- 2nd: Scientist
- - partnership with not!Spiderman as Mission Control
- - difficulty balancing heroism with suffered prejudice
- - takes place against the backdrop of superhuman registration: MC, not being superhuman, is not susceptible
- - over the next few arcs, the consequences of the nationalisation of superpowers become more obvious
- - Night Nurse coaching
- - black-suit Spiderman saga
- - ends with clock-tower, Gwen becoming Gwenom
- 3rd: Sorcerer
- - with science not working out to cure Gwen, turns to sorcery

- - for a while, happy with Gwen, both being monsters
- - Father wants him to come home, willing to accept him fully, secretly wants to use his blood to create monster army
- - MC refuses, but Gwenom takes him up on the offer; they split over differences in ethics, with MC coming to hate his monstrous urges but Gwen seeing hers as liberating
- - Gwen: "This is the best thing for me."
- - MC: "But it isn't for me."
- - Gwen: "I guess we're not good for each other."
- - MC: "But I love you."
- - Gwen: "Oh, sweetheart... sometimes, love just ain't enough."
- 4th: Soldier
- - after graduating high school, has to do compulsory military service in Lemuria
- - offered a commission and a desk-job, instead elects to take a combat position
- - Lemuria (sovereign state on the Crimean Peninsula) attacked by Russia to cement dominance over the Black Sea region: MC is on the front lines
- - holds off a Russian advance for five weeks with a small force and minimal casualties, both using hyper-intelligent tactics and use of his Hyde formula to conduct covert operations against key Russian personnel and logistics
- - is frozen in his bestial form by a Russian witch (Emma Frost art)
- 5th: Survivor
- - hangs out at the X-Mansion, reasoning that the training regimen that helps mutants control their power might also help him control his bestial side
- - abrasive relationship with Rogue: they've both lost a lover recently
- - while helping out with the X-men and trying to lead a life free from temptation/triggers, he falls under the sway of Madelyne Pryor, who claims to be able to help him control his impulses by 'taming' him
- - an adventure with the X-men ends him up in the Savage Land, where everyone loses their powers
- - this frees MC from the lycanthropy affecting his mind, and also allows intelligence to take the fore, where the others can no longer rely on their powers
- - it impresses on MC that he really is special and has something to contribute, and he doesn't have to have superpowers in order to be a hero
- - it also allows him to get closer to Rogue, who's torn between joy that her sealed powers allow her to get closer to others, and also feeling useless without them
- - when they leave the Savage Land, their powers return; MC rejects the lycanthropy, and finds that the barrier to his cure has all along been his unwillingness to give up the savagery and power of his werewolf form
- -- perhaps the lycanthropy is incurable after all, but is instead something that can be forced into dormancy with willpower/magic
- - with the new knowledge gained in the Savage Land, he's able to make himself immune to Rogue's power, allowing them to have a relationship
- [Floating]: Brood Whores
- - another alien crash
- - Earth's heroes go to investigate
- - when they don't return, MC assembles and leads an extraction team: the second-stringers are wary of his reputation/lineage, but his concern for the heroes seems genuine and shared by all
- - they too are captured by the Brood
- - the Brood has released a pathogen that makes everyone uncontrollably horny: even super-durable heroes are susceptible, as the pathogen registers as part of themselves
- - MC is initially affected like the others, and his tantric training under Freya enable him to 'keep up' with the physically more-able heroes in the giant fuckfest
- -- alternatively, his lycanthropy reasserts itself and he knots his way through Earth's hottest heroines
- --- Major Miracle (Ms/Captain Marvel) most notably
- - in any case, something happens that allows him to regain some self-control
- - he uses the sympathetic connections that everyone has forged via sexual contact as the vector for a spell that purges the Brood pathogen
- - snapped back to their senses, the heroes battle and defeat the Brood
- - afterwards everyone agrees never to mention what happened there
- - since the intent of the Brood was to breed super-powered hosts, the pathogen rendered everyone super-fertile during that period, and there may be further complications arising from this plotline
- - the Broodspawn gestate extremely quickly, and are birthed within a month
- - they mature at the same accelerated pace
- - !Luke Cage and !Jessica Jones, MC's host family in the US, have always wanted a child, but were unable to for a long time; post-Brood, !Jessica conceives, and they decide to keep the child and name her Fortis ("Strength")
- -- she notably bears genetic markers from people other than her parents: the Brood infection apparently allowed women to incorporate genetic material from multiple partners in order to provide the most potent offspring
- 6th: Salvor
- - MC graduates from college with trivial ease, and turns his attentions away from heroics and towards industry
- - he believes that punching out criminals and warlords is inefficient: he wants to ride a rising tide that lifts everyone together
- - he manages to secure contracts for unearthing, studying, and exploiting the proceeds of alien technology, and begins investigating the crashed alien flagship
- - the flagship has remained a cipher to the public for two decades. attempts to penetrate the hull have been difficult, and its interior is infested with defence drones that thankfully don't leave the ship's confines. worse, the interior is a puzzle-box of constantly-shifting bulkheads, traps, and other environmental hazards
- - MC realises that they've only scratched the surface of what the ship has to offer. he begins investigating crashed alien remnants around the world and even the nearby solar system
- - at the same time, he works closely with Night Nurse to develop medical nanotechnology inspired by, but not based on, alien tech: while researching the alien tech, he's concerned about becoming dependent on another culture's discoveries -- clearly, they lost to humanity, so in all their sophistication they must have been flawed
- - he clashes frequently with military and paramilitary superhero teams, who either want access to alien technology, access to his skills and services, or both: he tries hard to maintain a position of pure neutrality
- - he begins to suspect that the aliens came not as conquerors, but as refugees fleeing something worse: deciphering their records, he learns of something terrible that causes stars to go out
- - astronomy reports that stars are beginning to go out in the night sky...
- - strange happenings begin to occur, and mystical portents and omens all scream of impending danger
- - his father, the supervillain Lord Richter, beats him to the heart of the alien flagship, and reveals that General Beast and his Slayers were neither conquerors nor refugees, but scouts for the Star-Eater
- - he activates a device that grants him incredible power and knowledge, but also beckons the Star-Eater
- 7th: Scion
- - as the son of Richter and also one of the people most responsible for opening up the alien flagship, MC is reviled and condemned
- - rejected by the world, he joins his father to develop a plan to repel the Star-Eater
- - Richter believes that only a united humanity can stand against the Devourer, and co-opts MC to help him unify the world by any means necessary
