  3. Hey everyone thanks for joining us, today we are going to be talking about the campus movement known as We Are the Core. As well as talking about humanity courses and its importance on students and their interactions with one another. I’m Marcos Lopez and I’m joined today by two great guests. Why don’t you guys introduce yourselves?

  13. I want to start today with We Are the Core, Marcos, you’ve done some research on this could you tell us what is or who are We Are the Core?

  18. So, what is the We Are the Core group trying to achieve?

  22. Do you guys have any criticisms about how We Are the Core handled their protesting? For me, it was the lack of an online presence. They were far more focused on in-person rallies and events but then they neglected their presence throughout the internet which in my opinion hurt their chances to gain supporters. Which would have made there whole campaign much more effective.

  26. What are we to expect now that the two laws have been passed? Are we going to have to just wait to see how this will change things or is anything that we may be looking at in the next couple of years?

  31. So, with the new laws threatening the closing of humanities courses I want to talk about the importance of those courses. Marcos? how do humanities courses affect students?

  35. Have you found any data on the effects of humanities that were cut from schools or the benefits of schools that enforce humanities classes?
