  1. 1. Tell me a little about your position at [COMPANY] and when you were hired.
  2. Liberty Mutual is a worldwide insurance company, and fortune 100 company in the US. I am an Executive Sales Agent in charge of selling personal auto, homeowner, and life insurance. I was hired back in Oct, 2002.

  4. 2. What does a typical day at work look like for you?
  5. I run quotations based on my client’s needs on both auto, homeowner, and life insurance, and present and educate them after. They will based on their needs make a decision which quotation you will go ahead with. Sometime the closings happen in in my office, others by email, or even meeting client at their work, and home.

  7. 3. How would you describe the management style at [COMPANY]?
  8. I do have my assistant working for me doing same line of duty as I do. I will have to say my style of management is hands-on initially, one the assistant is up-to-the-speed, I try not to micro-manage her as long as she completes her tasks. The management however has taken a weird turn as of late, with our office's manager being a little softer than the past. I had 2 managers during my time at LM.

  10. 4. If any, does your company provide ways for you to grow professionally and personally?
  11. Yes, my company does have program for balance personal and business life by providing flexible working space – working at home. But I prefer working in the office, I am much more productive at work.

  13. 5. Say you had an idea that, if adopted, would results in many changes for the company. How would you go about communicating that with upper management?
  14. LM is fortune 100 company. Honestly, Being in the sales in the field, our voice is very little, they don’t get heard all the time. We do have annual companywide survey, this is the only time we can voice our opinion.

  16. 6. What are some of your biggest challenges at work?
  17. Getting the right kind of clients and same time collecting the right kind of premium.

  19. 7. If you could change one thing about the management style at work, what would it be?
  20. I would want to be able to pitch certain ideas to my whole office such as: Awarding long term loyal customers for a life time client status on a case by case base.

  22. 8. How has the company evolved since you were hired?
  23. When first joined the company 15 years ago, we are in the 8th place in the insurance field, now it is in the 4th place.

  26. They have been the same.

  29. Company award workers who works hard handsomely.

  32. Our products change from time to time. It seem more difficult sell our homeowner products without use other insurance company.

  35. Responsibility is a value that both me and the company share.

  37. 13. If any, are there other companies’ management styles that you like more than [COMPANY]?
  38. I really like working for Liberty Mutual and I am hoping to retire with it.
