- Round 1- Ame
- decent stat post, some links didn’t work, and Miles’s main striking feat being being a shared punch seems like a poor choice.
- Love a good breakdown and the direct comparisons being made.
- Miles is a menace
- Invisibility
- Spider sense
- Brawler
- Willpower + fucking awesome suit
- Ok so my takeaways are that Miles will bring the fight away from Jim, his VIP. So the focus is Miles vs Love. I think Miles mobility, senses and invisibility means that he will engage on his terms and set the pace for engagement.
- Currently miles also seems to have a number of viable win cons. Strong opener from Ame.
- Round 1 - Ridtom
- Love has a bunch of powers
- Love is a skilled detective
- Love has a rage inducing/stunning scream
- Love has a 10ft range on her slashes.
- What I’m noticing is a lack of definition with these statements, no real explicit range on the scream, no focus on the slashing capabilities of the claws.
- proximity mine link didn’t work.
- Love is agile and fast
- Love is a competent fighter
- Counters defence - would be good to have some explicit reference for Loves energy claws here, drawing the parallels with the endbringer shells etc.
- Counters offence
- reading these links, and whilst Love is fighting characters stronger than her here, as far as I can tell she’s not taking hits and the parallels are flimsy- miles isn’t a big mech, a giant dog, etc.
- I do somewhat buy that love lost might be able to resist electricity, at least her tinker upgrades, but maybe not her physical self?
- I buy she can cut the webs, but if both hands are incapacitated, this is an issue.
- Counters passive
- this emotion sensing is pretty vague also, I don’t think it hard counters invisibility but probably warns her of miles approach.
- spider sense, it’s explicitly a Tranq gun? This speculation isn’t accomplishing anything in terms of the argument.
- CQC is kind of handwaved, but no parallels are drawn, has Love fought a character comparably skilled/strong/fast as miles? How’d that go? Be specific
- Emotional
- I think there’s enough structurally here for miles to retain his mobility.
- I think Love can sense Miles approach, but I’m not sold on this being specific enough for it to deny Miles a free hit. Also how long do the electric wires/engine blocks take to set up?
- I think the rage scream could make miles angry, I don’t see this as a good thing. As argued Jim is going to hide on the other side of the map and won’t be affected by this ability.
- I so far buy that Miles’s echolocation won’t immediately tell him where Love is. But I also don’t think Love will be able to pinpoint Jim.
- I think Love running around the map at 100mph is also something miles will notice.
- I also still don’t know how long it takes for Love to generate these traps she is supposedly haemorrhaging
- Loves data mask feat involves her removing the mask mid combat?
- Lmao I don’t think Owen reads a lot of marvel comics, sorry
- _____
- Alright, currently Jim hides on one side of the map, Miles moves to engage with the lady running around at 100mph carrying her VIP with her. Miles engages whilst invisible, and although Love knows her enemy is approaching, either her or Owen get hit.
- Not enough comparisons are drawn between love’s claws and miles armour for me to think they’re a significant threat, likewise I don’t think Love can take many hits from Miles, and would likely be downed by a venom strike.
- I see no advantage to love bringing Owen into the fray, and if the rage scream is used then Chris Pratt will try and brawl miles too… which seems like a mistake.
- ____
- Round 2 - Ame
- great opener
- Great takedown of Loves durability
- Great assertion of webbing
- I largely agree with these points, getting web off of your face with 10ft claws seems difficult, and I definitely need Rid to quantify the electrical factors of Loves offence to entertain this durability/viability to get rid of the webbing.
- miles engages in CQC and lands the first hit.
- Defence
- pretty sold on Miles having a level of resistance to emotion manipulation
- Pretty sold on Loves claws not cutting the mustard… the Miles
- Electricity
- Detection
- yeah Miles’s scent tracing sures this up, and I still have doubts regarding Loves senses.
- I think Miles has a better chance of tracking down Love and Owen than vice versa.
- Invisibility
- yeah pretty much agree with this, invisibility isn’t hard overcome by senses, probably not setting off motion detecting mines
- Spider sense
- is good
- Misc
- miles is fast, can still traverse the arena quickly
- Meta knowledge not good
- Conclusion
- Miles wins etc etc.
- Solid rebuttal from Ame, I think more could’ve been attacked and dissected but I find myself agreeing with a lot of what’s said here.
- ____
- Round 2 - Ridtom
- love fights strong characters
- Miles can’t take a hit from love
- still don’t buy the electrical stuff, she is actively worried about being ‘zapped’ here.
- I buy Love could maybe avoid getting webbed up
- But that’s not a heavy factor for me
- I don’t think the mutant dogs draw as favourable a parallel as is intended
- Defence
- the scream may make Miles angry, I still don’t see the benefit in this
- I’m going to fast forward a little as there’s a lot of wordiness here that is tangling itself.
- a lot of these worm feats are vague as hell
- I buy Loves emotion sensing giving her a proximity warning, but still think Miles draws first blood.
- I don’t think the mines will trigger in response to invisible beings
- I think Miles’s speed and senses are strong and not OOT. And are better than Loves
- ____
- Verdict
- Ame/Miles Wins.
- Love is being argued to carry Owen across the map in an effort to engage Jim and take him out. Miles is argued to go after Love.
- What I buy is the following
- Miles finds love first.
- Miles’s invisibility, agility, and speed have him land the first blow
- As Owen is with love, this could hit Owen granting victory
- I don’t think Love can take a hit, or recover fast enough to hold up in melee against miles.
- A rage inducing scream is a detriment, angry spider-men are terrifying
- Jim is chilling on the other side of the map and missing Batman.
