  1. ANONYMOUS MALAYSIA - Group Description
  2. https://www.facebook.com/groups/anon.malay/
  3.
  4. Who are We?
  5. We are a group of people linked by nothing but a common goal. We have no leaders, and no guiding force. We are a 'hive mind', a liquid entity.
  6.
  7. We wish to shine a light upon that which hides in the shadows, to use our unique nature and structure to fight something which has for so long flown below the radar. Our very nature dictates that we do this in the open, using publicly traceable and verifiable information. By all means, keep your skeptical switch turned on. There are those who would pose as us, and there are those who would discount us-- but we know that nothing could be more powerful than the truth, and that is all we wish to show you.
  8.
  9. There are those of us who fly the flag of Anonymous, and there are those who work hard quietly - never speaking loudly of what we do. There are those who wish to hijack our name for their own, and in this issue in particular, there are those who will try to turn our own nature against us. This is irrelevant to both us, and the issues at hand. Anonymous will continue, regardless of attack or impedance-- we are the many.
  10.
  11. We are from all walks of life, all ages, all races. We are your medics, your teachers, your students, your chefs, your children, your family.
  12.
  13. We are ruthlessly peaceful, much to the Church of Scientology's dismay. Our nature determines what we do-- collectively we are clever enough to know what is, and isn't best. We are aware that violent, or illegal action is both pointless and undermines the efforts of people like Mark Bunker and Tory Christman who have been fighting this evil for over 30 years. Anybody can call themselves Anonymous and ask Anonymous to do things, anybody can post information claiming to be from 'anonymous' -- but the body politic will ignore, or in the case of aggravation actively decry bad ideas and wrong actions.
  14.
  15. This is the beauty of what we are. We can not be infiltrated, there is nothing to infiltrate-- only a sea of ideas.
  16.
  17. So, why the masks? Originally, on the internet, we were anonymous as a byproduct of an idea. It was just fun, just something to keep the lulz rolling. As the community evolved, and grew, anonymity prevailed in some corners-- creating a unique cultural landscape. A group, a collective of sorts lacking the rules and confines of any group, community, or organisation seen before. A constantly shifting mass of persons, without restraint or particular motivation (apart from lulz).
  18.
  19. ..So why then, did this transfer into real life? In part, for protection. Numerous Anonymii have reported being followed, or being photographed after protesting, or even buying V-masks. While we believe that 'noisy surveilance' is simply an intimidation tactic, remaining masked and faceless negates any perceivable risk. It also serves to show our unified stance. Our faces, ages, races-- they are irrelevant. We stand together, for the better of the whole.

  23. What do we believe in?
  24.
  25. * Free speech
  26. * Freedom of expression
  27. * Freedom of religion
  28. * Freedom from exploitation
  29.
  30. Why are we against the Church Of Scientology?
  31.
  32. This is probably the most asked question and probably the most complex.
  33.
  34. However, firstly we must stress that we are not against the beliefs of Scientology. We believe that people have the right to believe whatever he or she decides. Religions are belief systems, a way of perceiving and decoding the world around us. However, one must always make the distinction between the belief system and the human, fallible institution built around it; especially when those institutions generate a power structure that acts both inwards into the community and outwards toward society.
  35.
  36. These human constructs can be criticized, just as Roman Catholicism was once lambasted for 'covering-up' child abuses. This does not mean the belief system is being attacked or ridiculed. The observation of the religious institution differs in no way to the observation of any other social institution. We have observed the institution at length. We have formed an opinion about it and decided to take a course of action. This does not mean we are against the followers of Scientology. We are against the operations, management and organisation of the Church of Scientology that chooses to exploit its followers, harass its critics and demand internet censorship whenever a truth is posted.
  37.
  38. It considers religion, the belief, the faith to be not an end, as it should, but a means, a mere tool. Indeed, it may be considered degrading towards its own religious base and all those who believe in it. This humiliating manipulation alone is enough to consider it insulting at best, malign at worst. But the Church's crimes do not stop there. We believe it has attacked freedom of expression routinely; it has attacked freedom of religion by going against those who follow the faith but not the institution; it has attacked freedom of movement, of association, of thought.( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Zone_(Scientology) )
  39.
  40. Furthermore, we believe that it has attacked the right to life, the right to the pursuit of happiness, and other fundamental human rights. You will find ample proof of these facts on this site and the many others we link to. The Church of Scientology has a psychopathic disregard for the life and well-being of others. Under this light it becomes clear that not opposing it would not be merely cowardly -- it would be immoral.
  41.
  42. We also believe that The Church of Scientology has been proven harmful to society, and to its own members. Its institutional purpose is, as stated by its founder, its own prevalence and expansion, mainly in an economic way:
  43. Hubbard's plan for world domination states that Scientology will be successful by, "Bringing continuous pressure to bear on governments to create pro-Scientology legislation of groups opposing Scientology [...] The action of bringing about a pro-Scientology government consists of making a friend of the most highly placed government person one can reach, even placing Scientologists in domestic and clerical posts close to him and seeing to it that Scientology resolves his troubles and case".
  44.
  45. That statement, put into action in Germany by Scientologists, is why Scientology is not recognised as a religion there, leading to John Travolta's impassioned pleas before Congress to sanction Germany for religious oppression. The German government claimed Scientology is largely a profit-hungry group that seeks world domination and threatens democracy, sentiments echoed by The New York Times, which in an investigative report on Scientology, noted that critics worldwide regarded Scientology as "a cult and money machine intended to bilk the faithful". ( Interrupted: Insanity Chic in Babylon by Andrew Breitbart, Mark C. Ebner ) More worryingly, we can see this is beginning to happen in the UK. (see the leaked video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj4wqRNXRds )
  46.
  47. We protest in order to inform the general public of the injustice, exploitation and crimes Scientology perpetrates. By doing so, we are not attacking anyone's beliefs, but defending human rights.
  48.
  49. Why stop Scientology in Malaysia?
  50.
  51. Because Scientology is a scam, and uses money to influence its followers. Scientology uses the concep of "pay to convert" which is not allowed by the Malaysian government. Also, Islam being the national religion, forbids apostasy by Muslims, and Scientology endorsed forced apostasy. They'll pick up random citizens across the streets and force them to take an e-meter. Such practise is forbidden in Islam & other religions, and we as Malaysians respect each others belief without forcing our beliefs into others. We do not support forced conversions!
  52.
  53. Scientologists have made a Scholastics Institute here in Kuala Lumpur. It is located in Brickfields, and has recruited a number of Malaysians into Scientology. However, Scientology operations are being conducted here in Malaysia, and the Church of Scientology is known to blackmail governments in order to recognise the CoS as a religion. Scientology is also known to disconnect members of the church from their family members, and such practise is disallowed by all Malaysians, since family is a part of our cultue.
