- - What is the difference between the expressions?
- In the first column, the stress is on the first syllable (of “person”, not “one person”)
- In the second column, there is stress on a later syllable.
- - in “his story” and “corrector” it’s on the second syllable
- - in “IV”, “two tours”, and “home sick”, both parts get equal stress
- (You’ll need to take the students to tours. - “to” is unstressed and “tours” is stressed.)

- With adjective+noun pairs, both words have (more or less) equal stress.
