Introduction

Happy Adventure Fun Adventurer Company (HAFAC) is proud to present the first edition of our Happy Adventure Fun Survival Manual (HAF-SM)!  In this awesome book of awesomeness, we're going to teach you everything you need to know as an Adventurer.

Numbers!
--------

As an Adventurer, it's important you're able to brag to your fellow Adventurers about your heroics.  To make boasting even easier, HAFAC has come up with the Happy Adventure Fun Adventure Numbers (HAF-AN).  HAF-ANs are used to represent everything from how strong you are to how well you can perform brain surgery.

Awesome HAF-AN
**************

Your Awesome HAF-AN represents how awesome you've been adventuring recently.  Affected by things such as getting better at a skill or completing heroic quests, your Awesome HAF-AN shows how much easier every action is.

Lucky HAF-AN
************

Your Lucky HAF-AN represents how lucky you are right now.  It helps you skew the odds in your favor when trying to see if you succeed at an event.

Attribute HAF-ANs

Your Attribute HAF-ANs represent your basic traits.  You have nine Attribute HAF-ANs, three in physical, mental, and social.  Each is divided into three attributes each, one representing effectiveness, efficiency, and resistance.

    * **Strength** (*effective physical*) represents your raw physical strength - ability to move large items, force open doors, so on.
    * **Dexterity** (*efficient physical*)represents things like aiming a ranged weapon, writing calligraphy, and other fine motions such as dance.
    * **Constitution** (*resistant physical*) represents your ability to withstand diseases or swords stuck in you.
    * **Intelligence** (*effective mental*) represents your ability to comprehend new information.
    * **Wisdom** (*efficient mental*) represents all your accumulated knowledge.
    * **Wit** (*resistant mental*) is how well and quickly you can respond to unusual situations.
    * **Charisma** (*effective social*) is how well you can charm and woo people.
    * **Cunning** (*efficient social*) is how well you convince people of things they wouldn't normally believe.
    * **Willpower** (*resistant social*) defines how well you can resist being convinced or conned by people.

    Your Attribute HAF-ANs are measured on a 0-50 scale, 0 being Totally Lame and 50 being Heroic God of Awesome.
