- Firstly, the comment box's short character limitation cuts off most of the feedback, so I had to upload it here to Pastebin as raw text, which is difficult to read b/c it has no formatting. This gives the impression that you don’t care enough to even read the feedback which you are asking the customer to provide. It’s also counterproductive, and contradicts the purpose of having the box in the first place.
- Secondly, my “Communication Preferences: Notification settings” on my account page have my email address checked for all communications, yet I did not receive the notices about this support request via email (they did not end up in the Junk folder either), only text message. This is a major problem.
- Thirdly, it’s imperative for the chat window to have a way to save the conversation. It should provide options both during and after the chat to export and email the transcript, and it should also be automatically saved to your account permanently w/ these same options. It also needs to have text copying enabled, as it’s currently locked, so there is no way for any user to save any of the info in the chat for future reference, which makes it extremely difficult and frustrating as a customer.
- As a basic example, reps have provided case #s, links, how-to info, technical details, solutions, rates, plan comparisons, etc., but there is no way to save this info for reference. It’s completely absurd, unconventional, defeats the purpose of having computers and smart phones, and makes it seem like you don’t want to be held accountable for anything your customer service says, and don’t want customers to resolve issues. There can’t be other reasons for doing this, when no other web site does this. Every other site’s chat window allows you to save the conversation, and copy text. I submitted feedback about this to previous reps last year, yet no improvements have been made to the chat or website since then.
