  19. Explain the following Words/Tags :
  20.
  21. RDM: Random Death Match: Random death matching means going around shooting anyone without a valid reason or anyone on sight, hence the words "death match. Example: US Army PVT Jeff gets his AR-15 out and starts to shoot every person in DB. RDM'ing would result in a warn if it's not severe. If it is sever then a kick/ban is needed.
  22.
  23. Metagaming: Metagaming is the transferring of RP information over an non-RP source. E.g LOOC, OOC etc. Example: NK puts over NK comms they are going to make a base raid. US Army PVT Jeff then sees that over radio and is already outside base waiting for them to attack. If caught metagaming, it could result in a warn depending on the admin.
  24.
  25. FearRP: FearRP is the concept that your person/character is not afraid to die. Example: US Army PVT Jeff is taken hostage with guns pointed at him and is told he will die if he moves. US Army PVT Jeff then moves on purpose with no sense for his life FearRP would result in a warn depending on the admin.
  26.
  27. FailRP: FailRP is the act of purposely acting differently to how you would act in a RP situation. Example: US Army PVT Jeff is running around bunny hopping then sitting on peoples heads. FailRP would result in a warn depending on the admin.
  28.
  29. PTL: Permission to Leave _____. PTL is normally requested over the radio when a soldier wants to leave the base. It can only be granted by WO+. However, if a WO+ is not online/afk, a DI/CSM can grant permission instead. A Sgt must always accompany any person(s) leaving the base. Example: [US] PTL +2 Patrol. Leaving the base without permission could end in a possible demotion and/or warnings.
  30.
  31. PTS: Permission to Speak. PTS is normally given when there is generally a lot of people in a close environment or when a commander wants dead silence so they can transmit their order clearly. Breaking PTS after told not to multiple times can result in a possible demotion and/or warnings.
  32.
  33. What support will players coming into the regiment be offered?(Forum content; guides/information/tutorials):
  34. The support I can offer is immense. I have training guides which can be used for trainee training but also for testing the basic training of the US Army. I study all of the US regiments information so if it comes to it, I know I can be correct in saying what would happen. I correlate all the information given so that you need to know the stuff that is taught to get into most regiments. This is so that they can develop their skills and increase their understanding of how MRP works but also how such things could occur in real life and what to do if they occur.
  35.
  36. Information about becoming a DI is found in the US Army Grounds. From there the DI will be supported in studying the roles/information/rules and just general knowledge of the US Army. I also speak to my DI's quite regularly and answer any queries they may have. And if they do something wrong, I tell them why they did it wrong and what they should do the next time. Also, I get my DI's to form a bond with the other players so that if they have any problems with anything, they can speak to the DI and then the DI will speak to me.
  37.
  38. Say if one of the players in the US Army wants to go into NS possibly, I could host a private training and teach him what he would need to know to get through the first half of the NS tryouts. This is so he has a good understanding of what he's getting himself into.
  39.
  40. How will you reward players in your regiment?:
  41.
  42. Here's the problem: I don’t like to give levels a lot, because ages ago you could gain 20 levels in 1 day; that’s 4 ranks.
  43.
  44. For the US Army, I would do a level system for Sgt- so that if they do good, they get 1 level. If Sgt+ they would get 1/2 merit(s) and once they have 5 merits, they would get 2 levels.
  45.
  46. If I see a potential officer, I may recommend them for promotion etc.
  47.
  48. Other rewards could just be getting them acknowledged by the Colonel or a General. Call them into the Colonel's office and say that their duty has been exceptional and keep up the good work. Thus making sure they have been noticed for their efforts. Telling them they did a good job and if they keep doing good they may get medals or such.
  49.
  50. Also trust. If the player keeps doing good, you will trust them more and then you can rely on them more to do stuff. You could rely on them to do trainings, patrols, etc. Commanding the lower ranked troops and get them involved in some officer meetings say, so they feel part of the chain of command.
  51.
  52. For the merit stuff, could do a google doc sheet and inform all officers that they need to update it whenever they give a merit/promote someone to Sgt.
  53.
  54.
  55. What are your plans to keeping the regiment active and interested?:
  56. Well tbf the US Army comes and goes with all the new trainees joining and players leaving for other regiments. However, for the rest of the people who want to stay US Army, they will get constant patrols, trainings, games/quizzes, team bonding exercises and mini-events/missions. All of these would keep the players stuck into the US Army.
  57.
  58.
  59. Why do you want to be Commander of this Regiment?:
  60. Frost leaving has left a vacuum between Colonel and Maj. Jack got promoted to Col whilst James who is inactive is still LTCol. Jack is constantly under pressure and needs a good 2ic who knows what they’re talking about. But also the fact that since I became a DI and took over DI’s, the training but also the knowledge of the trainees and US Army has gone up ALOT. If I became commander, I could do more things which’ll increase the knowledge of the US Army but also increase the RP aspect of the US Army and make the players act more professional.
  61.
  62.
  63. Why do you think you deserve this Rank over others?:
  64. Because from what you’ve saw with the guides/tutorials/information, I am well informed and study what I deem is necessary. With this rank, I can organise Officer trainings where they will know what they need to know and then can gain more experience thus making the US Army better.
  65.
  66.
  67. Describe yourself (Min. 3 paragraphs):
  68. I would describe myself as a funny honest guy who likes to have a good time, but when needed can be serious. Honesty is what I strive for the most. Being honest and telling the truth about something is better than lying about it. Even when Kacper says something that sounds stupid, I tell him it sounds stupid rather than just agree with him because of his rank.
  69.
  70. I am very motivated in what I do and if I get something wrong, I figure out why and it motivated me to do better next time. I enjoy teaching others what they may not know so they can get better knowledge and then pass it on to someone else. Due to my excellent general knowledge, my self confidence is great. This is because I have confidence in my knowledge and know what I’m talking about and know what people need. I like to think of myself as a natural leader since I make more choices on my own whereas someone may be dependant on another person's choices.
  71.
  72. Lastly, respect. I try to respect everyone (not minges) because why shouldn’t we? We are all here for the same reason and that’s to have fun whilst also serious rping. If you don’t respect your soldiers or just anyone, then why should they respect you.
  73.
  74.
  75.
  76. IC (In Character):
  77.
  78. Name: US DID CPT Brandon
  79.
  80. Your Previous Regiment: None
  81.
  82. Previous Rank: 1LT
  83.
  84. Describe yourself (min. 2 paragraphs): Hardworking honest individual who strives for success in every aspect of life. Likes to get things done thoroughly but also with a base standard. Knowledgeable about the US Army and every other regiments. Excellent communicator and can teach the knowledge that is needed to pass most things. Amazing discipline which can be shown within training's and be seen in his DI's.
  85.
  86. Which Operations you participated in (http://mesagaming.phy.sx/showthread.php?tid=990): ???
  87.
  88. Your characters story: British-born who moved to America at the age of 2 because of family. Had always been interested in the army since his grandfathers fought in both World Wars; both for the UK & America. At the age of 11 joined the scouts and advanced quickly to their highest rank.
  89.
  90. By the age of 16, he applied for the US Army, but had failed a test due to medical problems in which he was told he would have to wait 3 years to re-apply. At the age of 18, early in the morning, he woke up to be told to turn on the TV; to which he saw 2 planes go into the twin towers. This fuelled his motivation to get fitter to serve for the US Army and at the age of 19, he joined the US Army as a PVT, and quickly ranked up to CSM by the age of 23 because of his "exceptional military prowess and knowledge in and out of the field". He was also recommended into joining the USMC but denied it as he enjoyed being part of the US Army.
  91.
  92. He saw action in Iraq & Afghanistan, to which he gained the purple heart for jumping in-front of his Cpt to save his life from a Taliban ambush. He was luckily shot in the body armour and had only mild-bruising. The Cpt he saved, would later would go onto winning the MoH for saving 5 fellow US Army soldiers lives, when a suicide bomber ran into their path and was tackled down by him. Thus trading his life so that the other 5 could live.
  93.
  94. By the age of 34, he was already a 2LT progressing to be a 1LT. He gained his 1LT status when the war kicked off with NK and was deployed into Eastern Russia on the border of the NK, where he is currently serving in the FOB X-Ray, under General of the Army Kacper.
