[20:52] Zachary Retinea says, "Y'know, I find it quite suspicious you walk freely in these streets. Unless I'm the only one who knows your true identity."

[20:53] Vasilios Quinn says, "I'm wearing literally all black, with an ominous cape and an Assassin's dagger."

[21:00] Vasilios Quinn says, "By myself, I took on five of your knights. It took two of you, you and Solon to even get close to besting me."
[21:00] Zachary Retinea says, "Nowadays I wonder if it would be just me."
[21:00] Vasilios Quinn says, "I would love to prove you wrong."
[21:01] Zachary Retinea says, "And I would love to make Solon's memory proud, but it was the Knights who let him die."
[21:01] Zachary Retinea asks, "So why bother?"
[21:05] There's a metallic clinking from his left arm; Vasilios taking his time to undo the black glove that covers the hand to expose a complex mechanism in his hand. His revolver's cylinder was built into his hand, and the barrel was his pointer finger. A crystal of his own blood was already brimming at the end.

"Apathy is death, Zachary Retinea. You will fight a losing battle and let your friends die if you do not take the chance I give you. But you're right, in the end you will either succumb to your own apathy, or fall even further into the Darkness."

Blood flows between the plates of his armor, forming a thin layer of gore around his skin and chest plate. His sword ignites with it; forming a violent blade of blood, not unlike a hydrocutter.

"Do nothing, and let the tyranny of Osrona bring death to everyone, or stand up and fight it like a man. Those are your only two options in this life. Will you die on your knees, or die standing?"

[21:09] Jaleppi the little Moonfaller was just watching and it was clear which side her thoughts swung. After all Elders of the village were wise and strong. Surely Cornelia's death was a fluke if anything else.

[21:16] The hierarchy of Osrona danced to their classical music in their shallow abodes without a care each night in this world. Unwary of the dangers in this life that the darkened knight himself had to fight against to keep them all safe. How many more times would he step into the face of adversity before he never returned home?

"Fighting for a cause is all I've taught my students. Without that apathy they would surely swiftly perish, isn't that right?"

Once more his sword came up to brandish at Vasilios. The air around him had begun to radiate that familiar blue light and plumed into existence.

"It's easy to succumb to darkness when you have the void of what once was creeping over you like the eyes of the reaper. Caritas once told me under those same eyes that either way we all die alone, but I told her that the reaper is there to guide us past death. I wonder what you believe to be true."

In that moment the pluming energy surrounding Zachary erupted into an inferno and siphoned the mana from the air. Behind him formed a dense mass of stored energy and stuck to his person.

"Show me the resolve you have been fighting with so dearly, Raven. Show me why."

[21:34] Zachary's blows were fierce, but lacked in intent to kill. Vasilos's judgement was correct. The darkened knight lost apathy, but also lost hope.

Together they clashed, but the sheer blitz of their bloody assault had Zachary back at Raven's whim. The sight of those same bloody tattoos he had given Grella struck his memory, or were they different?

Once more he would stand. The masses of energy condensing around his person to stifle the bleeding. He would fight one without a cause!

[21:41] It was another instance in which the young Kitsune could make use of her most trained of skills. Not the art of dancing nor the arts of elemental manipulations she trained. No it was her skill with hiding from the view of others. In this instance it was more in need than ever before.

Before her very eyes was a conflict of an Elder of Moonfall. Not one that she personally knew thought she'd seen his face. Against a Knight of Osrona, this one she knew well at this point. Considering his having nearly arrested them previously and the interactions that followed.

Now though she was just wanting to know what was going on. That is why as the two started to speak of the philopshies that guided them. Well it was starting to become clear that violence would begin in earnest. They'd realized after Zachary spotted them that they would be better to stay out of the way of the fighting.

That's why rather than stand out in the open gawking like an onlooker she'd quickly shuffle into the foliage nearby. Hiding from sight and taking the chance to watch the deadly combat taking place before her very eyes.

[21:53] What does he know of fury?

When his rage had consumed him, Vasilios had won. For he himself fed on the anger of others, and their miscalculations. The blind fury that he brought down on him was matched and surpassed by his own hate.

A hate that boiled in his veins for so long, one that was twisted by the powers of occultism. The red on the lines of his skin burned even hotter, his veins cried out for his very blood. A lust for battle and power that overwhelmed him and pushed beyond his usual limits.

Strikes were augmented with incredible power, the blood on his body and on his blade grew jagged and violent. With a strike to his shoulder, his metallic hand gripped onto his neck. Crushing down to block the circulation of blood to his brain.

He would not die, but consciousness would fade from him soon. The mask was discarded, and a sinister smile crawled across his face. Maybe for the first time he had everseen, Vasilios was enjoying the battle.

"Do you wish to know why I fight? Why I continue to do so even after all of this pain has accumulated within me?"

He brings him closer, whispering in his ear before crushing down hard enough to knock him out, and to take him to places unknown.

[21:53] Vasilios Quinn whispers something.
[21:59] His anger led him to battle once more, but Zachary never learned from his past just how much it had costed him before.

His power was great in itself, but the mentality of a beast is only that. Captured in the snare of Vasilios's hand, his neck and very life could be forfeit now. His hand went to their wrist to jar it as the words began to flow from them like a prophecy of wickedness.

He ceased his struggling and the glowing blue eye from behind his visor cut off and he closed his eyes. Crushed to the point of asphyxiations, Zachary would hear their remaining whisper and be taken unconscious.
