As the aether slammed around it did nothing to Luke himself - But the shadows SLAMMED into Astra and crushed her down, the feel and break and snap of bones possibly there, the wall so inviting in retribution for Astra preventing more death to follow in his wake.  Lazne skewered, almost poetically if Luke had cared to notice.  Tai staggered but there was even more that Luke wanted to do as he watched them fall and stagger and break beautifully.

And then the aether flared like a column and all it did was hurt his own allies, a riotous laugh as he waited before simply twisting his freed sword and bringing the hilt down to smash, break, and crack his arms.  Shadows swirled at his feet and slammed up, spearing Kyuu to end his control and shatter his focus.

Frost was tossed then, a pile and then Luke whistled and hummed, the shadows pulling and moving so that their final destination was arrived at: the darling Doctor's office.  Tai's arm was removed with a savage savage sawing of the magitek and spine controls, frame and pulled apart so that it was hard to recover.  And then he destroyed their pearls as he slammed them down, looking at Lazne and anyone else awake before his shield was put away, a powerful blow striking so that not only were they bleed and broken in limb and torso, but also unconscious.  Blood pooled in the stones and ran down around them, Kyuu and Lazne atop each other as a spear kept Kyuu slightly aloft.

Held aloft in Tai's arm was a hand-written note.
