Krakoa - Rank 9 in the House of X's leadership, a colossal mutant that is a living island. Originally a pacific islander that was exploring the seas, and had no unusual traits to him except his bright green, glowing eyes, he eventually was severely wounded by an attack by another group of islanders, and ended up crashing onto the surface of an island in the middle of the pacific covered in life and growth, bleeding out from his injuries. It was then that his mutation activated itself and made clear what exactly it did - it fused the dead islander, mind and body, with the island, expanding until the entire island and all life on it was part of a hivemind network with the islander at the center - Krakoa. For years did he remain as this colossal creature, casually sitting in the middle of the ocean, at peace due to a combination of his mind being altered by the hivemind it entered, and him assuming that this was the afterlife - becoming one with the earth. However, it was during world war 2 did he get a rude interruption, and realize how big this world had become, when a number of Japanese ships set down on the island in the pacific war. This angered him, and so he lashed out at the ships, only one of them managing to escape, and leading them to the whole fleet it was a part of. He destroyed the entire fleet, offended by these metal hulks which profaned the sacred waters of his home, and came to consider humans dangerous as he saw more and more of the war. From that point on, he became a moving island, destroying any ship he came across in the ocean and integrating the life onboard into his island, creating a small army of sorts.

Eventually, he was telepathically contacted by Cassandra Nova, who he originally wanted to attack, before she used her telepathy to beam her memories into his mind, revealing her plan and what she had discovered in the Astral Plane, and instantly decided to serve her, becoming the walking juggernaut of the House of X - a kaiju-sized monstrosity able to attack anything with immense force and shrug off even missile blasts.  Despite being a colossal hivemind, Krakoa is not particular intelligent, and even millennia later still ha the general sensibilities of a pacific islander, being superstitious and afraid of foreign concepts, especially technology. He despises humankind and believes they are ruining the world, and that they need a great disaster to set them srtraight, or else be exterminated. However, he mostly just serves as the HOX's brute, hardly doing anything other than walking the ocean except when something needs to be punched up and crushed. He does not speak in a human tongue, so his personality is impossible to discern, overall, he is largely a giant monster first and foremost. He appears as a towering humanoid entity made of stone, dirt, and foliage, with a massive fangy maw created from jagged stones, as well as a giant tree on his back that rises upwards behind his head. His eyes are massive, glowing red pits of rock, pulsating with magma.
