  2. 120 g soft butter (Halfcup / 1 stick)
  3. 1 cup caster sugar
  4. 2 egg
  5. 1 1/2 cup self-raising flour (1 cup floaur, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 & 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  6. 1/4 cup milk

  8. Using an electric beater, mix softened butter and caster sugar.
  9. Add eggs to the mix one at a time.
  10. Add self-raising flour.
  11. Add the milk and mix well.
  12. Pour mixture into a square, greased and lined cake tin.
  13. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180C.

  18. 1/4 cup whole milk
  19. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  20. 2 cups confectioners' sugar

  22. Combine milk and vanilla in a medium saucepan and heat over low heat until warm.
  23. Sift confectioners' sugar into milk mixture. Whisk slowly, until well combined.
  24. Remove the glaze from the heat and let cool a bit before pouring on to cake
  25. Let glaze cool for 5 minutes before serving.
