Short Desc --- A wielded, swirling vortex edged with silver

Dropped Desc --- Lying flat upon the ground here, lies a shield that appears to be endlessly melting away and seeping into the floor.

Probed Desc --- A large, oval piece of expertly smoothed and sealed maplewood makes up the base of the moderately sized shield - it's outer rim plated in a glinting silver that makes it just as deadly as the weapons it protects its bearer against. Swirling eerily in an endless vortex a strange liquid pool is centered on the object, nondescript shadowy objects moving about in various directions within the void. Catching your attention every so often the mysterious liquid of the vortex pulses - overtaking the silver lined edge of the shield, appearing to make the item melt as the bearer holds it. Attached to the back is a thick piece of midnight blue leather, lined with sheep wool to make bearing this shield more comfortable.

Action --- The shadow laden vortex of the shield begins to churn violently causing lengthy tendrils of molten silver to splash over it's fine edge, dripping to the ground and seeping into it without a trace.
