  1. Review of Switching Made Easy

  4.
  5. Cons:
  6.
  7. -Has no definitions, explanations, or even further reading for what switching even is, or any mention of the guide expecting the reader to know. Which this is especially egregious with a switching guide because its definition is *highly* subjective. A survey done revealed that there are SIX discernible types of switching, so what form of switching is the author talking about if they don't define what switching is in this guide?
  8. -Step one talks about meditating, but not explaining its purpose or that it is completely optional.
  9. -Step two doesn't even sound like a step, it just says that both parties need to be aware actually there. Shouldn't that be a prerequisite?
  10. -Specifies who should be doing what, but it leads to every sentence starting and sounding the same with each step past step one.
  11. -This may be a personal gripe, but perhaps step four should be part of its own troubleshooting section since it only comes into play *if* the person switching out experienced a panic response when trying to dissociate. Especially since this is the longest "step."
  12. -Actually, looking back on it, even all three disclaimers begin with the phrase, "Please be aware that," which is *really* repetitive from a purely grammatical standpoint.
  13. -"Host, when you can reliably dissociate well from your entire body," without explaining how to fully dissociate, just relax and immerse yourself in the mindscape, which may or may not lead to proper dissociation, nor does it state that this may take extended practice instead of getting it on your first try.
  14. -Sixth step also does not feel like part of the actual switching process, just what to keep in mind *after* switching.
  15.
  16. Pros:
  17.
  18. -Has a separate disclaimers section that is well-written and explained.
  19. -Has actual step-by-step methodology.
  20. -Encourages the tulpa to express their authentic self while fronting.
  21. -States that how switching operates in a system can widely vary and change.
  22. -Suggests evaluating the system's circumstances and the opinions of the entire system before deciding on major changes dependent on long-term switching.
  23.
  24.
  25. Verdict: Most, if not, all of my issues stem from the actual method. The disclaimers and mindset are good, but the steps themselves could use almost an entire revamp. Some steps are either troubleshooting, prerequisites, or flat-out unnecessary on *top* of them being vague. The only disclaimer about the methodology itself was that this is how the author system switches, which is fine, but there are no heads-ups about the guide intentionally being simple or lacking extensive detail like other guides. In short, the steps feel like they were designed as the author thought of them, thus they lack refinement and editing.
  26.
  27. Luckily, we share a server with the author system and can speak with them about these suggestions if they are willing to listen. This can be a useful guide, but its steps need work, so for now, I don't think it's suitable to be on Plural Libarium until it is refined.
  28.
  29. Update: When the author was presented with the feedback they asked for, they proceeded to request money in exchange for implementing these suggestions. This is literally the only system that has acted like this in this community in the face of feedback *they* requested. Yikes.
