  1. He dug through those book cases for any hint of information he could. On Death Magic. All sources gave little information, sometimes limited only to those rumors and stories of it. But he kept searching reading. Everything that he could find. Everything that he could get a hold on. He slowly took the information he found, cross referencing it with what he had found in his independent study of the soul, with each other source.
  2.
  3. He knew he would have to tear his own soul from his body over and over again. And he lacked other Death Magi. But he knew that with his runes, it was very much possible. He was not satisfied with what small and undetailed information that he had gathered. He had the bear bones. He knew he had to remove the soul and put it back, but was there a procedure? What was the best practice?
  4.
  5. He took a long detour from there to Nostvale. Taking books and other tomes from clerks for reading and study. He would take the books and read them voraciously. Even poetry supposedly written by Death Magi, which he would analyze stanza by stanza for any idea that he could gleam. Not a single detail in those were overlooked.

  7. Despite his disposition towards this poetry, the tomes and Grimoires provided far more information. Depravity practically dripping from some of the pages. The hastily scribbled notes taken from their own hands, slowly and methodically rewritten and understood for everything that he could take them for. Many of them were also experienced rune writers, leaving runes that tapped the soul, dead and lifelessly uncharged, they still provided him with the knowledge he sought, and he copied them.
  8.
  9. As he went through them, he felt a kind of distortion. He felt everything around just fly by. It was as if this work was all he could feel. All he could know. And he began piecing what he knew together. He was not terribly misguided. He was already on the right path, but from what he had seen he would need massive adjustments to the design and the goal post. He wrote in that area in his notes voraciously, seemingly completely ignoring everything else happening and going on around him.
  10.
  11. As he took his final notes and began pressing and designing runes from what he had garnered, it was truly quite well done research, but he was several thousand crowns down on his fortune due to this little venture of his, but he had needed it. It was well worth it for what he had learned and understood. He was on his way to the next step.
  12.
  13. He took the writings and the books that he had and placed them safely, and he went off to New Alteros.
