- 120 g soft butter (Halfcup / 1 stick)
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 egg
- 1 1/2 cup self-raising flour (1 cup floaur, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 & 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- Using an electric beater, mix softened butter and caster sugar.
- Add eggs to the mix one at a time.
- Add self-raising flour.
- Add the milk and mix well.
- Pour mixture into a square, greased and lined cake tin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180C.

- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- Combine milk and vanilla in a medium saucepan and heat over low heat until warm.
- Sift confectioners' sugar into milk mixture. Whisk slowly, until well combined.
- Remove the glaze from the heat and let cool a bit before pouring on to cake
- Let glaze cool for 5 minutes before serving.
