away, then saw him stop in the middle of the yard ... did he find it?
  185. >"Nu, Bwuce, dat nu Siwks." You begin, before Bruce nudges the newborn, sending it tumbling to roll into your belly-fluff with a soft pofft noise.
  186. >Does he want you to take care of another Baby? But what about it's Mumma?
  187. >MY BAYBEHS! Yuu gif dem, o' Fwuffie kiww yuu! You hear the Meanie White Fluffy scream in your memories.
  188. >Stuuuupid Mawe! Mawe gif Guud Speshaw Huggies, o' Fwuffie make yuu haf Owies! You shudder as you feel the phantom weight of the Pink Pegasus on your back again.
  189. >Your babies are hugging the new-comer, seeking to give, as well as recieve, the only comfort they know: Hugs.
  190. >Bruce is looking at you with sad eyes, whining, worried he's done something wrong.
  191. >The new baby smells ... funny. Off somehow, and it makes you feel very strange, like there is something threatening to your Babies, not like the White Mare or the Pink Pegasus, but somthing that a dark part of your mind screams is wrong and must be driven away.
  192. >But then again, Bruce's breath always smells terrible. You shove the dark thoughts away. This baby needs you, it can't be a Bad Baby, Bruce would never bring you anything that could hurt you! He loves you!
  193. >"Is oh-tay." You whisper, reaching out your muzzle towards Bruce, who eagerly rubs noses with you, then flops down on the porch, forming a big, angry, hairy wall between you and the Bad Fluffies. "Siwk be Guud, gif nummies to Baybeh."
  194. >Guide the newborn to one of your teats with a gentle hoof, and feel the tickling sensation as it draws your milk out and into it's mouth.
  195. >Must have been very, very, very hungry, because it grabs hold of you and drinks and drinks and drinks. Your babies come up for cuddles, and you oblige, letting Bruce had sniffs of them and praising him loudly for protecting them from the bad Fluffies.
  196. >"Bwuce! Wuv Bwuce! Bwuce WOUD!" The Pink Foal cheers, then burps loudly, and Bruce's face crinkles into a smile.
  197. >Then the Newborn is bumping at your babies, whimpering.
  198. >Open your front legs just enough for him to squeeze in, and give him hugs between you and your two Foals.
  199. >The Newborn snuggles into your chest-fluff, shaking again, crying.
  200. >"Mumma, mumma." It whimpers, clutching your fluff desperately. It still smells terrible ..... but you can smell Bruce on it, and your babies, and even yourself.
  201. >..................................................................
  202. >"Mumma hewe." You whisper, nuzzling your new Baby's head. "Mumma hewe, baybeh."
  203.
  204. ************************************************************************************************************
  205.
  206. >Everything hurts. Face, legs, back, wings, but your bum hurts the most.
  207. >Especially your bum. And because your Sorry Poopies didn't do what they were supposed to, now you reek. Worst Smell-Not-Pretties ever! Possibly the only reason your Stallions didn't attack you the moment you managed to wriggle down out of the Ouchy Branches and Meanie Leaves.
  208. >Herd is waiting for you, angry, demanding to know where the Munsta came from.
  209. >Well, half the Herd.
  210. >Some ran away out the hole.
  211. >Mostly everyone couldn't remember exactly where it was.
  212. >Spat and bit and kicked until they remembered you were Smarty Friend.
  213. >Told them to be quiet, don't let the Munsta know they were still here.
  214. >And that if Fluffies could just get your Red Mare back, then the Munsta would be their Friend too.
  215. >They scoffed or laughed at that, but then when you all peered out from under the bushes, could see the Munsta laying next to your Red Mare, licking her face, making her laugh.
  216. >All the Stallions looked at you with awe on their faces.
  217. >"See! Am not Siwwy Fwuffie, am Smawty Fwiend!" You snapped at them as two of the Fluffy Mummas bawled and shuffled over, their newborns clinging to their backs. "If Hewd get Smawty Fwiend's Wed Mawe back, den Hewd haf Tame Munsta to pwotect dem!"
  218. >It is a good plan, they all agreed.
  219. >But you don't care.
  220. >You just want your Mare back, you want your Babies.
  221. >Everything else will be as it will be, but you are not leaving without them! You are the Smarty Friend, and that is YOUR MARE being all sweet with a Munsta!
