Battle Over the Domain - Session 6

<DM>	*You all appear to float adrift on the back of what appears to be massive whale, easily 300 feet long, crusing along the surface. All around you is an ocean of water, stretching as far as the eye can see. The horizon is dominated by an inky blackness dotted with small specks of white. A large crest with what appears to be a series of valves and pearls can be seen towards the front and what appears to be a blowhole just past.*
<DM>	*You spy a bunch of Artifacts which had dropped from the bosses. An Ice Rod, Onyxscale Wrap, Refrigerating Robe, Nayru's Wisdom Robes, Fullmoon Cello, Agahnim's Grimore and the Magic Ring*

*	Darte checks on everyone. "Right.  Weird seeing you, black-cloaked fellow.  You got some agenda you're chasing after we should worry about?"
*	Sephiroth eyes Darte and responds: "I happen to be in the area."
*	Nigel eyes the Fullmoon Cello.
*	Darte blinks flatly. "... In the middle of Lord Jabu-Jabu's dream."
*	Sephiroth has a blank look on his face. "..."
<DM>	*Suddenly, the dream begins to rumble*
*	Sephiroth eyes the Magic Ring.
<Nigel>	"Whoa, what's going on?"
*	Darte rolls his eyes.  "Fine.  You at least seem to be against th-- uh.  Hmm."
*	Darte plucks up the Refrigerating Veil.
*	Sephiroth plucks the Magic Ring and Dartes for a nearby exit.
*	Nigel snags the Fullmoon Cello, wondering what weird thing it is.
<DM>	*Sephiroth, there is no apparent exit. In order to exit, you have to play the Ballad of the Windfish to teleport out*
<DM>	*The dream rumbles once more, this time for longer and more violently. What was once a night sky begun to lighten up as it was turning to day.*
*	Sephiroth pulls out his Thunder Drums and begins playing the Ballad of the Windfish.
*	Darte groans, and hookshots the ice cube Gyoro~n.  "Right, he's probably gonna be right pissed when he gets up.  Guess we'll find out what a vengeful deity looks like real soon.  We ready to bail?"
<Nigel>	"Huh, well then."
*	Nigel then realizes something.
<Nigel>	"... What about the corrupted memories?"
<DM>	*Sephiroth, a portal forms*
*	Sephiroth dartes through the portal.
<Darte>	"That's what I'm saying.  And we might not have time to stick around and fix 'em, if he's waking up."
<Nigel>	"Roger."
*	Darte fixes Nigel with a grim stare, then nods.  "You through first.  I'll bring the stone-chewer."
*	Nigel enters (exit?) through the opened portal.
*	Darte gives the dreamscape a last, pained look, kneeling down to pat the ground beneath him before jumping through the portal with Baegba in tow.
<DM>	*You all begin falling and falling... upwards*

<DM>	*You are all spat out in the middle of Zora's Fountain... where there is quite a commotion going on.*
<DM>	*You are at a great lake of water, spanning hundreds of feet in diameter, dominated by the gigantic presence of Jabu-Jabu swimming within. The water is crystal-clear - one can look all the way down to the bottom of the lake. Off to the side one can see the entrance to a large frozen cavern and at the bottom of the lake one can see a passageway.*
<Nigel>	"???"
<DM>	*Along the river and to the entrance into the cavern one can see a scene between five Zoras vs four Keaton and Thoughter riding on an Aquamentus*
<Nigel>	"!!!"
<DM>	*The Zoras seem to be holding their ground well; with a de-chained King Zora standing behind the Zoras and granting them power*
<DM>	[Thoughter] Bah! Eat this!
<DM>	*Thoughter sends a flurry of stardust down upon the Zoras; burning them and doing heavy damage to their magic Pools

*	Darte splashes down and blinks at the ensuing mess.  "... Thye're in the halls? Roiling tides, that ain't good. To the King!"
<DM>	[Zoras] Darte! You've come at the right time!
<DM>	[Zoras] Things were starting to get hairy down here!
<Darte>	"They might get hairier - literally, with all these Keaton around.  Let's kick 'em out!"
<DM>	*As the Zora called out to Darte, the Keaton looked in your direction. Also looking in your direction they gasp in shock as Jabu-Jabu begins to awaken*
<DM>	[???] Gah! Where's Stella and Merle?!?
*	Darte winces.  "... On second thought, maybe we should just retreat for now.  Lord Jabu-Jabu is not likely to be happy with us."
<DM>	*Thoughter looks over, shocked*
<Sephiroth>	"Forever lost to the Dream."
<DM>	[Thougher] Vanguard, Gaunthome, Retreat!
<DM>	[???] Yes your majesty!
*	Nigel looks around the area, confused as to what is going on.
<DM>	*The four Keaton jump aboard the Aquamentus before flying away from the scene!*
*	Darte growls as they beat a retreat, turning to the King.  "Your majesty, time to move.  They've poisoned our Lord against us, and we don't want to be here for it."
<DM>	*Zora King gazed over to Jabu-Jabu in horror*
*	Sephiroth flees to hide behind King Zora.
<DM>	[Zora King] Lord Jabu-Jabu! What have they done? Zora, everyone, get inside!
<DM>	*The Zoras dash to inside, followed by King Zora himself*
*	Sephiroth follows suit.
*	Nigel follows the rest.
*	Darte follows as well.
<DM>	*Jabu-Jabu finally awakens, with a tired gaze in his eyes. Feeling the effect of the memory hit home, Jabu-Jabu begins to quiver in panic. He doesn't appear to be hostile right now, but it appears the madness has had some effect on him*
<DM>	*Back into the cavern...*
<DM>	*You are in a great ornate cavern, lit up with natural light shining in from the north and torches planted on the walls. Directly ahead of you is a pedestal facing a pool of shallow water and a great waterfall with King Zora De Bon XVI sitting atop. To the east is a ramp leading up to the waterfall and to the south are passageways. Along the walls are great Zora tapestries and plaques depicting the Zora Sapphire.*
<DM>	[King Zora] Darte! Can you fill me in with what happened down there?
*	Darte shakes his head.  "Not sure.  Some of their forces went into Lord Jabu-Jabu's dreams, and then from the sights we saw, they changed his memories of us.  The visions I saw made us seem cruel captors, not reverent worshippers."
<DM>	[King Zora] Hmm... It appears that confirms our fear. They set up a three-pronged attack. An attack from the river to keep our forces occupied, an attack by drilling into the domain to keep Ruto occupied while they went in to put Jabu-Jabu out of commission.
<Darte>	"Sire... we can try to put Him right again, soon.  But only if we survive to do so.  If he takes his wrath out on you, maybe we can use that to our advantage, and place the Keatons right in his path, as well."
<DM>	[Zora King] That doesn't sound like a bad plan. We just need to draw Volga and his forces out while he floods the domain
<DM>	[Zora King] However, afterwards, be aware that Thoughter will quickly seize the oppoturnity to get into the domain and fortify his position there. While his part of the force is small, he is more than capable of fortifying his postion there as is.
<DM>	*Suddenly, a badly-wounded Zora fighter, clearly bleeding from his chest, swims up and rushes to King Zora.
<Darte>	"So we should also lay a trap in wait for him, then.  Where do you think he'll make his re-entrance?"
<DM>	[Zora] Your highness! Lance has been captured. Thoughter and Gaunthome descended upon his force out in the river and wrecked his force before flying over to Zora's Fountain! Whoever survived the attack has also been captured!
<DM>	[King Zora] Understood. He came in to attack through the fountain before Darte returned and Jabu-Jabu woke up before retreating.
<DM>	[King Zora] If Thoughter is ever to try and reenter without taking the waterfall, it will be through Zora's Fountain.
<Darte>	"Guess he was making sure they finished the job.  Now he has safe footing with Jabu-Jabu there, too.  Grr.  We can guard the entrances in from the Fountain, perhaps."
<DM>	[King Zora] It appears they too fear Jabu-Jabu right now. It seems as if he is not sure if his forces finished the job there.
<Darte>	"Hmm.  And if his attack wipes out Keaton forces instead of our own, it might be he'll assume the assault failed.  I propose we go all-in on that plan, sire, with a contingency force here in case he does make an entrance."
*	Darte looks to Nigel and Sephiroth for any input on the proposal.
*	Sephiroth pulls out a whiteboard and draws a blank on it before putting it away.
*	Nigel appears to have a blank expression on his face.
*	Nigel is now visibly confused.
<Sephiroth>	(brb, auto-follow for like ... 5 minutes)
<DM>	[King Zora] And shall we do.
<DM>	[King Zora] At the very least, we should be able to get rid of Volga this way as well.
<DM>	*King Zora points to one of the High Guards*
<DM>	[King Zora] Make sure Princess Ruto is ready for this.
<DM>	*The guard kneels over*
<DM>	[High Guard] Yes your majesty!
<DM>	*High Guard swims down*
<DM>	*King Zora turns to you all*
<DM>	[King Zora] And one last thing...
<Sephiroth>	(back)
<DM>	*King Zora waves a large ornate scepter around, healing everyone to full Hearts and healing off any negative bonuses.

<DM>	[King Zora] Now, let's carry out this plan. It will be tough drawing Thoughter directly there. We need a clear target to lure him over.
*	Darte looks King Zora over.  "We'll need something.... visible at any range."
<DM>	[King Zora] His men spoke about people called Stella and Merle? Do you know who they are?

*	Sephiroth suddenly feels a chill enter the room.
<Darte>	"From what I heard them call each other, that's the ones we killed in Lord Jabu-Jabu's dream... and the ones that caused his poisoning."
<Darte>	(It is a bit drafty in here.)
<DM>	[King Zora] If someone can make illusions, we may be able to use of them to draw him in.

<Darte>	"I can give him a feeling, or make sound.  But nothing visual."
<DM>	*King Zora looks over to Nigel and Sephiroth*
*	Sephiroth doesn't know the art of illusions.
<Nigel>	"I can only disguise someone as another of their species or make sound."
<Nigel>	"... Not sure why I know that..."
<DM>	*King Zora proceeds to reach down to the hole behind him to pull out... Fran?*
<DM>	[Fran] !!!
<Nigel>	"... Who is that."
<Darte>	(One who has been dropping eaves.)
<DM>	[King Zora] Maybe we can disguise him as one of the two. It appears Illusion of Disguise no longer needs you to be the same species in order for it to work..
<DM>	[Fran] I JUST WANT MY PIZZA
<DM>	*As you look at Fran, you can tell that he is a Kokiri right away*
<Nigel>	"What's a pizza?"
<DM>	[King Zora] Shall you try disguising Fran as Merle?
*	Darte ponders. "Think you can make him look like... hmm.  Size like that, it'd better be young princess Ruto?"
<DM>	[King Zora] Or young Ruto, that works.
<Darte>	"Oh.  Merle.  Hmmmmm."
<Darte>	"Just depends.  If it's bait for Lord Jabu, one of us is gonna be likely to incur his wrath."
*	Nigel attempts to use one point of magic to test disguise Fran as a Merle.

*	Sephiroth gets lost in thought...
<DM>	*You disguise the hapless Kokiri as... a kid-version of Merle wearing robes and armor which have somehow been resized to fit him.*
<Darte>	"Perfection."
<Nigel>	"Hrmm..."
<Darte>	"I almost want to pinch his cheeks.  Almost."
<DM>	[Fran] I did not sign up for this!
<Darte>	"Your majesty, you're thinking we send Fran down to re-convene with their troops and draw them to the right position?"
*	Darte shoots Fran a stern glare.
*	Sephiroth shoots Fran a stern glare.
*	Nigel just stands there dumbfounded.
<DM>	[King Zora] He will be bait for both Thoughter and Jabu-Jabu. Ruto should be drawing Volga out by now.
<Darte>	"Alright.  And where would you have us, sire?"
<DM>	[King Zora] Jabu-Jabu will be flooding the domain. The torrents he will produce will be quite forceful... but survivable for the Zoras if they brace themselves. They will be pushed out at the end. I suggest that, in case this fails, we leave us and Ruto standing by. Ruto will protect us from most of the torrents.
<DM>	[King Zora] As a bonus, Volga and his forces will be pouring in if the Zoras suddenly retreat; drawing them out.
<DM>	[King Zora] Any objections?
<Sephiroth>	So as long as I stick near you I should be fine from the torrents?
*	Nigel has no objections.
*	Darte shakes his head.  "I'll do what I can to make sure our company doesn't drown.  The lizalfos is quite the competent surfer, for one."
<DM>	[King Zora] As long as we remain near Ruto, we should be fine.
<Sephiroth>	...
*	Sephiroth ponders the fate of the baegbacube.
<DM>	[King Zora] Stick him in the hole he blew up behind me and cover it with earth.
<DM>	[King Zora] He won't drown there.
<Darte>	(The death, cryogenic preservation, and burial of Baegba)
*	Sephiroth tries to Longshot the Baegbacube to his position.

*	Sephiroth carries the Baegbacube over to the hole behind King Zora and proceeds to bury the Baegbacube.
<Nigel>	"Huh, neat."
*	Darte waves.  "Worst case, he bobs away on the tide and wakes up on a distant river shore."
<DM>	*Suddenly you see Princess Ruto scoot up to King Zora*
<DM>	[Ruto] It's about time to put the plan in action!
*	Sephiroth bows
<DM>	[King Zora] We've spent quite a while talking. Let's shove Fran out and catch Thoughter's attention.
<Sephiroth>	(10 minutes remaining)
<DM>	*Ruto grabs Fran and shoves him out, applying an Illusion of Sound onto him so he sounds like Merle*
<DM>	[Fran] o_o
*	Darte nods, bracing.  "Covered on the water-breathing front, cloaked one?"
<DM>	[Ruto] Everything's covered!
<DM>	*Ruto then darted back in and rose her shield upwards; collecting a large amount of water on it to form a large bubble before jumping in.*
<DM>	[Ruto] Quick, jump in!
<DM>	*King Zora waddled his way into the bubble*
*	Sephiroth dives into the bubble.
*	Nigel silently surfs over to the bubble.
<DM>	*Suddenly, you hear the roars of a dragon and a commotion from outside; showing that Thoughter had been tricked. Following that is a huge rumble and you hear a giant torrent of water rushing; quickly pushing into the domain*
<DM>	[Fran] AIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!
<DM>	*The torrent of water rushed in, plowing through the domain and picking up everything not attached to the wall... except the bubble you guys are in for some reason*
*	Darte looks at Ruto's bubble, then back at the doorway, and shakes his head.  "I'll wait it out out here.  's the least I can do after failing our Lord."
<Darte>	(welp)
<DM>	*You can see Fran caught in the torrent, screaming shortly before he splattered into a wall; followed by the large Aquamentus crashing through. Thoughter also followed, but not any of his Vanguard. However, Thoughter seems to be fine somehow*

*	Darte pulls himself upright, chugging a Super Rejuvenation Potion and grinning at the group.  "So, how's our Lord's wrath feel?"

<DM>	*In the commotion, you see that the Zoras are chasing Thoughter and the few soldiers who survived the torrent; firing blasts of water and arrows at them to get damage in before they could get away*

*	Darte drops the augmentation charge and opts to fire a chunk of Glacial Ice at Volga instead.
