Somewhere in the world is the Floating Island. It had been several months since the surface of the sea was grazed due to an incident on this island.
However, a swelling activity occurred deep in the South Sea seabed, making an island suddenly show up. This was due to the power of the Master Emerald “Pillar” on the Floating Island, the product of the resulting increased crustal movement. Moreover, the island had changed its appearance at a tremendous speed in a short time.
The “Pillar’s” energy had transformed an island that was just a bunch of rocks into a green paradise.

“There’s something at that place…”
Knuckle, guardian of the Master Emerald “Pillar”, questioned the sudden changes on the island that continued without interruption.
In the remote past, the remnants of the legendary civilization disappeared in an instant due to the “Stone of Power” going rampant; were they laying dormant on that island?
“Something must be amplifying the “Pillar’s” power.”
With that in mind, Knuckle, who had a sense of responsibility as a guardian, went to the island.

However, he wasn’t the only one who thought so.
That infamous genius scientist Dr. Eggman was the one, who had already embarked on an investigation on the island.
And so, Eggman discovered a small ring carved with ancient characters. That very island, it turned out that it was apart of the lost civilization.
Furthermore, he discovered a Super Ring alike to the ones on the Floating Island. It was used by the legendary civilization before it was lost, this ancient Special Ring.

“With this, I can finally reach the Master Emerald again!”
Eggman was pleasantly surprised by his discovery, but the “Stone of Power”, which the Special Ring should lead to, had already been moved to the Floating Island by the gods that descended from the heavens.

However, the mysterious space created by the Special Ring, full of “Pillar” energy, was turned into a ring-shaped crystal called the “Chaos Ring”.
“If I uncover the secret of this Special Ring, then I can find the secrets of the rings Sonic and his friends possess, and summon the Master Emerald as well!”
With that in mind, Eggman hurriedly built a fortress on the island. This resort area was called the “Newtrogic High Zone”, swirling with Eggman’s terrifying plan.

And when Knuckle arrived near the island, it was all too late. Eggman had succeeded in crystalizing the energy. This artificial ring was called the “Dark Ring”. Furthermore, he developed the “Ring Power” that creates a space-time connection between rings.
“So long as I have this, they can’t do a thing. They won’t be able to get in my way! This time, the whole world will be miiine!”
Eggman’s ambitions are steadily being realized.

A traveler who finds it worthwhile to travel around the world. He can turn around difficult situations, a show of his amazing abilities; he is gentle and doesn’t like being rough. He arrived at the island by chance and got caught up in the commotion…

Boundless cheeriness and quite the optimist. However, he actually has a stronger sense of companionship than anyone else, and has the strength and kindness to face any difficulty. Believing in the existence of God, he came to the island after hearing news about the miraculous island.

He’s the first insect to exceed the speed of sound, so he’s highly proud, and has a personality that can’t be kept quiet if he’s denied. What’s more, he flew to the new island in search for new flowers, the self-proclaimed “World’s Fastest Bug”.

~Dr. Eggman~
The notorious-as-ever genius scientist. Now, on the island of the lost civilization, he zeroed in on the ancient Special Rings; they are said to be able to summon them, try to get his hands on the Master Emerald. Of course his purpose is to become ruler of the world.

~Metal Sonic Revised~
A Sonic-type robot made by Dr. Eggman, his main and sub CPU were recovered from its body broken in its previous confrontation with Sonic. Replaced with a spare body, it has been reborn with Dark Ring power. With its newly-installed Plasner, it is possible for it to use a technique called the Plasma Pulse Attack from its chest.
