  1. Surrounded by the guardsmen, presumably undead but with no particular signs of such, the Necromancer stared out for no particular reason- perhaps contemplating, or simply giving himself a rest, a pause before next events would unfold upon Agartha. Only he knew what future awaited, and knowing that much, he must prepare himself. And yet...
  2.
  3. He hears a voice. Slowly turning, the masked face came to gaze upon the features of Wvelven, thoroughly inspecting him- only then he could see the display of something more than just a man, as the two hollow spaces where his eyes were supposed to be flared up with blue color instead, a burning cold fire - timid, small, but blazing nonetheless.
  4.
  5. "You?"
  6.
  7. He pondered. What exactly was he known for, or rather, what did he achieve in his life to claim the hand of his daughter? As much as the efforts to oppose the will of his daughter was futile, and not something he couldspare time for, at least he must be sure that he's worth her time.
  8.
  9. "And you are?"
  10.
  11. It sounded like he wasn't asking for name... rather, a question that gave the message of 'do you have the right for that?'. The pair of burning blues stared upon him, awaiting the answer.
  12.
  13. "For how long has it been going?"
  14. (Arthur Rowan)
  15.

  17. Koda Nine says, "Huh, I guess Yiranda must be busy."

  20. Un-wol watches with a bemused smirk.

  23. Hatsu's expression doesn't change, though his eyebrows involuntarily rose upward as the sight of the burning, blue eyes. They had been present within the sockets of the undead masses that had been given rise, and Hatsu was surprised to see something immediately similar in the hollowed out eyes of this mask. Had this man experimented on himself in a similar manner, or was this simply another point of evolution that had escaped his immediate grasp on? He could tell he was being critically studied, as it would be expected of any father, but it made it no less mind-rattling.
  24.
  25. The subtle question presented before him is answered with a small inclination of his head. Naturally, there wasn't much in the way that he would find worth bragging about, as he wasn't someone who lingered upon accomplishments of the past. That wasn't to say he did not have any, as he had done his fair share of work. "I am a simple man whohas a passion for knowledge. I intend on visiting the Grand Library in hopes of realizing my goals, but I also hunt down Spire Shards in my spare time. Just a few tidbits about me, really."
  26.
  27. "In regards to how long it's been going on, I'd wager at least six or so years. It's been difficult given our previous distance, but we've made it work. I'm a Wvelven, but my loyalties lie here. Being up-front with you is my intention, after all. Many people don't understand her, but I've taken the time to see past what was once her apathetic outlook on life. She's grown quite a bit, as have I."
  28.
  29. He's aware of Arthur's distaste of those that laid in the west, but this made it only that much more awkward. Unerringly, Hatsu maintains eye contact with the man before him, but there's a hint of wariness about him. After all, the small force of undead nearby do serve as a reminder to tread carefully.
  30.
  31. (Hatsu Wvelven)
  32.
  33. Wvelven?
  34.
  35. It's not visible behind the mask, but whatever is left from his humane form reflects a rise of his brow in surprise. These were known to be Jianghese, to even be rebels among those that betrayed Dawn in their Academy years... oh, he remembers it all so well. He's old enough to do so, thankfully.
  36.
  37. "Hm."
  38.
  39. The passions of Hatsu hardly impress him. Yet, it'd seem that there's at least a promise that this could end up as something... better. Perhaps once he's thoroughly educated, this could be more impressive. Still, the moment he revealed his name, the Undead guards are oddly stirred around Arthur - their weapons subtly rise, and their stares point upon Hatsu. One could figure out that he may be in trouble now, but--
  40.
  41. -- but Arthur raises his hand, and stifles a cackle. The guardsmen take it as a signal and lower their weapons. The stare of burning blues remain upon Hatsu, and finally he speaks.
  42.
  43. "Odd. I remember your people betraying me, attempting to kill me, and even imprisoning me with help of Ikkaku Ukitake…"
  44.
  45. "I remember how they demanded I would fight for them, or else they would kill my future wife. Ah... that cruelty in your blood. You probably had no idea, did you?"
  46.
  47. Still, he gives it a pause, and a sudden precise question pierces the air.
  48.
  49. "Is she happy with you?"
  50. (Arthur Rowan)
  51.
  52. OOC - Plook:
  53.
  54. OOC - ExplosiveArrow: nut
  55.
  56. OOC - LordZanero: I thought that said Explosive Nut l o l
  57.
  58. Oh, he's more than aware that the man- if one could even consider him as such, was not impressed. The silent judgement weighing itself upon Hatsu was apparent, but he doesn't shirk away from what he had arrived to do. There was some truth in the fact that he did not have the world to offer, but he had come a long way from someone without a single coin to his name, nor even the ability to utilize magic properly. A late-bloomer, for all intents and purposes, his fire had ignited some time ago, and his hunger for success only grew more defined. His accomplishments were several, but he would strive to accomplish a task that would truly be acknowledged, soon.
  59.
  60. The stirring of the guards nearby draw his gaze, and while he subtly tenses, he hesitates when Arthur raised his hand. The cackle that might have been disarming only causes Hatsu to gently frown, as it was grating enough to somehow make him even more nervous. The history between this man and those that came beforehim were enough to visibly surprise Hatsu, however.
  61.
  62. He knew that the families past with the Rowan's were certainly not healthy, but the cruelty and surprisingly inhumane methods Huangzhou used had surprised him. It took an outside look to realize how those in the west operated, and his time in Gehenna allowed him to acquire a glimpse at their true ways.
  63.
  64. They spoke of evil, yet they appeared to possess the greatest capacity for it. Their grand 'inquisition' felt nothing more than a typical settlement vying for power. Regardless, he focused on what he felt was more important, and he perks up considerably at the last inquiry. "I did not, no. But she is happy with me, and I enjoy keeping it that way. She's content with where she is in life, but I still want her to strive for more, however. Complacency is among the greatest of sins, and I know without a doubt she has the capacity to be even greater."
  65.
  66. Controversial words, but he was passionate about doing what was best for the one person he could relate and speak to openly. She was unlike the few he's come across in life that he could feel relaxed around, and she made it very easy to do so. It's only natural that he would desire for her to want to ascend even higher.
  67. (Hatsu Wvelven)
