- One undead horde descends upon another.
- Blood has been drawn on both sides, and now the vampires have come to claim their own toll. They strike from darkness, quick and unerring; the attack comes directed and targeted; the aggressors upon Dawn clearly act with purpose as they assail the Valmasian lands.

- The Adjudicator was already aware of the incoming attack from the vampires.
- Before the Vampires even passed deeper into Valmasian territory, they were already met with immediate resistance, one that spelled a clear struggle of getting what they want- the Undead armies flooded from within, one after another, and while these creatures could deal with Undead relatively easy, soon there was a backup.
- Actual magi to fight against.
- Among them, Arthur. As much as he's tried to find Lucien on the battlefield, especially considering the interesting communication they shared recently, it appears his opponent was to be Corinth, the one who's slain Rea. The scarlets glow beneath his mask's shade, and while expression is not seen, it's easy to tell that he's tense.
- "I'd say you're welcome here, but I'd rather wipe your face on dirt."
- "Where's Lucien? I have some catching up to do."
- The Storm roared above them. The undead that were meaning to serve Adjudicator as his personal guard were summoned to his side, and before Corinth could answer much, he exclaims.
- "No matter. You vampires are the same, anyway."
- (Arthur Rowan)
- The pale man watches quietly as the hordes swarm to engage the Valmasian forces. Two separate breeds of the servants of those who toy with life beyond death. An amusing thought. Or it would be, given most other circumstances, most other individuals.
- The pale man does not smile at the irony. He does not display emotion, barely appearing as a living thing, his posture statuesque. But at the sight of a hated enemy, he moves forwards, drawing his long curved blade. A cape, slung over his shoulders, moves with a life of its own. The cloak of Rea Valenta, corrupted by the vampire's magic.
- His dark gaze stares towards Arthur, his eyes glinting their eerie red. A wave of hostile emotion passes over the Knight. Powerful enough to drop a lesser magi, symptoms of intense nausea from sheer horror, anger. For Arthur? Likely not as much of an effect. Enough to give him pause, perhaps, enough to give him an idea what kind of anger burns behind that placid visage.
- "You... you have taken what is mine." A calm voice, barely audible over the sounds of battle. "I will have it back."
- His sword is brought up, directed in front of his face. It's a traditional salute, the blade sweeping down and to the right. His fist clenches, and blood coalesces into a swirling maelstrom around him, half-formed nightmares shifting from shape to shape. A hound's skull. An outstretched hand. A screaming woman's face.
- "No Baron today. You stand before Lord Justicar Corinth of House Invidia, brother of a murdered sister, master of a murdered ghoul, kin to all those chosen of Cain that have fallen. I have come to make you pay, Arthur Rowan."

- Corinth Invidia has sustained an injury in battle...
- Corinth Invidia has rolled 2 or over: they may escape capture attempts (unless otherwise specified)!
- There was more power than he initially imagined.
- Whether it was because Arthur has grown cocky, or because he could not adapt quick enough, the battle between him and the Vampire was more than just rough- it escalated into something that he could barely handle, with the piercing strikes and sweeps coming from Corinth's blade ensuring that Arthur does bleed. As much as his Undead tried to protect him, they were too slow- as much as his armor was crafted by the finest blacksmiths, it was hardly enough to stop the strength behind the sword.
- 'No, he won't.'
- 'Do not even think of running away.'
- 'Get up. Now.'
- The compelling voice of the otherworldly energy caused him to stand up where a simple human spirit would flee in terror. It's a good thing there's no expression by the mask- the symbol that was meant to inspire terror in Vampires, in reality, was afraid.
- Yet, he stood.
- "You're wrong. You're the one who will pay. Personally."
- "And I'm here to collect."
- Infused with the energy that no Vampire could ever master, the Storm beckoned and promptly responded the request of Arthur; it was the strength of something almost divine, yet conjured by a mere human. Was it the drive to overcome such obstacle?
- Shredded with winds, boiled with blood and struck with lightning, Corinth was up against a much better, much stronger, much faster Arthur whom he just fought; the human spirit was as powerful as never before, and it projected itself in the palm that suddenly met his face in conjunction of the final attack.
- "Suffer me now."
- A beautiful, yet twisted and thorny rose of Storm, gracing his face and his body, stretching down the abdomen and spine alike- it fried everything in its wake, but the bloodloss has gotten to the Rowan. He could not finish Corinth here and now, alas.
- Blast, one that intended to kill him, instead sent him flying.
- (Arthur Rowan)
- A singular purpose.
- The calm demeanor of the vampire drops away, engaging with inhuman ferocity and speed faster than the eye can process.
- A strike of the blade to the side. Gnashing creatures formed from blood tearing at his sides. The blood calls to him, drawing him forwards. Faster. Harder. His emotional aura kicked into high gear, daring the chaos magi to strike back. Compelling him to stand down.
- And yet he persists. Drawn in, confident in his strikes, Corinth presses onward, silent but for the grunting and movement of combat, whirling above his opponent-
- Perhaps a nearly-fatal mistake.
- The blast of lightning catches Corinth off-guard. It's not the searing pain that most affects him- it's the realization that he let himself be fooled. The hit impacts him, arcing throughout his whole body.
- Just the last bit of will keeps him from smashing to the ground, gliding instead as he's knocked away. But the hit to his pride is as much of a wound as the scar he now carries on his face.
- He will be back.
- (Corinth Invidia)
- The battles are hard fought - no major casualties are dealt on either side, but the battle comes to a contentious conclusion regardless. The vampires are repelled from whatever their intents might have been - if only barely.

- 3-3. No captures. A tie, defaulting to a defending victory. Dawn prevails.
- The victory was not easy at all.
- As a matter of fact, Arthur had to pull the reserves- the Jianghese undead that remained mostly as builders at this point were commanded to draw upon their weaponry and immediately pursue the remaining Vampires and their respective servants out of the Dawn's land; an advantage that they could draw upon, being the defending side, and thankfully it worked.
- Caked and covered in blood, both his own and not really, Adjudicator remained fighting on the frontline with all might that he had left in him. At some point, he's seen the opportunity, a chance to seize in order to make sure this battle goes well for them- if it wasn't for that, perhaps they could regroup and strike again, but he could not allow that.
- Rising up from the ground and floating closer to the skies, he worked the remaining energy and strength to conjure the Storm as quickly as he can. Any lesser servant that attempted to stop him was met with a sudden bolt of lightning, or even his Undead bodyguards disallowing any interruption.
- A single roar, much like the Force of Nature itself had come, and it started to rain.
- "Begone. Do not come back."
- Immediately, the lightning started to strike upon the surface and the heads of every unfortunate soul that remained; the water surface created by the rain only conducted that lightning, electrifying everything that didn't fall back quick enough. Pushing the attacking force closer and closer to the cave's entrance, there was seemingly only one choice for them--
- -- to stand and die in the Storm, or to retreat inside the caves.
- (Arthur Rowan)
- A clash of undead on both sides. Fitting, perhaps. Ghouls and thralls collide into skeletons and undead, a small scale war by all accounts. The skirmishing magi do make it out with only relative wounds, though it's still quite bloody- The vampires, and their ghouls, fight with voracity, tearing flesh apart and staining the green grass red and brown.
- It's only after a long while of combat does the Baron eventually, almost reluctantly, sound a retreat. All at once, where before his horde of the night had been, they vanish. Back into the caves, back northwards - As if they had never been here to begin with. Only the broken bodies of those who had fallen and the stained blood are anything to even prove they were there in the first place.
- The Baron, naturally, is one of the last to go. Blood covers his arms, hands, teeth, mouth- Everywhere except for his armor, it appears, of which blood seems to simply slide right off. He offers a short wave towards the Valmasianforces, a loud and boisterous laugh escaping his pale lips. And along with that laugh, a few simple words-
- "A great show, Arthur! Truly, we should have these events much more often! Perhaps one of these days you'll ever prove a challenge for me, yes?~
- Until next time, Lover!"
- The voice fades, as does the rest of his force, into the shadows of the cave.
- Not quite a victory, but not quite a loss.
- Lucien always did rather enjoy a grand show.
