  1. Strict Tribal Format Rules v3:

  3. -60+ cards main deck
  4. -6 card sideboard
  5. -Choose a creature type. The cards in your deck must be of that creature type or have that creature type in it’s text referring to it as a creature type, reminder text in parenthesis doesn’t count. (this includes noncreature cards).
  6. -No changelings
  7. -Cards involving non-your tribe like [[Victim of Night]] are legal in that tribe.
  8. -In the case of transform cards, on the front side is considered when checking for legality.
  9. -Card name or subtext doesn't count, example: [[Eldrazi Monument]] is not legal in eldrazi.
  10. -List of nonobvious tribes: Vehicles and creature types that only appear on tokens.
  11. -No elf, goblin, human, or soldier decks.

  13. -The following cards are banned: [[All is Dust]], [[Eye of Ugin]], [[Fauna Shaman]], [[Galerider Sliver]], [[Gideon, Ally of Zendikar]], [[Gilt-Leaf Archdruid]], [[Gravecrawler]], [[Kabira Evangel]], [[Kamahl, Fist of Krosa]], [[Master of Waves]], [[Metalworker]], [[Mother of Runes]], [[Muscle Sliver]], [[Rage Forger]], [[Riders of Gavony]], [[Steel Overseer]], [[Striking Sliver]], [[True-Name Nemesis]], and [[Virulent Sliver]].

  15. -The following cards are allowed in all decks: the 10 shock lands, the 10 fetch lands, lands that both come into play tapped AND cycle, the 10 scry lands from Theros Block, [[Adaptive Automaton]], [[Aether Hub]], [[Ashes of the Fallen]], [[Belbe’s Portal]], [[Brass Herald]], [[Doom Cannon]], [[Duplicant]], [[Evolving Wilds]], [[Herald’s Horn]], [[Metallic Mimic]], [[Mutavault]], [[Mirror of the Forebears]], [[Obelisk of Urd]], [[Pillar of Origins]], [[Riptide Replicator]], [[Tectonic Edge]], [[Terramorphic Expanse]], [[Unclaimed Territory]], [[Urza’s Incubator]], [[Vanquisher’s Banner]], [[Volrath’s Laboratory]], and the basic lands and their snow covered counterparts.

  17. (Minor version updates (2 -> 2.1 -> 2.2 etc.) will only denote minor syntax changes. Major version updates (2.0 -> 3.0 -> 4.0 etc.) will denote card legality changes.)
