DB - Tainted Zamasu Part I

That was the name Black gave to the center of his utopia here on the planet of Gaiara.

Together, though the powers of his associates and their various resources, [url=https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ceo21zaWsAAnVRO.jpg]a small town[/url] with [url=https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/evil/images/4/4b/Lord_Baby%27s_Tower.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160901040022]a huge tower[/url] stood at the center of his new world. It would serve as a beacon to all who values the newer ways of mortal existence and a symbol of a new beginning for the cosmos.

He donned[url=https://www.deviantart.com/ssjrose890/art/Crimson-Masked-Saiyan-1-875016568] a newer outfit[/url] then his previous godly clothing; an upper vestment together by a belt with a black upper undershirt and black gi pants. Along with it, he wore wrist guards and boots similar to that of Saiyan armor.

One of the wrist guards held what appeared to be a small watch with a switch on it, a communicator the Tuffle AI within his group had came up with that also acts as a clothing switch. It would prove useful, should he need to traverse to other planets.

His eyes closed and a small teacup resting next to him, he takes that moment to sniff in the air and take in his surroundings. Even after all the time it took to prepare this planet, he still wanted to take everything in. This was everything he wanted... all of those years watching from that small planet as a Kaio and serving as an apprentice to that fool Gowasu...

...has brought him here to his [i]true[/i] place in this multiverse.

It was a soft sound that echoed, the form of someone small and pink reaching fist up and lightly tapping to the wall from within, behind Black and his overseeing of his.. world. Her presence wasn't masked, but was certainly lessened despite as a sentient being in tune with energy, it should have broadcast far and wide among the.. lesser lifeforms.

[2021-05-28 20:43] [user]Shrouding Darkness[/user]: The Kai-In-Saiyan's Body opened his eyes and blinked, though more in a simple matter rather then confusion.

He figured that this might happen sooner or later. While this world was supposedly out of the reach of the other Gods, the cursed Kai of Time would make her way here through whatever means she might have. This was being put up as a simple meeting but even then, he didn't know what to expect.

[color=purple]"You make it seem like I would attempt to assassinate you the moment I turn my head. I assure you that's not the case... and I'm not one to pass up brewed tea."[/color] He swiftly downed the rest of his own tea afterwards...

Chronoa smiled softly and entered, with teapot floating behind her. Once more it was frozen in a time stasis, steam mid-adrift. [color=pink]"Well.. either way, you have a wonderful thing going here. Has it been safe? I mean.. no visits from Lord Beerus, right?"[/color] She waited for Zamasu to set down his cup and poured him a refill from her pot, then summoned herself a small cup.. the half of a three-star Dragon Ball to match the cartoony Shenron Teapot. With herself poured the cup, she cradled it in both hands and took a dainty sip.

[2021-05-28 20:57] [user]Shrouding Darkness[/user]: It was Zamasu's turn to look at the Kai in confusion.
For all he knew, this was the first time encountering the Supreme Kai of Time in the flesh. The only other things had done beforehand was killing Gowasu and Son Family before coming to this time and attacking several people on Earth... before he snapped himself out of the daze the Dark Ki within him put him on and reminded himself of his destiny.

So what was she referring too? [sub]And why does he feel like he should know what she's talking about?[/sub]

He takes his teacup, now filled with her tea, and took a curious sip as he had never tried it before... and immediately lit up in amazement. In fact, a small hint of pink appeared under his eyes, [color=purple]"This is... [b][i]simply delightful[/i][/b]! Never have I had such a brew of tea!"[/color]

He took another sip and basically basked in it before her next question came up, [color=purple]"This world is still within its opening stages but the groundwork has been completed. What was once endless oceans are now islands filled with various biomes and zones representing various worlds. Luckily, that accursed God of Destruction hasn't found his way here and hopefully, it stays that way."[/color]

[color=pink]"I thought you'd enjoy it! I'm down to half of a pot now. I use magic to keep it locked in stasis when not in use, so it remains as fresh and hot as when it was poured. It's a special treat, something brewed for me."[/color] Her gaze turned from her cup of tea back to Zamasu. [color=pink]"Good.. It exists beyond Time right now, with a time of its own. I haven't mentioned it to anyone and I don't plan to. Just keep it enclosed, your own project. As long as you keep it contained, no one will bother you here."[/color]

The Time Kai's dark eyes watered up with a gloss as she smiled with a rare, true deep joy. [color=pink]"Zamasu…"[/color] Chronoa tilted her head, wondering if saying anything would mean something or not.. but she wanted to say it anyway. [color=pink]"Not that you need or want my approval here.. but.. [i]It's beautiful.[/i] You've done a wonderful job! I hope you're as proud of yourself as I am proud of you."[/color] She held out her cup in an honor toast to him, head bowing slightly before she took a pleasing sip.

Zamasu took another sip of the tea before looking over to her in surprise as if... he was expecting something else? He swears that this was their first meeting but he can't help but feel like she wasn't on his side went it came to something else.

Was it his fear that others wouldn't see the beautiful he had come to bring to this world? Or was the possible belittlement he would face for performing such a feat to begin with? He did this because he believed it to be his destiny... and yet, he couldn't help but feel proud himself even more from the small Kai's tears of joy and pride.

Zamasu brings his cup of tea up to hers, his tail flicking behind him as if it was reflecting the emotions running through him. With a bow of his own, he takes another sip of his own tea as well.

[color=purple]"I thank your words as well as your approval.
While I would like to keep this world to myself and those who have made this possible along with me, I know that this is only the beginning. This world and its countless corners will soon be filled with various manners of life, mortals included. Soon, they would be brought here to live amongst the beautiful garden I have long crafted... and, like the lost children they are, they will be lead down the path where they are destined to follow.

I will not force them to change. I will simply offer them a new manner of which they can grow and a new means of which they could pray and revere. I will be their guide... and while I will mainly be their god, I will also be their protector." [/color]

Zamasu had a tail, certainly more Saiyan than shinjin now.. but he had power.. more than just a shinjin but.. like a kai? His words brought out a shift of thought.. You didn't get the chance to study and ascend from Apprenticeship with Gowasu.. You're on the right path, but would you consider speaking with other kai? Because kai do things differently, think differently, there's much that we learn from each other. …Nishi visits me time to time. You two could talk. Shin too."[/color] She.. did not bring up Gowasu again, for now.

But something… gnawed at her.. so she watched him carefully as she spoke.. [color=pink]"…and the Demon Gods. They're guests for now."[/color]

[2021-05-28 21:48] *[user]Shrouding Darkness[/user] took another moment to take a sip of the small kai's delicious tea before taking in her words regarding the other Kais. He wasn't against the idea of seeing what other Kais would think... and considering his other goal once this small project shows him how far he could push himself, it would be a good idea to know all that there is to know.

Though the mention of Gowasu made him take a sigh as a hint of regret formed on his face, [color=purple]"I would... like that actually. It won't be belong before mortals fill the places amongst this planet. I want to know all that I could."[/color]

However, her mention of the Demon Gods did get a rise out of him... just not in the way she was expecting.

Considering the Dark Factor that rested within him, he wasn't sure how she would react if she knew of the individual that gave him his newer look as well as new reservoir of Dark Ki. The Demon Gods were still, in his eyes, cretins that didn't belong in this plane of existence but... he would be hypocritical for admitting that to the small woman due to his current position.

So, there shouldn't be a reason for him to look surprised and horrified at all.

In fact, he dare say that his little action before might have flipped a switch in her mind and now that she was certain of something else...

...Did his ruse... not work? Or was she about to do something else that would test his current position? Either way, he knew that she was becoming aware of something...

You freaked out on me the first time I told you about the Demon Gods and were actually pretty insulting. ..There's a dark cloud over your Personal Time Scroll, and you're reaction about my news of the Demon Gods tells me.. you've had an encounter with Darkness, and you are aware of it. However.. you lost some memories because of it. I don't know.. what will happen if I show you what you've lost.. You may have lost them for a reason, and I don't want it to change you for the worst. But you also deserve to know of what you lost, if you want it. And moreso, to have it back if you want to. So this is your choice."[/color]

The kai settled, sitting on the balcony since she knew that might be a lot to take in, and so could what was potentially to come. [color=pink]"You can also think on it. There's no rush."[/color]

Zamasu... actually remained quiet in regards to her words.

He have had feelings here and there that he should remember various things or like he knew of certain things but he couldn't remember. That boy he encountered back on Earth being one of the main things that stuck with him.

He knew that he made a deal with that individual for this power before he began his path in this time but everything else was a blank. He wasn't sure if the little Kai was pulling his leg or really telling the truth either. So... what does he have to believe?

And how will he know if remembering what he lost will simply put him on another path?

The small fear was hinted within him but... he wasn't going to let him think otherwise. He achieved his goal in making the utopia he wanted... and he still wished to go even further once he was sure it would further succeed.

But if remembering what he couldn't remember would only enhance it or inform him of any mistakes he might have caused as well, he was willing to know them.

[2021-05-28 22:45] [user]Chronoa O Clock[/user]: She had her suspicions about who was responsible. Very few toyed with time and lives, even godly lives and Zamasu was a favorite subject for a certain purple scientist. [color=pink]"Alright.."[/color]

[color=yellow]"If you need me to stop at any point, say so."[/color] Her voice echoed with a soft stillness as Chronoa spread out her hands before her, tea cup floating to the side. She would try to read his expressions and body language too but.. this required concentration, true effort and focus. Golden gears let up the air with the trailing of yellow darts of energy that came together to form the outline of an hourglass. They whirled and buzzed until the outline was fully formed, then opened into a rectangle from its center x. Once fully a rectangle, it acted like a projector and showed Zamasu their meetings.. all of it recorded from their moments in time, voices, words exchanged, and Zamasu's miss of effort in killing the kai. But there Zamasu would see something different, as time slowed down except for Chronoa, who stepped back, walking backwards with a slowed shake of her head in disappointment. His attempt never would have hit, as she certainly had the time to get out of it. Time returned to normal, with Zamasu stabbing the ground where she had been and herself several feet back as if she had teleported. And there was also her encounter with Akane, Chronoa making it clear that she would keep Zamasu's secret of not being Goku for the mortal, for Zamasu's.. student.

The moment that name left his mouth, it felt almost natural. Almost as if he knew that name before. At the same time, he could see himself attacking the Kai of time, wearing a differnt gi and hurling all sorts of murderous words towards her. Like how he acted when he murdered an entire city and village back on Earth...

And then he saw the possible reason when his apparent past self was struggling with something almost internal as well.

What was all of this? Why was all of this happening?
And why... why was he not?

I haven't been able to check in on him as of late.. I don't.. even know exactly how much time has passed on Earth while there's been other.. things that I've had to attend to.. You don't have to tell me what changed, what happened to you.. but if you don't know and want to, I could show you by using your time. Still.. I'm.. ..I'm happy you're here. You're actually doing it. You've found yourself someplace, sometime safe to practice, learn and grow and you're starting small with your own foundation. ..I thought this was what you needed.. and I'm so proud of you. So long as you don't draw the attention of the gods or do anything that compromises my duty, I'll keep you shielded from time's sight with a record scroll of here that's all your own."[/color] Internally she hoped that Zamasu wouldn't turn this into another Prison Planet ordeal like Fu had..

Akane was present the group that fought him on Earth... and he outed himself right there amongst the carnage he caused before proceeding to nearly kill him on the spot. He doesn't know how long has passed since then but... will he ever bring himself to forgive his foolish teacher? Especially after everything he had taught him and after all the growth they had gone through together?

....For what its worth, he hoped he didn't.
He deserved better, the one mortal being that shown him what it was like to be a teacher... and in some cases, something else.

[color=purple]"That's just one piece of memory that you've shown me, I take it. Which means there's others that I might have forgotten." [/color]The man rubbed his face with his spare hand before downing the rest of the tea she had poured for him...

We're not supposed to, but it does happen when they become assets to us, assets to what we create, assets who.. could also destroy what we've made. When faced with that, we have choices. And those choices also open us up to the consequences of them.. including us being harmed in ways we didn't know were possible. ..Like you stating Akane found out in the worst manner. ..Like it or not, that mortal is now part of you, an extension of what you've been teaching and as.. well.. Demigra's own apprentice also puts it.. an extension of your heart. Memories or not, you won't be whole until you deal with that wound."[/color] Chronoa gestured to him with a hand. [color=pink]"In order to read the Time of where you've been and what happened, I would have to go there with you. But if there's more you don’t remember besides what happened there, besides what I was directly involved in, we could go to Earth and I can compare your current scroll to Earth's scroll and find memory discrepancies that way. They tend to show up with a haze, but still visible to me. Time like that cannot be erased by others, only shrouded."[/color]

After all, my associates are currently scouring the multiverse at the moment, seeing who would be willing to populate this world of their own free will. They won't be back for some time now so... I would say I have time on my hands."[/color]

Zamasu was more then willing to know all that he was forgetting, hints of guilt and regret filling his features at this point. He didn't turn different with the flip of a dime, that he knew for sure when he found himself taking this path. He felt that something happened to make him change like this and that means he had forgotten another lifetime of growth, one that he spent on Earth...

...so if he were to remember it all and learn from it, then he would be whole again.

And yet there was.. troubling inside. The gods were being fixed.. but what about those who set such things into motion?.. Akane? Kayel? Fu? Was there.. any fixing to them?..

Chronoa turned her gaze back to Zamasu with a firm nod. [color=pink]"Then we'll do just that. Soon. I'm afraid I can't go to Earth just yet.. I'm already there in a time overlap. It's complicated, but I try to not be in a place and time that I'm already at due to a divergence and how time acts differently across streams. Are there any triggers? Or things that you feel you should know something about but don't? get odd feelings around or when discussing? That could be a good start for scrolling bookmarks."[/color]

I figured I would instantly gain the power of Goku's body and even remember a large fragment of his style of fighting while including such of my own within it but during my supposed first battle, it felt as though I already knew... that the strength was already mine as if I already built it up.

And it's not just that. During that memory you shown me, I've seen my past self struggling with something as if the body was rejecting me. When I see that, I couldn't help but feel relieved as if... something about my latest position was influenced because of it. I feel as thought I should know why... and why that boy means so much to me."[/color]

You wished for Goku's body, but you never wished him dead, gone, extinguished or your dragon wasn't precise enough for you. …My guess?.. You gave away some of your godlihood and shinjin light in order to.. accept the darkness that would elevate you and.. and… ..tear apart what it could of Goku, starting with the physical elements like memories. ..Unless you made an even worse deal and had.. his very essence obliterated.. kai, shinjin, makai, demons.. No matter what you call them, it's not an ability we have. Only a God of Destruction can do that.. ..or the God of Death.. or King Yemma has the authority when a soul is too.. damaged. …We're looking into that sort of thing lately."[/color] How strange that such a topic would come up with Zamasu of all people? Chronoa's conversations with the others were leading to a lot of new information and understanding of workings beyond Time, but it all tied together.. even with those not directly involved… ..or.. did it?..

[color=pink]"Zamasu… …who you made a deal with… ..who was it?"[/color] She had to hear the words, had to hear the name… Would it not be him?.. Then who else could it be if not Fu?… She shut her eyes and seemed braced for the answer.
[2021-05-28 23:58] [user]Shrouding Darkness[/user]: At first, he didn't want to reveal who it was but after everything he had seen and his thought process now, he didn't see the need to conceal it any longer. He made a pact with the devil to get on this path, despite who did it.

He felt it. He made the decision to do this, no one else, in some desperate act that he couldn't remember. So...

[color=purple]"A boy with glasses and a sword around his waist. I believe his name was... [b]Fu[/b]."[/color]
[00:01] [user]Chronoa O Clock[/user]: And her head bowed, slender brows knitting. She really had to hear his name to accept it. [color=pink]"Fu… ..What was he like? Did he seem.. more like a curious boy or.. just.. describe his personality to me, please? And what was he wearing?"[/color] If she couldn't track down the When in time this happened, she could at least correlate it with what she knew.. [color=pink]"What color were his eyes?.. What was his hair like?.. Do you remember.. what you gave him in return?"[/color]

Zamasu tried to remember everything of that one encounter but even with that he was drawing a blank. He knows that Fu was an associate but he didn't know why he went to him in the first place. If anything, it was rather annoying to him...

[color=purple]"I don't know why I went to him in the first place. All he did was grant me control over Dark Ki and regrew Goku's tail. Perhaps this power over Dark Ki came from something else but that's just about all I could remember."[/color]

[color=pink]"Fu is someone I know well. He went through a.. very rough time. I'm trying to figure out if he did this during one of his.. rough times.. and to which extent he went for this to succeed.."[/color]

He removed both of his purple-colored Potaras and held them out to the small kai. They were with him since... well, he doesn't know for sure at this point. He wasn't even sure if they were the same Potara he had stolen from Gowasu or were they something else...

Though, he was sure that they might give something of a clue for her.
[00:25] [user]Chronoa O Clock[/user]: As he offered them out, her gaze fell to see them.. [b]purple[/b]. Chronoa almost went to take them, but hesitated and pulled her hand back. There was.. nothing she could do. Both hands came together resting at her chest as she stared at those potara earrings. [color=pink]"..You've fallen, Zamasu.. ..Your potara are supposed to be green. That is the status symbol of a Supreme Kai. It's not just a matter of rank, but this means your connection with your universe has been obliterated.. and.. and you can't step foot on the Sacred World of the Kaoishin again. …You've either lost your Inner Light or it's been Clouded. Proof of this is in how you heal another. If your energy contains darkness or is Darkness, you've fully fallen. If your energy is no longer white to heal but contains a haze, you're in process with the chance to go either way.. I don't know the how's but.. that's one way to test."[/color]

It felt like his heart was completely shattered on the spot. His destiny, his mission, everything he had tried to achieved seemed to have stopped in their tracks in the midst of all of this horrific news.

He was a fallen Kai, one that allowed darkness to invade him in his bid for a perfect world. He knew the Dark ki within him would change him but he never imagined that it would make him fall this far. He figured that his divine light would somehow survive but...

Zamasu already had a lot on his plate, concerning the gaps of memory he has yet to fill in but with this whole revolution weighting down on him even more, he was wondering if he could even handle it all. He put himself in this situation after all so why shouldn't he suffer for it?
