  29. In the years to come, certain parties would look back on this era with a bit of amusement, but largely, irritation. A pureblooded Sith shot up through the ranks of the academy at Korriban thanks in no small part to his anomalously strong abilities, and this of course got him a great bit of attention. Of course there will always be those in the Sith empire that would seek to defang a potential future rival or to sway them to their side, and so he was given impossible tasks - work hand in hand as an Imperial Intelligence agent while also undergoing his apprenticeship under Darth Baras.
  30.
  31. And yet, despite expectations that he would fall, his work as a troubleshooter was performed almost flawlessly. Naturally he gathered a retinue about himself, a motley crew indeed, and executed his duties, his abilities in the Force growing all the while. The reward for a job well done is more work, however, and he found himself also being pressed into the role of inquisitor by his master rather than being left to do as he otherwise would. And yet, he still was able to hold his head above water and carry out the tasks demanded of him - if only just. A task that otherwise should have been impossible.
  32.
  33. Betrayal is of course the natural way of the Sith, and in time his master betrayed him rather than permit him to grow more powerful. The writing was on the wall, however, with how impossible the assigned workload was and the difficulty of the missions were to one who should have only just graduated from the academy, with next to no proper intelligence training. But he survived the betrayal, and in so doing came to the attention of the Emperor's Hands and the Emperor himself. Rechristened as the Emperor's Wrath, he began dealing with any issues that the master of the Sith empire would demand, starting with his own former master.
  34.
  35. This was a much longer and more convoluted thing than anyone would have expected, and in the end actually took a number of months, which were interspersed with him taking care of business for Imperial Intelligence as well as dealing with bounty hunters at times; it was quite irritating to him to deal with them, but of course when one is a Sith Lord and an II agent, there's just no way you can avoid making enemies. And of course many of these enemies are more than happy to hire intermediaries to take you in, alive or dead (and preferably dead). In time, success was finally had, and the Sith in question was able to at last have his revenge on his former master.
  36.
  37. Naturally, after that all tapered down and things slowed to only merely being hectic, rather than terminally helter-skelter, things had to continue developing in insane ways. At least he had a well sized retinue to depend on, and a ship that could house them all with room to spare (though they were quite confused as to how his Phantom was larger on the inside), but without them it would have been difficult to manage the rapid-fire matter of crisis after crisis. The insanity with the Revanite cult, the trapped Revan himself, an army of HK-51 droids, the Dread War, the myriad issues with the Hutt cartel, the Infinite Army, the rise and fall of the Empire of Zakuul, the Emperor turning on his own empire and trying to drain the life of the entire galaxy...
  38.
  39. Really, if anyone found out that one day this Sith had enough and planted explosives across a dozen planets that all but decapitated the Sith empire to send it into a second civil war, it wouldn't be surprising. A person can only take so much before they snap.
  40.
  41. And this Sith Lord was so much happier just being the Librarian.
