Maw Descrip

A beautiful band, its majesty with few parallels, this ring's base is comprised of a strange and almost unheard of alloy of tyrium and arcanium. Around it is curved a purple, crystalline claw that looks to be carved from ice rather than any man or magi known gemstone. Rather than faceted, as many crystals might be, it is smoothly polished and light bounces off of it in a sickly, violent sheen.

Set into the loop is a pearl of deep blue, and to gaze into its depths is to gaze into a swirling, yawning void. To look too long is to stare into an abyss. Its color is broken by what was once a crack, a shear in the stone, now repaired and filled in with a purple material. The space around it warbles and warps, as if generating a tremendous amount of heat, yet the artifact is unnervingly chill to the touch.

There is no hiding it, no means of obfuscating the fact that this ring is simply wrong. With a mere gesture in the hands of a practiced riftmancer, it efficiently, ruthlessly parts the way and cuts the strands of reality.
