Lucy Chandler Surprise

Chandler was excited to finally get some time with Larry, his gay crush. They were to go to a beach and finally get their alone time, at least that was his hope before seeing a pale girl with Larry.
"So, who's this?" Chandler asked.
Lincoln smiled nervously and presented the girl like a prized hog. "This is my younger sister Lucy. Mom told me to bring her since she, you know, doesn't have any friends."
Lucy unfolded a towel and opened an umbrella. "You boys have fun, I'm just going to lounge." She carried in her bag a massive collection of Edger Allen Poe's poems.
Chandler grabbed Lincoln's arm. "Right, Larry, let's get into this!" He drags Lincoln into the tide, when Lincoln saw a tree right next to the water. This gave him an idea.
"Alright Chandler, I'll swim with you if you can do a cannonball off a branch of that tree!"
Chandler looked at the tree unimpressed. "Fine, I guess I'll do just that." He climbed the tree and cannon balled into the lake, the splash was big enough to ruin Lucy's book. Lincoln ran into the water after Chandler to start playing.
Lucy gritted her teeth and ran into the lake. "Lincoln! My book is damaged because of your incompetence!"
Lincoln scoffed and splashed Lucy's face. "Lighten up it's just a book!"
Lucy splashed Lincoln's face, they argued for a couple minutes, but in a muddy sequence of events Lincoln and Lucy ended up just playing in the water. Stealing Lincoln's attention from Chandler.
Chandler swam to Lincoln. "Hey Larry, you think maybe we could do something together."
Lincoln stopped playing with Lucy for a couple seconds to address Chandler. "Lucy and I have a thing going on, go to the beach and wait for us I promise I'll get to you in a few minutes I have a great idea!"
Chandler swam back on land and watched his friend play with his sister all day. When their parents came to pick them up Chandler was bone dry.
