Mamas & Papas are a UK-based retailer and manufacturer supplying prams, pushchairs, baby products, furniture and maternity wear.
Mamas & Papas realised that parents wanted good quality products with a unique sense of individuality and therefore made it their ambition to produce a range which met these requirements. This creativeness came from their own experiences of parenting, customer insights and rigorous trialling at their UK test lab. They continue to create innovative products with thoughtful designs.

Contract Details
Following award of this agreement, an initial meeting was carried out at their Head Office by Ben Townend our Project Implementation Manager and Simon Walsh our E-commerce Manager. Mamas and Papas needs were addressed and implemented in accordance with their exact requirements.
Mamas & Papas have 40 stores situated throughout the UK and Ireland, deliveries are carried out next day to each store. There is a buyer situated at every location and our specialists created individual online log-ins for each user, so that they can choose their items then Head Office monitor and authorise the order.
Our E-commerce team worked closely with Mamas & Papas to create a bespoke catalogue which only identified products and pricing agreed with themselves. This ensured adherence to the core product list at all times.

Added Value

Mamas & Papas organise monthly in-store events at each location where customers can attend, we supply them with event kits which consist of the following items:-

Biodegradable paper plates, Large napkins, Harrogate still spring water 500ml, San Pellegrino, Black platters and tongs.

We provide them with a dedicated Account Manager who  has built up a close relationship with their Head Office and each buyer. Our Account Manager provides the most innovative solutions and is a product expert at identifying cost effective alternative products at the point of sale, recommending better value items for Mamas & Papas.

About the Customer: Founded in 1922, the BBC is the world’s oldest national broadcasting organisation with offerings in TV, radio and online. With headquarters in Broadcasting house, London the organisation has over 20,000 employees.

Contract Details
The contract was only available to those suppliers who had been awarded a position on the Crown Commercial Services Framework Agreement for the Wider Public Sector. This is a highly publicised government framework and ACS were successful in being appointed onto this agreement in March 2015.
The BBC operates a decentralised purchasing model where various teams, offices and locations hold their own budgets and place orders independently of each other. All spend is allocated to each stakeholder’s individual charge code.

Added value
The BBC required a punch-out catalogue implementing for their users to access, this needed to be fully integrated with their existing system. Order transmissions are received via XML and invoicing is carried out electronically. ACS were required to be a member of the Ariba Supplier Network and following award of this contract our e-business specialists implemented 4,500 BBC users.

As well as providing the BBC with traditional Office supplies such as pens, paper, inks, shredders and janitorial products we provide The BBC with Pre-printed stationery such as envelopes, packing tape, address labels, bespoke calendars, return pads, supporting artists/timesheet forms. Deliveries are carried out on a next day basis to 140 locations throughout UK and Ireland.
