[21:08] Katrin Weiss says, "Why ain't ya walk with me. Can do some work on your thing."

[21:09] Katrin Weiss says, "And here it is...The Ardent Artificer."
[21:10] Haggis eyes the cat in the corner.

[21:10] Katrin gently sets Scrumpeh down, letting him meander or find Haggis' arms. She shrugs off her cloak and starts to wander back behind the counter, into the workshop proper.

[21:10] Katrin Weiss says, "Oh...that's just Bramble. He likes nappin'."
[21:10] {Item} You drop Scrumpeh.
[21:12] Katrin Weiss says, "Hmn..."
[21:13] Katrin Weiss asks, "You're an energy magi. Ain't that right?"
[21:13] Haggis Valkrin says, "Aye, though I'm workin' on learnin' a wee bit o' holy magic"
[21:14] Katrin Weiss asks, "Huh. What's called ya to holy magic?"
[21:19] Katrin Weiss has placed Pipe into the chest.
[21:19] Haggis thinks for some time about the question posed to him. It was similar to the ones Markus had posed him, but just different enough that he couldn't immediately say an answer.

"Well I's been gien a lot tae protect. Caliban's passed 'is hopes an' dreams ontae me, an' Scrumpeh can't righly care fer 'imself."

Haggis' voice turns to a whisper "He's a wee bit lie me ya ken."

"Other than tha' I ken I can take wha'ever comes me way an' more, so I'm willin' tae shoulder others burdens tae make their life easier. Tha's All there is tae it."

[21:27] The artificer limps over to one of the chests, rummaging through its contents. Gods, there was so much stuff in here. Half of it her own, half for other pending orders.

But it was time to shake off the rust. No matter what had happened, no matter her circumstances, there was always work to do.

Even in the throes of whatever she's experiencing, Katrin has never been the type to simply lie down and take it. From the chest the bone dry bracers are unearthed and dusted off.

"Well...sadly I ain't go truckin' much with holy magic. Not unless a client brings it in. Which happens from time-to-time," she replies, bringing over the artefact to settle in at her work table nearby.

"But ya find it. I can always add it on later."

[21:28] Katrin Weiss asks, "Leadin' the Fireblooded, huh?"

[21:30] Haggis Valkrin asks, "I feel lie I'm more of a catalyst ya ken?"
[21:30] Katrin Weiss says, "Ah, yeah....I remember him showin' that."
[21:30] Haggis Valkrin says, "I dunnae 'ave terribly high opes an' dreams, so I'm goin' tae 'elp others achieve theres."
[21:30] Katrin Weiss says, "I think I getchya'."
[21:30] Katrin Weiss says, "S'good of ya."
[21:30] Katrin Weiss says, "...Ya remind me a lil' of Thorn in that way, actually."
[21:31] Haggis Valkrin says, "Maybe I'll find summit o' me own tae chase while helpin' others."
[21:32] A soft grunt. The artificer takes out a set of tools and lays them out in a tray. A few picks, a few cloths, bottles of tinctures, pics and bits of coarse paper.

She begins most simply by cleaning the gloves- they're old, likely haven't seen use in an age, maybe two, and could use some attention.

With a soft brush she starts to flick away the worst of the dust and debris.

"Some do. But, if ya will allow a lil' unsolicited advice...

Be careful how much ya let people rule ya that way. They'll walk over ya if ya ain't careful."

[21:34] Haggis Valkrin says, "Aye I'm discernin' as tae who I'm helpin'"
[21:35] Haggis Valkrin says, "I dunnae thin' any'un what tries tae control me 'll like tha' result either."
[21:38] There's the faint ghost of a smile at Haggis' proclaimed defiance in the face of those that might try to pull strings. She nods gently. After the brush she takes the pick and cleans out the cracks, the nooks, making sure as she can that there's nothing left in them that can be spotted.

"S'good. Hope ya keep that."

Next she begins treating the pair of bracers with a pungent, acrid smelling solution from one of the many unlabeled bottles.

"By the by. What kinda' style ya like? You want Fireblooded motifs? The dragons n' all?"

[21:43] Haggis thinks for a moment about the question. He didn't have terribly strong feelings towards one style or another, the most important thing to him was the function, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little flair.

"'Ows aboot a claw, wi' each finger representin' Ryujin, Jormungand, Shenlong, Quetzalcoatl, an Huatl"

[21:47] A stiff nod. She didn't ascribe to any faith any longer- those days were far behind her- but if it was what her client wanted? She would oblige.

Another tool is lifted from what's lain out on the table. A small, slender spike of iron.

She begins to apply heat and carves, scrimshaw style, into the bone along the first finger.

"Any of 'em ya pay homage to personally? Most of the Fireblooded squawk on 'bout fuckin' Garljing so much."

[21:49] Haggis Valkrin says, "Seems tae me lie Garljing doensae do much. Jus' kinda hangs oot..."

[21:50] Katrin Weiss says, "Garljing ain't tend to do much, nah."
[21:50] Katrin Weiss says, "'Cept be fuckin' preachy and burn shit down."
[21:51] It was, to many Fireblooded, probably heresy. She doesn't seem to care as she freely mentions her unfiltered opinion on what she would definitely refer to as an 'overgrown lizard'.

That was here nor there.

Despite not calling to the Five herself, certainly not any longer, she plies her trade well to represent them along the length of each bony finger. Twice over, since there were two gauntlets.

"And ya got the arcanium with ya...Did ya give me that already?"

Goodness, her mind is all over the place still.

[21:55] Katrin looks up at Haggis and frowns. Then she returns to her work.

[21:56] Katrin Weiss says, "And for each of the dragons...I could maybe do a lil' bit of a crystal inlay."
[21:56] Katrin Weiss says, "For each element."
[21:56] Katrin Weiss says, "Won't have no effect, but it'll make it pretty."
[21:57] Haggis Valkrin says, "Spikes seems lie they migh' get worn down o'er time ya ken."
