- >"LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE"
- >You are in the Everfree forest to right a grievous wrong.
- >You have sworn, on your crown, to correct this injustice.
- >Behind you, faithful acolytes follow, chanting the mantra of your denomination.
- >You are none other than Candybutt.
- >A few days ago, you found out the dastardly truth about your aunt.
- >A few millennia ago, she had broken a stallion's heart.
- >But not just any stallion.
- >A human.
- >Mythical creatures known to be attracted only to virgin mares.
- >Too gentle to harm a parasprite.
- >With kind hearts that want only to help and heal.
- >And she broke his heart.
- >That simply cannot be.
- >As the princess of love, you must set this straight.
- >You are completely prepared.
- >Camping equipment, check!
- >Rations, check!
- >Battalion, check!
- >Hidden list of questions hidden in the frog of your hooves, check!
- >One of Celestia's journals you borrowed, check!
- >Although Celestia tried to persuade you not to go, you know in your heart that this was your chance to help love flourish once again.
- >And so you traversed the Everfree, with the hopes of seeing this mythical creature yourself.
- >During your travel, you often catch yourself wondering what this human would be like.
- >Of course you stop yourself to prevent creating an impossible, imaginary pony with your expectations.
- >But you still catch yourself wondering when the trek gets boring.
- >You bet he tells the funniest jokes, and bakes the best cakes.
- >And he's a real swell colt that can get along just nicely with Shining.
- >And he won't make fun of you being colty.
- >After manticores, mandrakes, and the occasional God of Chaos, you now understand what Celestia meant.
- >In front of you, is a large garden surrounding a small cabin.
- >The garden is filled with flowers of all kinds, sweet-peas, forget-me-nots, lilies, and lavenders just to name a few.
- >Striking through the garden, is a brick pathway laid by bricks that leads straight to the cabin's door.
- >It is a very surreal sight, to say the least.
- >Walking onto the pathway, is would be no lie to say that you have entered a different world.
- >The flowers around you almost feel like they are telling you to leave your troubles around you.
- >The closer you get to the cabin, the more you feel as if you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
- >That this is home, and inside is your father waiting for you with dinner prepared after a long day of frolicking in the sun.
- >A few of your acolytes have already strayed off the path, and have begun playing tag in garden, amongst the flowers.
- >Shining invited you to do the same, but you persevere, and push him towards the door.
- >Standing in front of the wooden door, you raise a hoof to knock.
- >But you hesitate.
- >What if he doesn't want visitors?
- >Of course he doesn't want visitors.
- >Why else would he move out to the middle of nowhere?
- >Maybe you should turn back before he comes out.
- >But you've come so far, are you just going to return empty handed?
- >You should just knock, he might turn out to be a great pony-human.
- >What if he hates ponies because Celestia broke his heart?
- >But what if he tells you to go away?
- >You should just leave, this was a bad idea.
- >"Cerberus! Are you playing in the garden? I swear to god if you crap in my garden again, I am going to press all three of your noses in it!"
- >Before you have a chance to react, the door swings inwards to reveal a tall, bipedal creature.
- >It looks like a Minotaur, but has more fingers, and instead of round hooves, its hooves are long and black.
- >Looking at you, its eyes open wide and it smiles at you.
- >Bending one of its legs, it drops to eye level with you before wrapping you in a hug.
- >You just stand there, stunned by the sudden turn of events.
- >You are still Princess Mi Amore Cadenza
- >And you are in your grand grand grand grand grand grand grandgrandgrandgrandgrand... uncle's cabin.
- >After grabbing you into a hug, the human invited you in to his cabin and sat you down on a cushion.
- >The cushion was made for a pony larger than you, but you were able to seat yourself comfortably.
- >As comfortably as possible, when facing an ancestor.
- >The human has since taken off what you thought to be long hooves.
- >To your embarrassment, you realized those were shoes.
- >Apparently, humans have small, fleshy nubs on their feet.
- >Good thing you haven't said anything yet.
- >The only ones talking are Shining and the human, which introduced himself as Anonymous.
- >The human turns to you.
- >"What brings you here today, Amore? Did you want to show me your coltfriend?"
- >Buck.
- >What do you say?
- >You look over to Shining for help, but he's giving you that bucking look.
- >He's having fun with this.
- >That's right! Your piece of paper.
- >Lifting your fore hoof, you check the piece of paper only to see it mostly covered in mud.
- >Buck buck buck.
- >Wait! You can still make out a few words.
- "Why don't... you... Celestia... get back together?"
- >You did it!
- >You said something to him.
- >Looking up at Anonymous, you see a very hurt look on his face.
- >Did you say something wrong?
- >"Amore, we've had this talk before.
- >"Sometimes, relationships just don't work out between two ponies.
- >"That's true for your Celestia and I, we bring out the worst in each other, and for the sake of everypony around us, it's just best if we stay away from each other."
- >The worst in each other?
- >What does he mean?
- >Wait.
- "How do you know my name?"
- >"What kind of father would I be to forget my daughter's name?"
- >That's not right.
- >Your father was no Human.
- >You would know if he was.
- >You mother was Mi Amore Caderea and your father was Gallant Heart.
- >There is no way someone this old was your father, unless...
- "Anonymous, what is your daughter's full name?"
- >"Well isn't somepony acting strange today?" he remarks amusedly before standing tall and pretending to read from an imaginary scroll.
- >"Your name, my dear, is Princess Mi Amore, firstborn of Princess Celestia and her Consort Anonymous, high regent of the Crystal Empire and all its denizens.
- >"Does that answer please you, your Excellency?" He says, bowing deeply as a courtier would in historical reenactments with a big goofy smile on his face.
- >You can feel the blood draining from your face.
- >Princess Mi Amore the First fell valiantly resisting Sombra to stall for the arrival of the princesses.
- >Legends say that she did not fall until the last of the young and elderly were safely away from the Empire.
- "Anonymous... I'm-"
- >You find your voice caught in your throat.
- >"Amore, is everything all right?"
- "I'm sorry, dad. I wanted to play a prank on you."
- >The human looks at you admonishingly and walks up to you.
- >"Really, I thought that you would have grew out of that habit by now," he chides, running his forehooves through your mane. "I guess fillies would always be fillies."
- >You feel your head tilting upwards to face Anonymous.
- >"I'm still glad that you came to see me, though it has been a while, but it is nice to see you safe and sound."
- >Anonymous leaves you and walks towards the hearth, where he has a kettle on the boil over a smoldering fire.
- >"Would you like some tea, Amore? I have your favorite."
- >What good can telling the truth do?
- >It's just a little white lie.
- >You're not hurting anybody.
- "Yes dad, I would love some."
