  4. Murias, Falias, Gorias and Findias, four cities in the third age, all four islands of light amidst a frozen sea, 4 jewels of the north, they were grate centers of trade and learning. Any of them the equal of Atlantis or Mu and like their southern cousins they too were destroyed at the end of the third age, swallowed by the sea as all that had been built burned to ashes, but not all was lost sweetling. The survivors of the four jewels of the north managed to rescue 4 treasures of their people, Lia Fáil, the stone of destiny, the Spear of Lug, Claíomh Solais the sword of light, and the Cauldron of the Dagda, four precious fragments of a age now lost to them, and the embodiment of their hope for the future. They drift for what seems like years, finding only islands of ash and rock, until finally they land in the north of a lush green island, that will someday they will call Éire, they call themselves the children of the dawn goddess or Tuatha Dé Danann in their own tongue.

They fight other survivors for the patch of workable land amidst the ashes of the third age and after the first great battle at Magh Tuireadh, the forged a new home that spanned the entire west coast, but there are still other sweetling. The Fomorians, the corrupted counterpart to the children of the dawn, anti anima flows through them as freely as anima flows through the Tuatha Dé Danann, the fate of Éire is decided when these two forces clash at the second battle of Magh Tuireadh, the warrior king Lugh slays the Balor the Fomorian chieftain and Éire is made one. This is where our story truly starts sweetling, among the conquered territories there is a tiny spot on the southeastern coast, a forest next to the sea, honeycombed with caves. The soil here is always rich and dark, no matter how many seasons pass, but the soil is not the only treasure this land hold sweetling, the Fomorians kept many secrets here in the labyrinth of caves, lost knowledge from previous ages, weapons of unimaginable power, and doors that were never meant to be opened. As the children of the dawn explore the caves below the foreste they recover more of what they lost in the last age, old magics awaken with in them, and they build a city that stretches throughout the caves. They press deeper and deeper into the caves, searching for more and more treasure, eventually they come upon one of our music boxes sweetling and the one whom it keeps dreaming. Curiosity is not just the enemy of cats sweetling, it has killed more than its share of your kind too, the Tuatha Dé Danann disrupt our rhythm and the old god stirs, zero point pathogen floods the tunnels, the children of the dawn are transformed into the children of the night, they scramble to contain the threat but there is no end to the new Fomorians numbers sweetling. When it seems all is lost a champion appears, the Dagda, the great god, a being overflowing with anima, this giant cleaves a path through the corrupted ones. He, with the help of the people of the field push the old one back across the void, the Tuatha Dé Danann are saved! The Dagda charges these warriors who helped him with guarding the rift below and any other undiscovered treasures the Fomorian left behind; he gives them the fields and the woods above it as a token of thanks. Time passes, the warriors of the green field become the farmers of the green field, who in turn are called Greenfield and then finally Green. Swords are beaten into plows and the horror below is forgotten, generations pass. The town given to the worriers by the Dagda is named Greenfield, for the fields of plenty, that grow among the forest.

  8. What is time to us? We stand outside. Everything has happened. Everything is happening. Come sweetling follow us into the future, watch as the Tuatha Dé Danann are defeated by the Milesians, watch as the Tuatha Dé Danann blend into the Milesians, watch as the children of the dawn fade away into history, leaving behind only quantum footprints in the DNA of the Milesians. Watch the creatures of the otherworld inter mingle with the Milesians, Watch as their chieftains become kings, watch as their kings fight among each other, but see Greenfield sweetling, it barely changes at all, kings rise and fall around it, but the warriors turned farmers go about their business. The creatures of the other worlds watching cautiously from the woods all the while. Is this the blessing of the Dagda, druidic magic, or perhaps there's still something in the caves that all living things know to avoid. Whatever the reason, the village remains unchanged for centuries, until one of the crossed ones lays eyes upon it.

  10. The grand master that refused the title grand master, one of the most celebrated and hated Templar of all time, Oliver Cromwell. He is a devout man sweetling and is convinced of his rightness in all things, he is also a pupil of the god slayer sweetling, it is from him that he learned his hatred of the Irish, though your history books will not record that. The parliament sent him in 1649, with the mission to crush the Irish confederate and temple hall send him with another mission root out the children of the eye, ensure that they can not threaten the order from the west. The Irish are out matched sweetling, everyday towns fall to Cromwell and everyday witches are burned and cryptid forced from their woods, at least most of them are.

  12. It was a scouting party that first came upon the dirt road leading into the woods, they almost missed, if it had not been for the captured witch that laid eyes on it. Its is a small prize from his prospective sweetling, and he has no time to deal with it, so he sends a detachment of troops to extract resources from the town, they are never seen again. He returns months later, searching for his lost troops, and he is greeted by werewolves and Sídhe, who harass them from the forest, killing horses and destroying wagons, soldier are pulled into trees and never found. Cromwell responds by burning the woods and driving iron spikes into the ashes. When they finally find the town's human inhabitants, they demand to speak with the lord of the town, they say speak, but they mean execute, its a small difference to them sweetling. They are told to go look for the lord in Scotland, they tell him their land has always belong to the king and the king gave it to a reclusive Scottish nobleman, Donald MacDuff, a rumored practitioner of the occult, but still a protestant and he can not take land from a protestants sweetling, at least not yet. He returns to England to ask permission to garrison his troops at the strange town, so that he may finish driving the un godly creatures from it, the parliament grants it, if the Scottish lord agrees and to his surprise the reclusive lord does, they return to Ireland a year later but strangely, they can not find the town of Greenfield, they search the east coast for days, but there's no sign that the town ever existed, there are no creatures in the woods, no dirt path, no village, Cromwell is ultimately forced to return to England empty handed. Meanwhile in a castle tower overlooking the sea, Donald MacDuff calculates the rate of decay of the spirals he see in the waves and the coils of the dragon snake through the north sea towards Éire.

  14. Follow us again into the future sweetling, the 17 and 1800’s were a time of Templar unification in the British isles. They had always had agents in the far west of Europe, but they had always been outnumbered by the Druids of Avalon, Cromwell changed all of that sweetling, he drove the few remaining druids from their homes in the forest and on the mountain back to their strong hold in Avalon. The Templar rushed in to fill the vacuum, new orders are established as the secretes left behind the Tuatha Dé Danann are relocated to Temple Hall for safe keeping. Soon the crossed ones are as much apart of the island as the trees and woods, but all are not happy about it sweetling, the cruelties of the English weigh heavily on them and the crossed one's make a convenient target, they associated them with the English since most came from London, and while not all of them are cruel, the cruelest among them live large in their imaginations, -Disruption Detected-. Follow us back to Scotland, see Donald MacDuff as he passes his calculations to the envoy from Avalon, see the boats holding druids as they ride the spirals of sea foam past the British navy, see them recite select portions of their history to eager scholars, witness the rediscovery of the old ways.

  16. Old magics make their way back into the Irish Templars arsenals, in the mundane world, a movement for the revival of celtic culture begins. Ireland was long considered a backwater for the crossed ones sweetling, a place where disgraced seniors and untested juniors are sent. But the rediscovery of the old magics has made them bold, the Irish grand masters demand full rights in enclave and that powerful artifacts remain in Ireland instead of being relocated to England, -Disruption Detected- the mundane and secret world interfere with one another. The enclave votes down the full integration of the irish grand masters, at the same time in Venice, envoys from Avalon present a proposal for a seat on the council, it has been 400 years since a minor faction was awarded seats sweetling, but it is not for lack of trying, the politics of the council are delicate the addition or subtraction of a single seat can affect the balance of power throughout the entire world. At this time the seats for the children of the eye are growing, while the seats for the crossed ones are shrinking. The Templar fear their past alignment with Rome will be held against them by Avalon and it doesn't help that many of those from Avalon have been cultivating networks with in Ireland, the prejudices of the ear bleed through into the enclaves debate and the Templar decide to with hold their votes from the druides. -INITIATE SEQUENCE ANALYSIS- they do not know it yet sweetling but the Templar have played right into the Dragons hand, the resentment of the Irish grand masters join with the Druids bitterness, to create the perfect atmosphere for revolution, now all they need is a butterfly to start the hurricane turning, enter the unremarkable one, Connar Green.

You cannot avoid his story when talking about the secret history of Greenfield sweetling, his ancestors were given the land by the Dagda, the same land that was hidden from Cromwell and it is his pain and grief that starts the storm of revolution going, we have told you his story before sweetling, but here we will tell you the bits that link Greenfields past to its present. 1845 The famine descends on Ireland, yet Connar Greens farm still produces potatoes, the children of the eye are intrigued and a team is dispatched. They explore the caves underneath the farm and soon find the same relic as the Tuatha Dé Danann, the old one has been called, the rift reopened, filth pours forth and swallows the children of the eye. Weeks pass the surrounding villages succumb to infection, famine finally comes to the Green’s farm. Word of the infection reaches London and Nicodemus is sent to deal with the infected. He burns the infected villages and all who live there, he cares not for the Irish sweetling, heathens, beggars, drunks, he snarls as he cuts their throats. The whispers tell him about the secrets hidden in your DNA, they tell him about how sin is inherited and how man will only defeat evil once they are made pure. They fight their way down to the rift and after many lost lives they are able to close it, but the damage is already done the infection has already spread. Containment protocols are put in place; Nicodemus orders everything within 20km destroyed. Most of Greenfield is destroyed by the Templar, only a handful of building survive from that time, among them the ruins of the family farm of Connar Green, we were there when the fire consumed his him sweetling, it was horrible thing to see. He and the other villagers would not return for many years but slowly they do come back. Cryptids and those sensitive to the secret world begin to filter back to the ruins of Greenfield. As the village rebuilds, the calls for independence grow louder, the Templar of Ireland resent the Templar in London, the mundane population remembers the cruelty inflicted on them by the English and all the while the Dragon's storm spins on towards Ireland. In 1916, a group of a Dragon operatives help to launch an uprising against the British in Dublin, Their rebellion is soon crushed, but the uprising leads to the election of more dragon operatives to parliament, which causes the Irish Templar to defect and join a newly formed government. Your history books only record a fraction of this sweetling, they do not show you the brave cryptids that fought alongside the republics forces, and they do not show you the second and third degree variables that the Dragon set in motion, and you have never read the Irish Templar's list of grievances against Temple Hall and you do not know Temple Hall did in response sweetling. We shall remedy that for you, we follow Templar loyalist north of Dublin, Temple hall has received the grievances from the lodge in Belfast, they fear their brothers in Ireland will join the rebels, they order the removal of all occult artifacts from the emerging warzone, lodges across the island empty their vaults, as Templar agents begin capturing assets that had been aloud to roam free.
  21. Enter the unremarkable one, he has waited for this time for almost a century, sweetling, he was there in Dublin when the first uprising failed and he is hungry for revenge. In the years since the god slayer destroyed Greenfield a village of cryptids and humans has risen up around its ruins, from here Connar Green raises an army the republics 108th is born, the Mac Tíre Taibhse. They begin striking back at British forces, mundane and magical alike, wherever they find Templar trying to “loot” their nation they are there to stop them. For years the Templar loose many valuable treasures in the ensuing ambushes but their scouts are able to track them back to Greenfield. An army masses in the south, Templar from London and Wales, begin assembling south of Greenfield, preparing to march on the town and retrieve all that was stolen from them, with tanks and guns. Unbeknownst to them, the mac tíre taibhse have seen them coming, and prepared for the templar army, the tunnels that permeate the countryside are collapsed to form trenches as water spirits turn the roads to mud. The Templar attempt to lay siege to the town but they can not move their tanks in to firing range, their soldiers are reduced to house to house fighting as mac tíre taibhse snipers pick at them from the rooftops, the Templar return the favor by shelling the town, and the mac tíre taibhse responded with spells and cryptids laying into the front lines. It is a terrible battle sweetling that stretches on for months, the town of Greenfield is once again reduced to rubble, but it is their rubble sweetling and they will not leave it. The siege is finally broken, when the negotiations at Temple Hall break down and the Irish Templar join the Dragons at Greenfield and break the siege. Look in the home of the unremarkable one sweetling and you will find a photo of that day, a faded black and white image of IRA commanders with a captured British commander in front of the tri color flag. 3 months after the siege a treaty is signed in Temple Hall as the Irish free state is created and the Irish Templar are granted full standing within the enclave. The Dragons forces remain in portions of the south, particularly around the east coast, as the Templar retreat the north, but the secret war in Ireland has gone cold...for now, but this would not be the last of Greenfields woes sweetling, follow us again and see how the Iron lady weathered the oncoming storm.

  23. The cold war was a strange time sweetling, your species danced on the edge of extinction but didn't seem to mind, at least most of you didn't seem to mind. The one called the Iron lady, she knew of the red hand and feared them more then all of the nuclear weapons of the world combined, for if they could harness the unknown to their will the west would fall and not take the others with them, a fate worse than death to those who crave power sweetling. The governments of the west embark on a mission to secure the occult artifacts of the world, wonders of the secret world, fragments of past ages, and powerful cryptids are all collected and confined within vaults under the strongholds of the western world. Do you see the pattern repeating itself sweetling?
  24. The Iron lady, deems Ireland's security for many artifacts to be insufficient and she dispatches troops to begin the retrieval process, under the guise of hunting terrorist. Among the most coveted weapons on her list is Caladbolg, the hard blade, a sword we gave the children of the dawn. When used properly sweetling it can level mountains, your species would not wield this can of power again until you split the atom. Years of occult research indicate the Caladbolg is hidden in the vaults beneath Greenfield, they enter the town and attempt to occupy it while they raid the vaults for their treasures, Connar Green is not amused. British special forces controlled the town for under 12 hours before the oncoming storm fell on them, before being completely wiped out, the best and brightest the SAS supernatural unite had to offer, all defeated by a single man. Among the things taken from the tunnels is Caladbolg, Connar takes the sword and goes to ground, what follows is one of the bloodiest chapters in the secret worlds history sweetling. Entire Templar orders are dispatched to help the SAS search for him sweetling, Irish Templar and British alike, they die and we revive them, they stalk the forgotten woods and ancient roads, raids are launched on cryptid enclaves across Ireland, but they are always one step behind him sweetling. The chase finally comes to an end in Antrim when Connar Green is cornered at the Giants causeway, here before an army assembled from Templar lodges across Europe, he destroyed Caladbolg before being gunned down and captured by council forces. But he is not confined for long sweetling, he is a respected voice in Ireland's secret world and is brought in to help the Council negotiate a peace in the north. Your history books record most of the Good Friday accords sweetling but they do not record all of it, particularly the parts concerning the partitioning the Ireland. The Templar maintain full authority in Ireland, so long as their headquarters remains in Belfast and not Dublin, the Dragon is given only Greenfield, but shall be responsible for all that lays beneath it. The British shall respect the sovereignty of Ireland in all matters including the supernatural and in exchange Connar Green shall never again travel to the north. The city of Dublin is deemed to be a neutral zone from which the council shall monitor and enforce the terms of the agreement. These are the pieces of the Good Friday agreement that your history books omit sweetling, the shattered pieces that came from disturbing the town of Greenfield.

  26. We have one last thing to show you sweetling come follow us into the future once more. A weary warrior finally returns home after avenging his family, he looks out over the field where is home once stood, the years have left no trace of the home where his journey began. In his head he begins to plan his new start, a new home where is old one once stood. The town he loved so well has changed so much since he was last here sweetling. The dirt roads and cobbled stone paths have been replaced with asphalt and cement, the old wooden sign that was ignored by the mundane has been replaced with steel, and many of the old homes have been replaced with nifty keen rental properties. Still much is also unchanged, the humans and cryptids still walk the streets together and there are still secretes hidden under the town, tunnels that even the Tuatha Dé Danann had forgotten. The new and old Greenfield have fused together, like two intertwined trees, dullahan teach yoga to magi and cryptids, while werewolves drink a stout beer that said to be brewed by the devil himself, or rather a devil. Banshees Skype their songs for the dead, pensioner leprechauns compose tweets about how no one appreciates artisanal shoes anymore, while selkies patrol the beaches for gullible tourist. The town that has drunk so much blood now bustles with life, yet it remains unknown to the wider world. To the south in the town of Portmarnock, they grumble about the newcomers, technology workers that seem to come from nowhere, among them a “hot shot googler living in sin with his Japanese girlfriend.” Shall we tell them the truth sweetling? Would they believe us? No, they never listen to us, unlike you, that's why they always miss the sign even when it's new, and over it all from a his newly constructed farm watches the unremarkable one, carefully observing the cauldron of chaos that is the town we love so well.
