Fate of The World Session 23

You split off from your friends and head to the third floor. You aren't too sure what you'll find and once you arrive there, you instantly regret taking this floor.

It's all related to fucking office work!

No, no you left that life behind...but, you feel like you don't have a choice.

"You've got to be kidding me." You mutter as you walk onto the show floor, there's tons of business types walking around, going here and there and looking at whatever catches their eye. Though you've been in a somewhat similar position before, you really wish that you weren't here right now. Still, there's nothing for you to do but go along with all this. You take a general look around and see what it is that's worth checking out.

After some brief looking, you think you've narrowed it down to a few notable spots. They're at the very least, enough to garner interest just by name alone.

"These look good..." You mutter to yourself

Well, may as well check out the 'Enhancing Your Office Experience' area. You walk over to it, and the entire thing is about how one can decorate their office to make it feel more homely. Of note is what's called a 'Mirror'. It's not an actual mirror, but is instead what could basically be called a monitor you hang on your wall which can be set up so that it shows some relaxing images (or whatever images you like) to help spice up the office the bit, so that you don't have to be staring at mostly blank walls or the usual sterile environment that comes with working in an office.

It's...not bad? You're new to the modeling thing, but you get the idea that being Renee's Manager is going to require you to work in an office again, so something like this could be useful.

The next thing they talk about is getting special automatic chairs that vibrate and massage the body when you need it. They're even offering some demos of the chair itself.

"Would you like to try sir?" One of the models asks "I promise you that  you'll feel completely  relaxed after trying the chair out.

It's...tempting actually. Especially with all the fighting that you get into...

Well heck, it couldn't hurt could it? You agree to give it a shot and the woman guides you to the demonstration area, where you sit down on the chair and once she starts it up, you can't help but feel...really tired. It's extremely relaxing and you can't help but feel your eyes growing heavy as the chair begins to vibrate. You do your best, but the urge to fall asleep is overpowering and before you know it you're out like a light.

You hear a strange whirring sound that causes your eyes to shoot open. Sleepy though you may be, you can tell that you aren't on the 3rd floor any longer. No, instead you're in a dark room...it's difficult to see, but that doesn't matter, as what does matter is what is slowly hovering over you, edging ever so closer to you than before.

"Oh holy hell!!!" You exclaim jumping from the chair and whipping out your sword and slashing it as quickly as you can. Though you hit it, your body is still a bit sluggish and so you don't put as much power into it as you'd like.

The creature lets out a loud...blaring sound and as soon as that happens, another pair of those robots from before enter the room.

"Intruder identified, entering combat mode."

"Oh you've got to be kidding..." You snarl "Alright, you metallic fucks, you wanna go? Let's go!"

You don't have time to figure out how you ended up here, you quickly take out your needle gun and open fire on the first Sentinel. You tear into it, none of your shots missing as it sparks with electricity from the attack. Raising your hand,  you cast some magic on Eve, causing her to snort in return.

"It'll do I suppose. Now, Oberon, Surface Cutting." She says lazily as one of her robotic minions appears and begins to slash at the enemy...only to miss miserably.

"Tch, fool." She growls at him

"Opening fire." Aeda mutters as she attempts to blast the enemy, unfortunately for her...like Eve, her attacks fall short, with the enemy either blocking or dodging it with ease.

"Here, I'll soften the blows!" Y'shtola calls out, wrapping you all in protective magic

"Okay, I'll just transform and-!"

You and everyone else in the room feel your bodies nearly crushed as Rhea attempts to transform into her dragon body

"Rhea, turn back, TURN BACK!" You wheeze out

You quickly feel yourself able to breathe as Rhea returns to normal

"S-sorry! I should have realized sooner that this room isn't big enough for that...

>Rhea cannot transform here!

As she turns back, the enemy takes this chance to attack! The small robot attempts to latch itself onto Aeda, but she dodges it with ease!

The first Sentinel strikes you, landing a solid hit as you stagger back

The second one showers his group in a red aura "Improving combat parameters."

You're still reeling from that previous attack, but even so, you continue raining fire on your enemies, doing your best to hit them all with as much firepower as you can before once again casting more magic on Eve.

"Space Wrench!" Eve calls out as Oberon sends a X-shaped slash out towards all of your enemies

"Initiating Blast Barrage." Aeda says as she once again opens fire on the enemy, this time hitting all of them without fail. It completely destroys the small floating...thing, while dealing heavy damage to the others.

"Keep it up, I'll continue to support you!" Y'shtola calls out

>All allies defense increased!

"Take this!" Rhea calls slashing at one of the Robots, taking advantage of an opening

In return the robot takes a swing at her, but just barely misses, only for the second to try and follow up behind its ally. Still, despite her looks, Rhea is fast enough to dodge out of the way still.

"They're slowing down!" Rhea says "These...things, I think we can finish them!"

You continue opening fire, but unfortunately, you end up missing one of the robots and just barely hitting the other

"Surface Cutting Oberon!" Eve commands, to which Oberon slices the enemy up with great effect this time.

Aeda tries to attack one of them, but she's easily dodged, while Y'shtola catches it off guard mid-dodge, striking it with her earth magic.

"I've got you!" Rhea exclaims slashing the second robot, and absolutely crushing it to pieces in the process.

Though it clearly can't win the robot continues fighting, though it can't even hit you due to the damage. You effortlessly destroy it by pumping it full of lead before it crumples on the floor.

With the fighting done, you quickly recall the ladies to your COMP. It's time to get to figuring out just where you are. Stepping outside of the room, you're in a really dark area, so much so that you have to take out your phone to get any kind of bearing on where you are. Looking around, you see a sign that reads 'Basement'.

"The hell? I'm in the basement?!" You whisper to yourself "Must be whatever was going on at that booth. I've got to get back there before anything happens to someone else! Hell, how many people could they have gotten to already? You've got to be quick.

There could be something useful nearby, so you decide to take some time to check out some of the rooms down here. Things seem well enough, nothing too out of the ordinary though you take note that there aren't any of the robots here. Strange...could they have been there solely to deal with you? Or was this on a case by case basis of who they brought down here. In fact, what was that robot going to do you? Now that you think on it, it nearly latched onto Aeda's head and that can't be good no matter what. Stepping into one room, you see nothing out of the ordinary save for a singular sword sitting off to the side against the wall.

"Could the enemy have brought this here?" You mutter as you pick it up, the blade is a dark red color and it doesn't feel that weighty either. In fact, on closer inspection it's pretty pristine and can be used for fighting! As you hold it in your hand, you notice that it glows just a little bit. You don't feel any weird happen to you though, so you're assuming that there's no side-effects. In the end, you opt to take it with you.

With that done, you leave this particular room and check out a few more, there's nothing out of the ordinary here for these ones, just a bunch of junk and random things that would be used in case of future events, however, when you get ready to enter one room, you suddenly hear Dante speak to you from your COMP

"Whoa there Hiro, gettin' a bad feeling about this one. You sure wanna go through that door?"

If Dante of all people is warning you, then you should probably listen to him...

Despite your reservations, you opt to go into the room, there's probably a chance that something inside will help point you in the right direction. With a audible gulp you open the door and step through. The instant you do, your vision wavers, it' almost like you're being pulled to some other place. It takes all you can muster before you regain your senses properly and when you do, you look up to see...a figure staring back at you.

"Who are you? It's quite rude to enter a woman's room uninvited you know!"

You're confused for a moment as you look the giant woman over. She's literally a giant and could probably crush you with just her finger alone if she really wanted.

"It's not polite to stare." She says, though she smirks at the same time "Again, who are you?"

"Uh, I'm Hiromu. Who are you?"

"Hathor. A pleasure...now then, why have you come to my room?"

Hathor just stares at you sideways "Kon-ven-tion? I don't know what that is, but this is quite annoying."

"Sorry, but there's not much I can do about it." You say with a shrug

"Hmph, well you're a human right? Go talk to this...Kon-ven-tion person and tell them to at least knock before bothering me?

Hathor sizes you up before letting out a giggle. "You're funny. I see what you're attempting to do. Very well, convince me to come along with you."

"Convince you?"

"That's right. Negotiation is the mark of a person with true talent."

"I...okay then, what would convince you?"

"Surprise me." She says with a laugh "I'll decide if it meets my satisfaction

>Time to Negotiate! Think of something to try and get Hathor on your side. You can also just leave if you want.

"Well, I can give you food and drinks that you've most likely never had before?"

"Hmph, you believe that mere food can win me over?"

"I mean, it's pretty good. Made by one of my friends. It's surprisingly good, much better than some of the things I've eaten before in my life."

"Hmmm, show me."

You proceed to take out one of Ryza's burgers, along with one of the drink for good measure. "Help yourself." You say handing it over to her, though small in her hand, Hathor is able to pick it up without any trouble and drop it into her mouth with ease.

"My...this is...not bad. It's...passable as food."

She says that, but she seems happy enough. She downs the drink as well, a small smile on her face

"Oho, how sweet this particular drink is. I feel slightly invigorated as well! These are rather nice gifts. But I am not fully convinced just yet."

You think on what to do next, she's in a good mood so maybe you can have Miku sing to help things go along? You tell Hathor that you're calling on a friend to entertain her for a bit, to which she smiles.

"Oh, entertainment? I'm looking forward to it."

You summon Miku and have her sing a tune for Hathor. You keep a look on her face, and see that she's...mostly unimpressed.

"Is this what humans listen to these days? How droll"

"D-droll!? Why you-!"

You quickly recall Miku into your COMP before she can say anything to upset her.

>Hathor was unimpressed. Still, she doesn't look totally upset.

You sigh "Okay,I'm going to be totally honest here and lay all my cards on the table. The main reason I'm even here is that we're fighting an eldritch abomination that's seeking to wipe out all reality because he may or may not technically exist. He's even going so far as to try to smash different worlds together to see what damage he can do and if that doesn't work he just creates monsters of his own, I even had to fight my way through some college students he decided to kill and reanimate as cannon fodder. So yeah, I kind of have to grab every chance I can get to turn the tides and having someone with your abilities on our side is too good an opportunity to pass up on."

You watch as Hathor thinks to herself for a moment. Her eyes close in contemplation as she mulls over your words. She lets out a few hums as she continues to think and you sit there looking at her.

"Very well...I must admit, your tale is quite interesting. Now that I think on it, perhaps *that* is the reason you're here. This abomination as you call it may have been the cause. In that case, I suppose I should come along to teach him the proper manners of how one is supposed to treat a lady.

"I am Hathor. Do your best not to bore me Hiromu."

Hathor proceeds to shrink down to the size of a normal woman before entering your COMP.

"Come. Let us go."

With that out of the way, you exit the room, returning to the basement area.

With the negotiations with Hathor done you decide to continue searching the basement more for anything out of the ordinary or something useful. The place is becoming more and more thick with robot just like before. In fact, the more you look...this is a goddamn factory!

You peer into one room and see that indeed there's an entire assembly line of the things. But how? That couldn't have been here...could it? Maybe it's Nyarly messing with things? It wouldn't be too far off all things considered.

You continue watching as the robots are put together and sent up a tube at the end of the assembly line...where the hell are they going? To the upper floors? The moon? Somewhere else entirely? There's far too many questions going on in your head for you to think right now, the real issue is what do you do about this? Maybe you can shut the area down...break it or something? Or maybe it's better that you move along?

You quickly scan the area and there doesn't appear to be anyone keeping lookout, but you never know what could be waiting just around the corner.

You decide to destroy this thing, but how are you going to do it? As you're thinking about this, a stroke of genius hits you as Monika would be the perfect candidate to do such a thing. You move as quietly as possible to the control panel. There's no guards here which is odd, but considering how many robots fill the halls, perhaps the enemy feels as though the extra security isn't warrented?

Well, that's gonna bite them in the ass.

You call Monika from your COMP and explain your plan.

"No worries dear, I can very much do that easily~!"

You watch as Monika touches her hand to the control panel and...something happens. You aren't sure what, just that you see a small line of energy going from her finger to the console.

"Wow...this is...huh, interesting..." Monika hums

"What's wrong? Can you do it?"

"Oh it's finished...just well..."

"Well...?" You ask with a raised eyebrow

"I can't outright destroy it. At least not from the inside. The systems running on this are...well somewhat alien. To be blunt about it. I've shut it down, but no doubt someone could easily come along and fix the problem if they wanted."

You look to the assembly line and sure enough, it's stopped. So you've at least halted operations for a bit, which could be enough for you to solve this whole mess.

"Hey Monika, see if you can snatch a few of those robots."

"Oh, what for?" Monika asks

"Shields of course, something to block an incoming attack."

"Not a bad idea...let me see here..."

Monika waltz over to some of the robots that are completed but not activated and touches her hands to them. You watch as she focuses on them before smirking slightly

"Teehee, easy~!" she giggles  as she snaps her fingers "These were much easier to take control of than I expected! Okay children, up and at em!"

The robots stand at attention. All 5 of them circling around Monika to make a makeshift human shield of sorts as she laughs.

"Oh this is great! I think I'll like these!"

>For the duration of the dungeon Monika will have access to 5 robot sentinels. They're fresh of the assembly line and as such lack their weapons and usual armor. That said, they can soak up at least 60 points of damage before being destroyed. Monika can send them to block damage for another character if she wishes. The robots cannot attack.

"Great work Monika!" You say, which causes her to flush in embarrassed happiness "Now, time to break this thing!"

You bring out your sword and bring it down on the control panel....and nothing really happens, There's a bit of damage, but it's mostly minor. It was also loud as all hell.

"Um, Hiro...dear, maybe you should stop? We may draw unwanted attention!"

You weigh your options

>You're right, let's go before any trouble shows up.

"No way Monika, I can't just leave this place here. If I can't smash those controls then..."

You quickly call Ryza out from your COMP and instruct her to blow the computer to kingdom come

"I can do that! Just stand back a bit."

What you expected was Ryza to maybe set one bomb. But instead...she sets several. The bombs go off in a mix of fire, electricity, and Ice as the entire area begins to fill with smoke and an alarm goes off.

Wait...an alarm.

"Oh crap..." You mutter "Come on girls, time to hightail it!"

You, Monika, Ryza, (and Monika's robots) all hurriedly leave the area funneling out into the hallway and ducking in a corner to hide from the enemy that is now converging on the location.

"W-what's the plan now Hiro? That's way too many enemies to take on at once!" Ryza mutters

"There's gotta be more here. Let's go!" You whisper to the girls behind you as you take a step out of your hiding place.

"Intruder spotted."

Annnd you step right into the sight of one of the robots from before. And it only gets worse

"Intruder spotted."

As there's a few more robots from the other end that find you too!

"Oh shit..."

Before you can do anything else, one of them opens fire and you're only JUST saved by one of the robots that Monika had taken control of. It leaps in front of you blocking the shot, but the blow was fatal(for lack of a better term) and it crumpled into a heap afterwards.

"You moron! We should have run!" Ryza scowls joining your side

"There's nothing to do for it, we'll have to fight and-eek!" Monika exclaims as a shot manages to hit her shoulder.

"Dammit, Monika, are you okay?" you ask

"I-I'll be fine!"

>Monika has 4 robots left
>Due to that pitiful roll, the enemy has the initiative and will act first on all rounds

You're caught off guard as the enemies begin attack you. The first one moves in and manages to hit Hathor with a solid blow, causing her to squeal in pain

The second one attempts to follow up, but Hathor dodges it easily, even though she's still reeling from the attack from before.

"These metal golems are troublesome." She mutters to herself

"Careful, their opening fire!" Monika calls out as you (and the others) hit the floor, avoiding the swathe of bullets heading your way. It's a marvel that you were able to avoid them all without suffering any damage.

"H-here Eve!" You call out, engulfing her in magic to increase her power

>Eve's physical attack increased by +4
"Right, Oberon, Space Wrench!" Eve calls out, summoning her servant to slash the air...and entirely miss the enemy as they dodge out of the way.

"You...you're going to be punished for this later."

Oberon merely rubs his head, you actually can't help but feel sort of sorry for him.

"Monika, eat this!" Ryza says shoving a blue...cake into her mouth?

"W-what is-mmmffkaskhg"

Monika quickly downs it, though that's more due to lack of oxygen rather than actually wanting to eat the thing. Once she's done, she takes a huge breathe

"W-what was that?!"

"Puni Pudding, it'll fix you right up!" Ryza said with a grin

>Monika's Defense increased!

Snapping her fingers, Hathor engulfs the enemy in a magic aura, that you notice causes their armor to slightly degrade.

>All enemies defense decreased!

"Let me...try to hack one..." Monica mumbles, you watch as small light blue strands of light move towards one of the gun toting bots, Monika moving her fingers as fast as she can, only for a small electric shock to cause her to pull her hand back.

"D-damn, it didn't work. Sorry everyone..."

"No time to worry, just keep fighting!" you call back

The enemy continues attacking you, with the Sentinel doing something to increase the gun-toting robots abilities. While the second one, takes a stab at Ryza, which she avoids with ease.

You're unlucky though when one of the robots bullets manages to hit you.

"Guh!' Yous snarl, trying to bite down the pain as best you can. You manage to dodge another hail of bullets before casting some more magic on Eve.

>Eve's PHYS damage increased! It's maxed out!

"Space Wrench, and hit this time!" Eve commands

This time Oberon does just that hitting every robot with an X shaped slash

"Eve, you're hurt! Eat up!" Ryza exclaims tossing her a pudding

"Oh...er...thank you?" Eve replies cautiously eating it "Quite the chilled taste."

"You'll grow weaker!" Hathor exclaims, eroding the enemy's armor even more

Taking this opportunity, Monika unleashes a...something. You do not know what it is...but it's...evil. Bad, it's almost as if for a moment, the Monika from the game seeps out as she looks on with manic glee at the enemy being hurt...

Once again, you're forced on the defensive as the enemy attacks. One of the sentinels goes for Monika, but she quickly uses one of the robots to block the attack! It's a solid hit, and the robot sparks a bit, but it manages to remain form in its effort to protect Monika. The second one tries to hit Ryza, but misses its attack.

However, the the first Artillery Unit opens fire and deals some serious damage to Ryza, peppering her with bullets. She just barely dodges the the next few rounds, and the second one is no different, taking aim at Eve and getting some shots in.

"Ryza, hang on!" You shout moving in and slashing at the robot. You it, taking another swing at the second one and while you miss, you manage to push it back.

"Space Wrench Oberon!"

Aaaand he misses.

Eve, doesn't say anything, but glares daggers at her servant...right before Ryza stuffs another pudding in her face.

Hathor meanwhile, continues to lower the enemies defense.

Once again Monika attacks that same artillery unit and once again she has that sadistic smile on her face as she does so. "Die...Die for hurting him".

The fight continues, with the two sentinels instead of attacking anyone, instead proceed to increase the power of the two artillery units.

The first unit opens fire on Hathor, getting a solid hit in on it's shots,causing the goddess to wince in pain, After which it switches up and fires at Ryza!

"Oh no you don't! Cover her!" Monika calls out to the robot that had been protecting her and dives in front of Ryza, soaking up the damage. It's smoking badly and crackling electricity now, but it stands in front of her still, ready to take another hit if need be.

"Dammit!" You growl attempting to slash at the sentinels, but you go just a bit too wide, making your swings easy to read, and both dodge out of the way.

Eve once again calls for Oberon to attack all of the enemies at once and this time he manages to hit them

Ryza having been shielded by the robot, quickly follows up on Eve's attack, firing off an orb of magic before calling forth several pillars of light that strikes all the robots with a sickening blow

Hathor snaps her fingers again, making the enemy's armor look extremely brittle now. It's almost like it'd fall apart by itself.

Monika tries using her...magic(?) again but the artillery unit is able  to dodge it this time much to her chagrin.

As if noting it's on its last legs, the two sentinels attack you. Each one getting a hit in. In fact, the second one gets you right in the gut with its baton like weapon and you just about double over in pain. You can barely stand, but you have enough energy left that you quickly deliver two solid blows to the second one. Paying it back for the damage it dealt to you! Parts of its body are hacked off as it barely hangs on.

Before anything can happen though, one of the artillery  units takes a shot at Monika! Since she's not being protected at the moment, she bears the full brunt of the shots fired at her!

"K-kyah~!" She whimpers

"Are you okay Monika?!" Ryza

"I'll be fine!" She gasps sending the robot to guard Eve, who expertly dodges all the gunfire that comes her way before having Oberon attack once again. This time, Oberon completely shreds the sentinels, leaving them in pieces on the floor, while the first Artillery Unit isn't too far behind

"Eve here!" Ryza calls out

"What no-Mmmfghek!"

Eve is unable to speak as another pudding is shoved into her mouth

>Eve's defense increased!

"Stop doing that!"

"Hathor ignores the two and seeing your wounds, casts some healing magic on the party, you feel a bit better, but far from top condition.

Monika once again tries to attack one of the units but misses just barely.

"Dammit." She mutters

"Teehee, allow me~" Hathor says before wrapping you and your party up in a red mirror like barrier.

The two artillery units fire, but their bullets instead reflect back at them! The first artillery unit is completely shredded by it's own fire, crumpling into a mess of parts while the second one takes some serious damage from it's own fire.

You see this as a chance and begin to fire off rounds of your own, pumping the last robot with as much lead as you can, watching as its ripped apart once and for all. The robots lay around you and your team in a mess of parts and despite how much you want to celebrate your victory, you don't waste any time and instead, you and the others rush for the exit, doing your best to avoid any more patrols. You don't stop until you're back on the 3rd floor, huffing and heaving the entire time. What to do now?

Trying to remain casual, you step back into the main area of the 3rd floor and nothing seems out of the ordinary. You thought that perhaps they'd set a fire alarm or something for the explosion, but no one seems to notice. Maybe they can't hear it? You don't smell smoke wafting up this way either, which is saying something.

You ultimately chalk it up to the general weirdness that goes on with situations like this and continue on to somewhere else. You ignore the numerous looks you and your motley crew get. Most people are staring at Monika and the robots that are following her around. You're even stopped once and are forced to make up an excuse about you guys just being a bunch of staff needed for some booth. Part of the modeling company and such, which thankfully works.

With that being the case, you head to the booth showing off automated filing machines. As you head there, you notice that the first place you stopped at...is gone. Like, completely. There's nothing but a big empty spot where it was.

That's concerning...

For now, you stop at automated filing and sure enough, it's just a bunch of robot arms moving things into place and nothing more...

"How interesting...these are human tools?" Hathor comments "How interesting, I did not think humans were capable of making things such as this. Even for a task so menial.

You just continue watching the robot arms expertly file away a bunch of blank documents. In this case they're organizing them alphabetically to show off how useful they are. You, Monika, and Eve don't especially care, but Hathor and Ryza are all over it.

"It's so cool!" Ryza says with glee

"Indeed, truly a marvel, they don't even drop the paper or halt for even a moment." Hathor comments "Perhaps I can use these for myself at some point..."

They continue looking over it as you roll your eyes

"It's almost like Empel's arm..." Ryza mutters "I've gotta write down how this thing works..."

"Can we go yet? This bores me." Eve states plainly

You continue standing around as Hathor and Ryza gush at the machines. You're incredibly bored, but they seem to be having fun, so there's that you guess.

You eventually pull the girls away from the are and decide to move on. As you do you notice that several people mention a ballroom where a big announcement is about to be made. That sounds interesting, though you still haven't checked out the last point of interest on this floor. You're noticing more and more people head over towards it though.

Your next stop is synergy programs. Oddly, this isn't even related technology really, but is a small booth dedicated to teaching proper communication between staff, building trust between workers and their bosses and generally some useful tips to help destress after hard day's work be it alone or with friends. Ranging from things to some light drinks, a couple parties to celebrate a job well done, to even something small such as leaving a note or compliment that someone did a great job.

You kind of wish that you had this at your old job.

You continue listening on what good ways to build good synergy through small almost insignificant actions that ultimately help to get you, your fellow workers, and your bosses all on the same page and as one tight unit. You'll definitely being making a mental note of these techniques for the future.

With that done, you head over to the ballroom. Since you went to the synergy progams area first, you're kind of right in the middle and as everyone else is sitting patiently and watching the presentation given. Something about robots that will help to improve the overall life of the people, you're stuck staring at the man on stage giving it.

"Now then...can I have a volunteer for a demonstration?" He asks with a faux smile

You decide to wait this out. You aren't sure what Jail is planning but it can't be good. It's dark enough that he can't make you out from how far away you are, which is a plus. It isn't long before one woman raises her hand and comes up on stage. The robot in question (it's a sentinel you notice) is...surprisingly gentle. It waits on her hand and foot as if she were a queen, doing her hair, giving her an expert masssage and...even taking a defensive stance interposing itself between the woman and Jail as if he were about to strike her at any given moment.

"As you can see, besides being able to help you with day to day activities, these robots will also act as general bodyguards for anyone who obtains one, going above and beyond to protect them, all while insuring that no innocents are harmed."

There's impressed murmurs from the audience as they speak to one another

"They're even able to work in tandem with much of what was displayed here today, being able to double not only as a fully automated workforce, but also as security too."

This causes even more muttering from the crowd.

"Shall I continue?"

You hang back still, trying to gauge what it is exactly that Jail is doing. So far, it seems that he's really just putting on a regular presentation.

"Very well, the next thing I'm going to show is something I'm sure you've seen already on the hall grounds itself, but this VR headset is just perfect for relaxing. Your mind will get lost in the virtual world. Of course, there's nothing good about that, so it has a timer set in that you can configure to your heart's content. He has the robots wheel out a chair with a VR Headset

This time another person comes up, strapping the thing on their head and soon after they're amazed at everyting they're seeing. This goes on for 5 minutes before the VR headset lifts off of them automatically.

"I hope you enjoyed it sir." Jail says in a polite tone

The person leaves the stage, smiling all the while as they return to their seat where they begin muttering to the person next to them.

"What should we do Hiro?" Ryza asks

"Let's try to sneak closer." You tell everyone

And so you all begin to move, aiming for going backstage, your plans ultimately fail when a spotlight is put on you

"And here is our special guest for today! Mr. Kazuchika, please come up on stage!"

You hesitate for a moment, weighing your odds that it'd probably be best to run, but who knows what else he has planned and so and your allies walk on stage, a small scowl on your face.

"Thank you my friend! Now that you're here, we can begin in earnest!"

"What are you talking about...?" You say in a low voice

"Well, for this I need some audience help. Everyone! If you look below your seats, you'll see a small box, please open it!"

The people in the audience do so, opening their boxes to see a small red gemstone necklace.

"Think of it as a gift for all you lovely people. If you would, please wear it?"

Without a second thought, the audience members don the necklaces, many of them far to eager at having what appears to be some fancy jewelry to wear.

"Is everyone wearing them? Great! Now then~!"

A sickening smile comes over Jail's face as he snaps his fingers. As soon as he does, the entire audience goes stock still, their mouths hanging on open as the gems glow and a red light pours out of their mouths."

"What...the..fuck." You mutter

"Language Mr.Kazuchika, all will be made clear soon. Oh I wouldn't attack, who knows what could happen?"

"Hey...Hathor...can you set the curtains on fire?" You whisper to her

"What?"

"Set the curtains on fire, we need a distraction!"

"Very well."

Hathor casts a fire spell up at the curtains, causing a fire to quickly spread. The curtains fall near Jail, causing him to scowl and move away, stopping what he was doing before smiling to himself.

"Dammit, I was close, I didn't think you'd call my bluff. You're far more ruthless than the TSAB and for that I must say you have a small bit of my admiration."

With that he leaves, the control over the people subsiding as they come to their senses. Upon seeing the fire, they all hurriedly scream, fleeing the ballroom.

You're right behind them, and when you get out, you see Renee and the others

"Hiro! There you are!"

You avoid some of the crowd and quickly get to their side.

"Hey everyone, I uh...ran into a friend, scared him off though."

"T-that's good and all...but Hiro l-look!" Holly exclaimed pointing towards the ceiling.

You look up and see...what in the hell is that?

"What the hell is that thing?!" you shout

"That my friends, is the new world. Our Lord's new world!"

You turn to the familiar voice to see two figures you'd not seen in a long while.

"And soon, our lord's world will come to fruition~!"

>Cool, now what the fuck is it?

You raise an eyebrow...you know that you've fought them before but...

"Who are you two again?"

There's a tense silence as the red brother growls

"You ignorant moron we're-"

"Settle brother, it matters not. They will all die soon anyway." The blue brother says grabbing the other's shoulder

"Ah...yes you're right. Forgive me, I almost lost my cool there for a moment."

"What is that." Alphonse says stepping forward brandishing his gun "Speak now, or die."

"My, so rude." The blue brother laughs "What you see before you is the new world. The World of Chaos that Lord Nyarlthotep has begun to create. I suppose Mr.Jail wanted to give you a glimpse of it, if only for a moment."

"A glimpse...it's not done yet?"

"Oh no, not yet. Almost though. We need more souls to help make it. You see, our lord managed  to snag himself a...cosmic egg. All it needs are nice helping of souls to allow it to give birth to this godless world."

"Godless?! I'll have you know a goddess stands before you!" Hathor growls

"A weak one anyway." The blue brother taunts

"Y-you-!"

"Anyway, soon, the new world will be born, sadly you won't see it."

"A Cosmic Egg? What?" You ask confused

"I'll admit, even I'm not 100% sure on what it is exactly. However, Mr.Jail was able to explain it well enough: It is an entire universe waiting to be born. Of course, there's just one problem...there's already a universe here."

"Ours..."Alphonse says rubbing his chin

"Exactly." The blue brother says "In order for the new universe to be fully realized, the old one must cease to exist."

"S-so you're planning to destroy everything?!" Holly exclaims

"Destroy is such a crude term. Think of it as more of a...do-over. A wiping the slate clean sort of thing if you will."

"Yeah sure, whatever helps you freaks sleep at night." Renee snarls

"As if I'd listen to some whore who'll flaunt herself for the masses." The blue brother spits back

"W-whore?! Hiro, can I kill them now?"

"Try it whore." The Red Brother sneers

>You can't seriously think destroying a world is okay

You aren't entirely sure why, but that little slight, that little insult is enough to set you off and before anyone can react, you take out your gun and open fire, managing to hit the red brother several times.

"Br-brother are you alright?!" The blue brother cries

"I-I'm fine! I was done talking anyway, come on brother, it's time to fight!"

"You're right. Now then all of you, this place will be your grave!

The two brothers, using their COMPS summon two beings to join them in battle. A knight clad in black armor and a centaur knight, also clad in black armor, with a green glow enveloping his helmet and scythe. The two exude power, putting you and your friends on your guard.

"It's on! They both shout in unison

You don't waste any time calling out your summons. You ask for Renee to send out Darkness, which she happily obliges.

"We'll keep any other enemies off of you." Alphonse states "Don't overdo it, we fight as one."

You nod to him before turning towards the brothers. You quickly cast some of your magic on Eve, increasing her attack!

>Eve's Physical Damage Increased

"Hmph, be thankful." Eve says as she snaps her fingers. You feel your attack power increase!

>All Allies Physical Damage Increased!

"HIT ME. DRIVE YOUR WEAPONS INTO MY FLESH AND-"
"SHUT UP!" Everyone else yells at Darkness

"U-uuuu..." she whimpers

"Opening Fire." Aeda states before blasting the enemy with her guns. Hitting all of them with relative ease

"I'll lessen the damage!" Y'shtola cries, enveloping you in a protective aura

>All allies Defense increased!

"I'm gonna tear you apart! The Red Brother snarls rushing towards you to attack, however, he misses both of his attacks, his sword swings being completely sloppy in attempting to hit you.

"I've got you brother!" The Blue Brother calls out as he blasts you some ice magic. Only Eve gets hurt by it though, Darkness unable to both dodge the attack coming her way and get to Eve in time. However, he then hits Darkness with another attack, chilling her to the bone!



The black knight raises his sword, and you feel a white light wash over you. When it's done you feel weaker, as if whatever enhancements you had are gone!

>All buffs removed!

The black knight swings it's sword at you, but he flubs it and as Darkness blocks the attack, she's able to get off a good counterattack!

The Centaur Knight whirls his sctyhe, covering you all in a magic aura that makes you feel weaker. It then proceeds to swing it's scythe at Aeda! but misses!

You swing your blade at the enemy in a wide arc, attempting to hit all of them! You miss the first time, but get them all on the rebound, hitting them as you hit the brothers, you feel watch as the sword glows red, sucking up some of their blood and pooling it to your body, closing up some of your wounds!

"Holy crap!" You mutter in shock

Before the enemy can act, Eve calls down a giant fist, damn near crushing the Black Knight before it disappears.

Darkness takes a defensive stance, hunkering down and ready to absorb any blows that come her way.

Aeda opens fire on the enemy, but they manage to dodge her shots expertly...

Y'shtola once again attempts to raise your group's defense

The Red Brother goes to attack you, but once again, Darkness steps in and takes the blow for you!

"This will do..." The Blue Brother states, before snapping his fingers twice and covering his group in blue aura

The black knight slams his sword into the ground, causing a shadowy sword to appear and cleave your party. You and Eve manage to dodge, but Darkness, Aeda, and Y'shtola aren't so lucky...

The Black Knight begins charging up its power! a powerful aura circling around him!

The Centaur Knight swings his scythe dealing a sickening blow to Darkness! It's so powerful you see a literal Skull and Cross bones appear over her head before she returns to Renee's COMP.

The Centaur Knight takes on a concentrative-stance, a purple aura engulfing his body...

The brother fires a blast of ice at you, but you dodge it easily, not suffering any damage.

The black knight attempts to hit Y'shtola, but she manages to sidestep him easily, dodging both of his attacks.

The Centaur Knight casts dark magic at you, missing the first time, but hitting you the second time!

You fish out some bandages and hurriedly wrap them around Eve, she doesn't stop you, as she instead calls out Oberon to attack the enemy again with Space Wrench.

"Continuing fire." Aeda said as she opened fire on the enemy group, managing to hit them all.

"Here, get close everyone!" Y'shtola called out, as she cast some magic from her staff, your wounds closing up slightly.

"I-I'll call Patchouli!" Holly exclaims, summoning the mage as she floats onto the scene.

"Interesting. Those are extremely evil beings. Light magic should work on them."

The Red Brother snarls at you all and attacks Aeda, dealing a devastating blow to her. Her body crackling a bit with electricity

"I-it hurts..." she mutters weakly

"Now take this!" the blue brother shouts, firing ice magic at Eve. However, Oberon moves in front of her tanking the blows for his queen without a second thought.

The Black Knight attempts to hit you, but you deftly block his attack before pushing him back. After which he engulfs himself in that aura again, building up power.

The centaur knight attempts to hit you with magic, but you dodge it, upon which it turns to Y'shtola and hits her instead!

"Aeda, eat this!" You say throwing her a Ryza burger. Which she...actually eats? You weren't entirely sure that she had a mouth, but no, she does. Well alright then.

You swing your blade at the group of enemies managing to hit them all, sucking away some of their life force.

The same can't be said for your allies. As they all narrowly miss their attacks, Y'shtola being the only outlier since she was focusing on healing your group rather than outright attacking the enemy.

"Die!" The Red brother roars as he hits you dead on. You block the first move, but he fakes you out, making you think he's coming from the left. Instead, he strikes you quickly from the right!

The Blue brother attempts to hit you all with more ice magic...only to miss everyone but Patchouli. The poor girl is just a bit too slow to properly dodge it, even while floating.

The Black Knight goes to attack Y'shtola, but he's far too slow with his swings to hit her, allowing her to dodge out of the way of its strikes.

The Centaur Knight however, manages to hit Eve with its scythe, before taking on that concentrated stance like before.

You once again, swing your blade in a wide arc, slashing the group twice, dealing some serious damage to them all as the enemy group reels backwards from your attack.

Eve follows your lead, calling for that giant fist of hers to slam down on the centaur knight and damn near crush the thing. Aeda opened fire, but it wasn't enough to hit everyone as they dodged or parry the shots.

As for Y'shtola, she once again continued with keeping your team as healed as she could.

"Sattellite Himawari!" Patchouli cried, engulfing the enemy's group in light, hitting them as hard as possible. The two knights in particular look to be extremely hurt from the attack.

"Damned cat!" The red brother yells attacking Y'shtola, and getting a clean hit off of her. To follow up with this, the blue brother attempted to hit her with magic to no avail. Y'shtola dipping and dodging as best as she could.

The Black Knight attacks again, and just barely misses Aeda as she dodges his attacks.

After concentrating, the Centaur knight sends a blast of dark magic at Patchouli, only for her to lazily dodge out of the way. And while that works, she unfortunately does not dodge the scythe swing.

"Tch...d-dammit." Patchouli grunts

You get close to the brother in blue and bring your hand close to him. He screams in pain as fire engulfs his body, causing him to writhe around for a moment.

"Now Space Wrench!" Eve exclaims...only for her attack to sort of fizzle out. Oberon isn't sure what happened either, and Eve is just as confused at the lack of anything happening.

Not helping things is Aeda once again missing her shots as well. Things would probably be worse if Y'shtola didn't keep up her healing. However, Patchouli came through, blasting the enemy with magic again, dealing some serious damage. Especially to the knights.

The Red Brother charges you delivering a sickening hit to you. You nearly double in over in pain, but manage to keep yourself steady, dodging the second hit he goes for, albeit barely.

The Blue Brother once again flubs his magic, which causes him to scowl in irritation.

The Black Knight, taking the opening hits Eve, causing her to growl in pain as she barely moves out of the way in time. Meanwhile, the Centaur Knight hits Aeda with his scythe, causing her to yelp before firing some magic at Y'shtola, knocking her hack as well.

Once again, you set the blue brother on fire, doing your best to try and bring him low, he screams again, rolling around in pain.

"Oberon, guard." Eve commands, as the robot gets in front of her, creating a shield to protect her.

This time, Aeda opens fire and absolutely lays waste to the enemy, hitting them with her guns.

"Y'shtola continues healing you all, doing her best to keep you all going. As for Patchy...

"Satellite Himawari!"

She is just wrecking the enemy with her magic still. You're almost certain the Centaur Knight is done for, with how it uses its scythe to remain steady.

The Red Brother, anger in his eyes continues attacking you, landing a hit on your side. The Blue Brother's magic fails to hit its mark yet again.

The black Knight attempts to hit you, but you easily dodge it. Only for it to start charging up its power again. The Centaur Knight however, gets a great hit off on your group with its magic. You, Eve, and Aeda all take some serious damage. Aeda actually tries to shield you from the damage, but she's too slow, and you end up being knocked out from the hit! It then begins to concentrate as it's done before.

"Heh,  as it should be. Now we handle the others." The Blue Brother sneers.

"H-Hiro!" Holly cries in panic "W-w-we've got to help him!"

"Moronic fool." Eve sighs as she whips out a revival bead and crushes it over your head. You shakily get to your feet, aching

"Ugh...what happened...?" You groan

"Be quiet and get back in the fight. I won't be so generous next time."

While Eve was helping you get your wits about you(while berating you all the while) Aeda had taken it upon herself to once again, blast the enemy to kingdom come as hard as she could. Y'shtola meanwhile, continued her healing, desperately trying to keep everyone alive.

"My magic is running low, please put an end to this already!"

Patchouli goes for another magic attack, but unlike the last attempts, the enemy has grown wise on how to dodge it and she unfortunately misses them.

The Red brother this time aims for Patchouli, having grown tired of her magic. Hitting her dead on and causing her to squeal in pain. Meanwhile, the Blue Brother attempts to hit Aeda, but like before he continually misses his attacks.

The Black Knight unleashes a might blow towards you!

...And completely misses. Moving on.

The Centaur Knight hits his target dead on. That target being...Y'shtola. She's sent flying from the attack, landing a little ways away before getting back to her feet.

"Gods...how powerful is that thing?!"

"Aeda, come back. You've done well." You say calling her back to your COMP, before having Ryza takes her place ready to fight.  After that you swing your blade in a wide arc again, hitting all of your enemies at once. The Centaur knight at the very least looks to be on its last legs, which is good, you want that thing to die already.

"Space Wrench Oberon!"

As Oberon attacks, you watch as the enemy's group gets hit, each of them taking a serious blow. The Centaur Knight finally falls, returning to the Blue Brother's COMP, unable to fight any longer.

Yh'stola continues using her healing to try and keep you all afloat.

"Holly...my magic is spent. I'm done here." Patchouli says casually

"Oh! Um! Okay, I'll just call you back then..." Holly murmured withdrawing Patchouli from the fight.

"I'll handle this. "Sailor Moon, it's all on you!"

In flash of light, Sailor Moon appeared with a smug grin "About time, I was getting bored waiting around."

"D-damn you!" The Red Brother growls striking at Eve in fury

"I...I have to..." The blue brother groaned before healing himself a bit. Feeling better, he weakly tries to hit you with some magic but to no avail.

The black Knight However, manages to get a hit out on Eve as well, who lets out a cry of pain. "I...I can't...anymore..." She says returning to your COMP.

"Dammit!" You growl as Eve disappears from the battle.

You quickly call out Ace to join you in the fight as he smiles smugly "It's about time, come on Hiro, let's show these guys how a pirate plays."

You nod, trying to hit the blue brother...and missing your attack entirely.

Meanwhile, Sailor Moon attacks with a blast of Energy, hitting The enemy hard. Especially the Black Knight

"Take this!" Ryza yells throwing an ice bomb at the red brother. Causing him to be covered in frost to the point that he becomes frozen solid!

Seeing her chance, Y'shtola continues healing

"B-Brother!" The Blue brother screams trying to break his brother out of the ice to no avail.

Meanwhile, the black knight continues attacking, hitting Ryza hard before concentrating again.

"Agh! I-I'm okay!" Ryza groans

As you're going to attack, Ace flies off the handle, moving quicker than you and firing flame bullets form his fingers...only for the Blue brother to see it and move his frozen brother in front of it...thawing him out.

"Oops." Ace mutters as the red brother thaws out, the heat warming him up.

"That's for the help!" The blue brother teases with a sneer

You sigh and just attack the group, using a wide arc with your swing again. Knocking out the Blue Brother with ease.

"Moon Blast!" Sailor Moon roars, firing off more magic at the enemy. She completely destroys the Black Knight, as it returns to the Red Brother's COMP.

"Tch this is..." He glares at you backing up. It's clear that as much as he hates it, he has no choice but to flee. Hefting his knocked out brother onto his back he begins to flee.

"Next time for sure. You'll all DIE."

You decide to let him go. That fight was  pretty tough and your allies aren't exactly in the best of shape.

"We have to go." Alphonse says grabbing your shoulder "Our fight here is done."

You agree with that notion. The convention hall is clear of people, and now you just really want to sleep. With that, you escape the area, getting back to your car and splitting off from Alphonse, who claims that he will be in touch with you soon.
