Greetings Everyone,

Communication has been brought up quite a bit on these boards in recent
times. It's a subject I feel is truly important and I'm glad that
there's been much of it on these boards lately. One specific area where
I feel there's been a lack of communication is when it comes to our
House Vizier. The role of a House appointed Vizier is to represent the
voice of the House in the Council of Light. While the House has
different people with a range of different opinions it is important for
our Vizier to find out those opinions and voice them respectfully in the
Council. Despite this, there has been an utter lack of communication
between the House and its Vizier and this to me is unacceptable.


Any of the information on policies, thoughts, opinions, and so on that I
learned of being discussed on the Council of Light were relayed to me
from those who aren't even members of the House. Some who provided me
with information on what's going on in the Council aren't even citizens
of Shallam. The point is there has been zero interaction between Jovaras
and the House. I have absolutely no idea what kind of work is being done
on the Council right now. I have no clue what opinions are being
represented on behalf of Crystalline. I don't know what personal
projects or issues that were being worked on by Jovaras. I as a House
secretary have expressed my concern to our Vizier that I don't know
what's being accomplished or worked on in the Council. Our Houseleader
himself has told me he requested for information to be shared from our
Vizier to the House. There has been an ample amount of years for at
least three, two, or even one report to be presented to the House or at
the very least Stellae. Even with this, there has been absolutely no
efforts made by our Vizier to communicate the city's agenda or his with
the House.

A Vizier that's appointed by the House has been entrusted to serve the
House. Our previous Vizier Auralys did a superb job and ensuring that
the views of the House were expressed. When a decision had to be made
about the Caliphate despite having a different view, she cast her vote
and voiced an opinion that reflected that of the House's. When agendas
that were presented that would be harmful to the House she stood firm
and against them. During her service she reached out to House's members
asking what they felt needed to be worked on and presented ideas to us
all. This is how a -House- Vizier should serve with dedication and
loyalty to the House.

The job of a House appointed Vizier is -not- one in which one trusted by
the House serves themselves and their own desires. The decisions and
opinions expressed on the Council of Light should not merely be the
Vizier's own but also the opinions and views of the House. This has not
been the case with Jovaras as such I find him unfitting for the job
despite the excuses presented. It is my hope that his replacement will
remember the true role of a House appointed Vizier. I encourage those
with any views on this matter to voice their concerns, questions, or
thoughts.
