  1. [15:03] Strolling through the western half of Dawn, an odd place with idyllic mansions scattered about the forests. Where other parts of Dawn where neat, orderly, industrial. This area was without a doubt a place of nobility, even paved roads lead to the various mansions.
  2.
  3. As they came to a particularly old mansion, the paint a fading white, tarnished golden trim about the frame. Ascalon gave a wave, indicating a freshly built bench. It's fresh coat of paint at odds with the structure behind it.
  4.
  5. "Take a seat, we'll discuss in the open air. Ah, the manor itself is the White Gold. It's been the home of my family for generations."
  6.
  7. The young Zanders reiak lines thrummed as he spoke about the manor. Clear pride touching his features, worn down it might be. It was still the home of his lineage. For that even if it fell to rot that same reverence would exist.
  8.
  9. Ascaon notable waited patient until they'd taken their seat. Outside or not, they where a guest on his property. Certain traditions of hospitality needing to be adhered to. Though once they'd taken their seat. He would as well.
  10.
  11. "Now, you want to know about Azrael? I'm more than willing to tell you. Hopefully, his compassion and rage will give you some strength in subduing your troubles."
  12.
  13. There was no reason to mention what those troubles where. They both knew what those troubles where. With a breath he'd roll into the next part.
  14.
  15. "Azrael in the days long past ruled creation in the absence of Kraus. Who'd built the world in cruel faith, wishing to see his creations suffer endlessly. Azrael for a time watched, he served, he obeyed. Throughout all of this he saw the countless famines, plagues, wars, deaths that Humanity suffered. With each widow, orphan, death, his wings darkened, hue by hue. Watching and doing nothing to save us, to save Humanity was destroying him. Azrael was no fool, he saw what was happening. In a bid to push back the suffering of Kraus' design he rebelled."
  16.
  17. Taking a breath he'd look up towards the sky for a moment, humming slightly as he tried to shift through the visions of the past he'd seen personally. Through the lessons he'd learned in Alteros, from his father, from Vinny. They all blended together in his mind, congealing into a cohesive thought.
  18.
  19. "Thus sparking the divine wars, he'd been betrayed by Kraus you see, the creator promised a better world. Yet, any fool can look around and see the evil spawned of desperation and fear of death. The wars stretched form one corner of creation to another. It was during these battles that the Divine Art of Azrael was forged, with his feathers darkening to a raven hue Azrael knew he needed to make a last gamble to save us all. With his power's stretched he pioneered the path towards true immortality. It was during this time that we, Oscuri, where crafted as well. Warriors to aid in ushering in salvation to Humanity."
  20.
  21. He'd take a breath as he pondered what to say next. That was a general overview of the divine war as he saw it. So, without missing a beat he'd roll into the tenets of modern Azraelism. Holding up a finger, adding one with each new tenet.
  22.
  23. "Though we lost the divine wars, we know that we can still save the world if we work hard enough. We know that this world is flawed, created with imperfection and suffering in mind. It will forever be filled with the evil spawned from Death. So we must fight to change it, fight with our words, with our swords, with our very lives. For what is a death for one of Azrael's chosen but a gateway to life eternal? For in his third coming at the dawn of the next Divine War all who die in his name shall return as his Undead. Immortal and free."
  24.
  25. The more he'd talked the more the reika pulsed in his ley-lines, a bit of a manic look crossing his features. He knew that modern day Azraelism was flawed but that was because the practioners where wicked not Azrael. As he finished speaking the tenets he'd breath deeply shifting his gaze towards the Grey Church up upon the hill. With a hand extended he'd point towards it.
  26.
  27. "The Grey Church is the faith of Neries, you might have seen them. Monotone'd horned people who travel about the world. They worship the Dreamer, a being who'd in Azraels light slain something foul. Consuming it's essence, in turn ascending to fight the great battle with Azrael against Kraus' design. Now, they teach five additionaltenets. First, Pursue progress. for it is needed to save the world and reclaim that wich was lost. Second Pursue truth, for we must know of our fellow Humans in order to show them the light of Azrael, third stability, we must all work together in this life in order to save the world. Man fighting man serves no purpose but to perpetuate Kraus' cruelty. Temperence, we must always temper our beliefs least we fall into the pitfalls and mimic Kruas' cruelty, and finally freedom being true to yourself and your beliefs living life in Azraels glory."
  28.
  29. He'd recited these from a more recent memory, mistakes would be clear if one was a devoted follow of the Dreamer. Even perhaps heresy as tenets from mad prophets long dead echoed throughout but this was what he'd been told. In turn it was what he'd tell the struggle Lailah. He'd settle his Emerald hues blazing with the righteous reika upon her, then shifting towards the rest of his audience.
  30.
  31. "Now, I'm not a priest but I will strive to answer questions pondered during my tale."
  32. (Ascalon Zanders)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [15:10] Arlei sighed, leaning against the side of the house. He wasn't a believer in Azrael in the slightest; in fact, his God, Ryujin, was directly against his necromantic ideology, but he couldn't help but admire the drive he had behind him.
  36.
  37. He was fighting for a good cause, yes, but in Arlei's eyes, he was doing it in a pretty negative way. He knew next to nothing about Azrael's perfected necromancy asides from folklore and tales told to him by Ascalon and Zethra; perhaps if he ever set eyes on it, he might be a little more lenient towards it all, but as it stood, it was Arlei's job to defend the spirit realm and its integrity; it was Ryujin's will.
  38.
  39. After a brief conversation with Lirien, amidst Ascalon's religious preaching, he waited there against the wall for Ascalon to finish speaking, before piping up himself.
  40.
  41. "Ah, hello there, new person. I'm Arlei, who might you be?" he said, a smile adorning his features.
  42. (Arlei Therus)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [15:21] It was an elongated answer explaining the beginning of Azrael, the Fallen Angel. Although she had the collection of the Patron's information within the rucksack she carried, Lailah wanted to hear it through an Oscuri and gather their word on it firstly.
  46.
  47. Thus, She flips to the back of her book, titling a few pages before the very end under 'Azrael, The Fallen Angel - The Necromantic Creator'.
  48.
  49. Each piece of information is written quickly as delivered by Ascalon.
  50.
  51. Between his speech and his actions, the girl flipped between pages, adding more additional information to Ascalon Zander's page. Details of his appearance, clothing presently worn, along with a sketch of the man towards the bottom in a fine, rough drafted sketch.
  52.
  53. And each time he spoke again, she returned to the page about Azraelism. The girl looks up, shifting her gaze in the direction of the Grey Church that was now being explained. A few pages before that of Azrael was written about the 'Grey Church - Neries Faith'.
  54.
  55. But as she continued to jot down each piece of information in that notebook of hers, giving little attention firstly until addressed, her eyes shoot up eventually, glancing between the two males.
  56.
  57. "Huh..?" Her emerald eyes drift to Arlei briefly before flipping to the page after the Oscuri's. Eyes gaze upon the blank white sheet, adding his name within the header too, but before she bothers to scribble in the details of her person too, she answers his inquiry.
  58.
  59. "Lailah Elisheva, or Hecate Ultovex. I prefer the former, but in Dawn I am and will be addressed by the latter.." A side glance given often as she writes in now the details of his person.
  60. (Lailah Elisheva)
