How does your OC, or OCs, view material wealth? Is it a mark of success? A means to an end? The pursuit a necessary evil? Do they strive for it or just accept what comes their way?


How does your OC react to a serious fight that they're losing? How does their mood change? Do they tend to change their tactics or do they stick with what they know?


What is your OC's primary drive? Their ambition? What motivates them towards their ultimate goal?


What makes up your OC's daily routine? Do they have any habits or tasks that must be carried out?


Does your OC have any embarrassing hobbies or quirks? Any activity they view as abnormal or think others would do so?


What does your OC look for when it comes time to settle in for the night? Do they rent a room, make camp somewhere nearby? Do they prefer certain accommodations to others? Do they require anything in particular?

Is your OC a leader or a follower? Do they prefer to take the field or sit on the sidelines? Do they enjoy this role or have circumstances thrust it upon them? Why do they take the role they do?

When things are very quiet and vacant, does your OC get restless? Or do they favor solitude and silence?


What is your character's greatest flaw they are aware of? What is the aspect of their personality that they wish to overcome or rise above? What is some trait they are working on?

Is your OC more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?


What is the highest compliment or bit of praise your OC has received so far? What is the highest compliment or praise they could receive in their opinion?


Has your OC, or OCs, ever become disillusioned with former heroes or idols? If so, why and what were the circumstances?

Does your OC have a specific verbal tic or gesture? Do they fidget when nervous? Have a tell when they're being less than truthful?


Most OCs have dealt with harrowing escapes, frightening battles, and more emotional and mental trauma than an anonymous image board. But what is the most mundane yet greatest trial they've faced?


Does your character enjoy interacting with large groups of people? Or are they uncomfortable with the idea of so many folk around? Do they prefer knowing a large number of people or keeping a close tight group of friends?


What would your OC do in a situation where they've been climbing and gotten their leg stuck? They're alone and help is possibly days away.


How does your character respond to other people in distress? How do they comfort somebody who is grieving or has just suffered some form of trauma?


For those characters with a focus on combat or who find themselves often in combat situations how do they spend their first few seconds, or minutes, of an encounter? What goes through their mind when a fight breaks out?


How does your character start their day? Are they a late sleeper, early riser? Do they have any morning rituals? What is the first thing they do upon waking?


What is your character, or characters, greatest fear? This can be as simple as a single word or as complex as a scenario or event they dread.


It's kind of awkward - what subjects are likely to make your character hesitate, flush, stumble on their words, etc.?

Is it easy for this character to tell someone "no" when they don't want to do something?

What is guaranteed to make this character smile?

How does your character text? Do they use both thumbs or do they use one finger? Do they make a lot of typos, and if so, do they correct them?

What is your character’s favourite type of weather?

How much does your character swear (and is there a reason for their amount of swearing)?

Your character passes someone they used to hate, but hasn’t spoken to in a while. How do they respond?

Does your character think before they speak, or are they the type of person to say “I brush my teeth every day and they’re STILL not straight” without thinking?


If they were to be represented by a seven deadly sin, which would it be?


When your character is sad, what do they do to cheer themselves up?


Is your character usually aware of what’s going on in the world? And in the world around them?

What is the first article of clothing that your OC takes off when they go home? (Such as shoes, jacket, hat, etc.)


What’s your OC’s response to being asked for money by a homeless person?


Does your character remember names or faces easier?


In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?


In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?


Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?
