  5. <b>Ilas</b> (アイラス, lit. "brave sea warrior") is a <strong>waterbending master</strong> native to the <strong>Southern Water Tribe</strong>, the son of Salahir, the current <strong>Chief of the Southern Water Tribe</strong> and the younger brother of <strong>Eyla</strong>. After his birth, the elders of his tribe elected him as the successor to his father's position, instead of his elder sister. Therefore, he was sent to study waterbending under the Chief of the Northern Water Tribe, Kai. Within mere years, Ilas successfully completed his training and returned to the Southern Water Tribe.</div>

  7. <br><br>[b]<font size="4">Background</font>[/b][align=center]<img src="https://i.imgur.com/96hOkTf.png" height="3" width="500px" />[/align]Ilas was born to Salahir, the Chief of the Southern Water Tribe and his wife as their second child and first son, a birth which emblazoned great hope within his people. A reality Ilas soon realised was the worsening state of his tribe, which had been suffering from the consequences of lack of contact with other civilizations, causing great economic stagnation they never recovered from. As a way to groom him perfectly, Ilas was sent to study waterbending under the Chief of the Northern Water Tribe, Kai, and became one of his disciples. Ilas was unlike any other waterbender Kai had ever trained, and instantly proved to be an exceptionally talented waterbender, to such a degree that he mastered the art in only a handful of years while only a teenager. Afterwards, he returned to the Southern Water Tribe where he finished his studies. Now, alongside his sister and polar bear dog Nazo, he has returned to the Northern Water Tribe with his goals set in mind. <br><br>[b]<font size="4">Personality</font>[/b][align=center]<img src="https://i.imgur.com/96hOkTf.png" height="3" width="500px" />[/align]Ilas has often been described as a handsome, well-mannered, caring, confident and understanding gentleman, an idealistic man and one that behaves very suitable to lead others. This is often reflected in his natural instinct to take charge, intellect and exceptional insight, but also the kindness of his heart. However, this is all encompassed by what Ilas radiates the most; an irresistible, unyielding charisma. His natural charismatic ability to charm people, especially women, is one of a kind, allowing him to quickly gain another's trust and let them confide secrets with him. It is often described as hypnotic by those close to him, as he is always surrounded by people that wish to either be like him or with him.<br><br>However, there is more to him that meets the eye; a side of him only known by his sister, something he conceals to almost everyone around him. When angered, Ilas becomes ominous, and he is revealed to be merciless, bold, extremely manipulative, often using his charms to twist people around his fingers, and vindictive, caring little about another in order to get what he wants, even going as far as to murder anyone that stands in his way. <br><br>[b]<font size="4">Appearance</font>[/b][align=center]<img src="https://i.imgur.com/96hOkTf.png" height="3" width="500px" />[/align]As described before, Ilas is a very handsome and trained individual, affording him a peak human physical condition and a muscular build. He has light blue eyes, reminiscent to that of spirit water and dark brown hazelnut hair.   15. Ilas is a waterbending master of incredible talent, rivaled only by the likes of Nairi, Sun-Tsu and Kai, with Ilas arguably superior to the former two, but obviously inferior to the latter. As a child, he was taught many techniques by Kai which he refined and mastered by the time of his pre-adolescence. Ilas possesses a vast array of techniques and knowledge befitting to that of a master. Due to having grown up half of his life in the Northern equator, Ilas has mastered the Northern style of waterbending just as much as the Southern style, giving him a slight edge over standard waterbenders by allowing him to incorporate both styles into his techniques, culminating in Ilas becoming an incredibly deadly opponent and masterful bender. Paired with his sheer determination and cruelty in battle, he has often been referenced to as a natural born killer, even to the likes of benders.<br><br>

Besides his natural talents as a conventional waterbender, Ilas is also very adept in the art of healing, having been taught most of what he knows from Kai and his sister, Eyla, who has been gifted with extraordinary healing talent. Though ever inferior in healing to his sister, Ilas has proven himself a proficient healer, allowing him to stabilize grievous wounds within mere moments and heal a person from critical condition under prolonged effect.<br><br>
