  2. Alright so u gotta face the ninja
  3. It’s not the worst thing in the world you just gotta see what they’re doing and try and work off it and know/execute your follow ups and edgeguards
  4. Keys in the mu: cc, force sheik to jump, be wary of committal jumps, have strong flowchart, you win air to air hard, avoid cc
  5. Vast majority of sheiks (read: all but maybe 5 in the world) are going to play a fairly stagnant style vs you so it’s up to you to figure out what exactly that is and choose
  6. If you play a sheik who is staying grounded to maintain her defensive options it’s important to understand her options
  7. Things to look for:
  8. Sheik walking/wd or otherwise maintaining full grounded options
  9. Goals: bait/cc ftilt, punish/avoid needles, get her to jump or otherwise aggress with threat of punishing her laggy defensive options
  10. You can often jump around if you aren’t jumping at her pretty safely. She can’t really follow you into the air without risking getting just obliterated with no real recourse so most won’t follow you
  11. Things to look for: Sheik dashing forward
  12. Counter: basic strong generic defense is a retreating stomp, she can bait it out but this will beat the vast majority of them. Also, could just run up grab if you are confident in your read on their movement.
  13. Thing to look for: sheik fairs your shield
  14. Fair mix up game: if you shield di forward or she just spaces it poorly the basic mix up is she dashes away/spot dodges to beat grab and anything else will lose to a cc grab for the most part, at least at lower %s
  15. Counter: WD OOS while holding down during the WD. If she does a tilt or jab or something you’ll get a free cc grab. If not, note her choice for the next time it happens and go for a read. E.g. double fair means you’ll get a nair on an air borne sheik which is often times a stock, spot dodge means you can stomp etc
  16. Basic mu notes:
  17. Sheik cannot jump at you and it’s often unsafe for you to jump at her. If she is, aerial her back and kill her
  18. Realize her grounded options are super limited vs you on the ground/cc besides grab so it’s very limited/simple mix up game if you play properly
  19. Execute punish flow chart strong, rinse repeat edge guards and understand basic/simple follow ups
  20. If you get grabbed above about 20% you can just hold up and in on grey stick and up on c stick to get out of jab resets for free, no sdi needed. Useful for making tech chases more difficult. Can just hold up if you get grabbed after ~25%
  21. Tech up b does work vs down smash, you can live if she down smashes you near ledge on recovery just do not wall jump tech, only normal wall tech (don’t hold up before you go for the up b)
