  14. View of the forest.
  15. A biting cold fills the air, seeping away from a healing shrine of Manteekan nearby. There is the lightest of airs blowing through the locale. The forest becomes sparse along this area of the hillside, scattered apples and chestnuts gripping the slope with their deep roots. To the north, the vista of Glomdoring can be seen through the branches. Green and brown treetops crowd together, dappled with thin wisps of white mist. A mature rowan tree stands proudly here. Hanging down from a branch, a dark crystal shaped like a seven-pointed star beckons spirits to gather here. Casting darkness all around, a shadow totem thrusts up from the ground, chilling the air. Caught in preternatural stillness, glittering spiderweb streamers lace the area with wyrden beauty. Emitting more shadow than light, a tenebrous lantern burns here with wyrden fervour.
  16. You see exits leading east and northwest.
  17.
  18. You lean on a mature rowan tree seeking consolation.
  19. You think to yourself: **a deep ache, the rustling and creaking of your siblings a distant sound, but there**.
  20.
  21. Quietly, you say, "Well, I suppose I am going to say goodbye soon. But... if you want, you can stay in my manse, yes?"
  22.
  23. You think to yourself: **the rowan creaking and shifting to the forefront, a faint sense of agreement**.
  24. You smile softly at a mature rowan tree.
  25.
  26. You have emoted: Cheliyi leans against a mature rowan tree's trunk, watching the sun rise. "I guess... I will not be alone, no. But I will miss home."
  27.
  28. You close your eyes and inhale deeply, absorbing the scent of your surroundings.
  29. You think to yourself: **the deep scents of loam, the morning mist and sweet scent of decaying leaves...**.
  30. You let loose a long breath from your lungs, exhaling slowly.
  31. The sharp sound of a twig snapping echoes behind you.
  32.
  33. Glancing up at the rowan's canopy, you say, "But you understand, yes? That I never wanted to leave you behind? It is only because the others are being so... well. They are being themselves. I guess I have just changed, and become myself."
  34.
  35. You think to yourself: **a fading sense of hurt, as well as faint amusement, I never thought you would leaf me behind**.
  36.
  37. You heave an almighty groan at the world.
  38. You chuckle softly, your frilled tail flicking idly with amusement.
  39. You snuggle close to a mature rowan tree and lean comfortably on it.
  40.
  41. You have emoted: Cheliyi returns her gaze to the view as the sun rises, smiling faintly.
  42. Softly, you say, "Later. But first, it most sort out, yes. Love you, brother."
  43.
  44. You think to yourself: **a sense of warm love, something you haven't felt in a while. I won't leave you behind, lilypad. Not again.**.
  45.
  46. Curiously, you say, "Why do you keep calling me that? You didn't used to, before."
  47.
  48. You think to yourself: **brief hesitation, something you've never sensed in the old tree, but you just feel resigned. It doesn't matter.**.
  49.
  50. You have emoted: Cheliyi reaches up and gives one of the rowan branches a friendly squeeze.
  51. Closing her eyes, you say, "Alright."
  52.
  53. Continuing the hunt for his dark mate, Father Sun presses forward in his journey, lowering himself in the sky yet still casting even, full light upon the land.
  54.
  55. You let loose a long breath from your lungs, exhaling slowly.
