- What is the difference between the expressions?
In the first column, the stress is on the first syllable (of “person”, not “one person”)
In the second column, there is stress on a later syllable.
	- in “his story” and “corrector” it’s on the second syllable
	- in “IV”, “two tours”, and “home sick”, both parts get equal stress
(You’ll need to take the students to tours. - “to” is unstressed and “tours” is stressed.)

Compound Nouns:

Two nouns together that mean one thing form a compound noun.
compound: I am an English teacher. = I am a teacher of the English language.
	In compound nouns, the first noun has the highest stress.
adj. + noun: I am not an English teacher. = I am not a teacher from England.
	With adjective+noun pairs, both words have (more or less) equal stress.
