  1. So the goal of this weekend was to get any wins I needed on Brier or Beauregard, and then move on to either Sartyr or Dimitri. I have all the wins I need on the first two, so I only focused on the latter.
  2.
  3. The fastest way to find someone is to click on the Dorm Icon; Sartyr is there a lot of the time. If neither Sartyr or Dimitri are there, then I start looking around everywhere for Dimitri; he can be literally anywhere, even Slifer Red Dorm for whatever reason.
  4.
  5. The first 2 duels with Sartyr go by pretty fast; at night he's not at the Dorm, so I search and duel Dimitri.
  6.
  7. 3rd Duel
  8. - I don't know why, but as I'm playing, I somehow believe I have Limiter Removal. Even though it's clearly not there... plain as day lmfao. My play was awkward, but I top Stein for the win.
  9.
  10. 4th Duel goes by fast.
  11.
  12. 5th Duel
  13. - At around 9:00, you see Dimitri use Ring of Destruction in the Battle Phase. What's interesting is that he didn't attack directly with his other monster... it's something to look into, in that the AI missed a chance to attack. Nothing much else to say though
  14.
  15. 6th Duel goes by fast as well, so then on Monday, the 2nd Brier & Beauregard event happens.
  16.
  17. Event
  18. - This will happen soon after the 1st event at Duel Arena. You go through an automatic prompt with Beauregard, it's not counted as a real win (same situation with Syrus, when you went through a prompt to unlock Zane: that wasn't counted as well.). Then you're forced to duel Brier; this was my 10th win on him. Quick tip: Holding R makes this go way, way faster.
  19. - Doing this event leads to an event with Dimitri a bit later.
  20.
  21. Overall, the duels went pretty smooth. So the last thing I wanted to do was the Duel Exam... I was hoping this video would be below 25 mins long... but me being a dumbass wouldn't allow that lmao
  22.
  23. Exam
  24. - I mess up the Written Portion a couple times lol, but you need to have all of them correct to become King of Games in a decent time, so I just reset until I get em all right.
  25. - So the theme for the Practical Exam was Rituals, so you need to make an entirely separate deck. Here are my notes on the Ritual Exam:
  26.
  27. Deck #5: RITUALS
  28. Monsters: 19
  29. 1 Magician of Faith
  30. 3 Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
  31. 3 Mystic Tomato
  32. 3 Nimble Momonga
  33. 3 Paladin of White Dragon
  34. 2 Relinquished
  35. 1 Sangan
  36. 2 Senju of the Ten Thousand Hands
  37. 1 Sonic Bird
  38. Spells: 16
  39. 2 Black Illusion Ritual
  40. 1 Monster Reincarnation
  41. 2 Upstart Goblin
  42. 3 White Dragon Ritual
  43. 8 staples (No Nobleman)
  44. Traps: 5
  45. 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device
  46. 4 staples
  47.
  48. Paladin and Relinquished are the easiest Rituals to use by far. Being so low leveled, all you have to do is make sure you put their respective pieces together, which makes Manju the most important card to draw. You run 2 Senju and the Sonic Bird to ensure this as well; more copies of either card is kinda clumpy. Wait to use these specific Ritual search cards until you naturally draw a ritual card. For example, if you open Manju, and no Ritual cards, then don’t summon that Manju until you draw into one. You want to ensure a Ritual summon on the turn you use the search cards.
  49. Reincarnation is really helpful in getting back specific cards you need; obviously a Premature may not be exactly what you want in certain situations. Upstart is there since you can't have a small enough deck running a strategy like this. Compulsory can reuse Manju and the other ritual searchers.
  50.
  51. - IMO my deck looks pretty decent, but in general, running 5 Ritual monsters, and 5 Ritual spells leads to clumpy hands. So you can easily open dead... I found that running only 3 of a Ritual monster is too little, so that's why I run the Relinquished alongside the Paladin.
  52.
  53. Rundown of the Exam Duel
  54. - (23:06) Given that I opened Mystic & Torrential, the best play was to wait a couple turns, then use Torrential when I can summon a Sangan off of Tomato's summon, thereby clearing the field, and adding a Manju to my hand. I even have a Compulsory, to potentially reuse a Manju.
  55. - (23:50) You see that the prompt for Compulsory starts going crazy. I shoul have definitely waited to set Compulsory... it may have influenced future misplays...
  56. - (24:15) I can't believe this guy played Torrential on my damn Tomato 0_0 completely ruined my idea!
  57. - (24:35) With no ritual summon in sight, I have to start thinking on my toes. Topping Nimble is okay I suppose...
  58. - (25:10) I Torrential my own Nimble summon, because: A. I'm tired of the prompt B. I don't know what the hell I'm doing :)
  59. - (25:20) This might be the worst hand you've seen in any video in my playthrough lmfao. Soon after I compulse an 850 ATK vanilla because I'm losing my damn mind... then the bastard used Card Destruction! 3 Ritual monsters, 2 spells down the drain :(
  60. - (Around 26:25) I make a play to make summon Paladin, but that was a misplay! With both Relinquished in grave, and Black Illusion in and I should have used Reincarnation to get a Relinquished. But like I said, I was losing my damn mind!
  61. I could keep going, but the duel was pure shite. I eventually get the 2 rituals I need but that was wayyyyyy longer than it should ever be.
  62.
  63. Next video I'll get more wins on Sartyr and Dimitri. I'll duel until I can get 10 wins on both of them. Then... the game moves on to its later stages.
  64.
  65. Overall wins: 165
  66. This video: This video: Sartyr (4), Dimitri (2), Brier (1).
