- [08:55] Wra'gul says, "Captain."
- [08:55] Stede Vane says, "Wra'gul."
- [08:55] Wra'gul nods.
- (Wra'gul)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [08:55] Stede Vane tips his hat to Wra'gul.
- (Stede Vane)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:00] The creature jumped out of some trees after noticing the presence of the pirate.. Then leaving in his direction until he stopped. His head lowered and the countless eyes stared.
- Present attention, clear seriousness - just as the disturbance in reality.
- "Stede Vane." The creature replied, before providing appropriate words - "I want to make clear my interest in this location, which according to the information passed to me, belongs to you, due to the presence of the last house being yours.
- Is this correct? And if so..
- My intentions are clear, to establish a nest - a place to dwell and work on my projects - alongside my kind, as well as others. However, I can only do this in two ways - one in which I take this island by force, the other in which we come to terms.
- A deal.
- And certainly, I think what will interest you most is a deal." The creature shuddered, its wings fluttered and then the ether wasemitted.
- His presence, as always, was something putrid to reality and, mainly, to the health of mortals.
- "Tell me, what would you want for this place? Coins? Relics? Something specific..
- Just say what your heart desire and it can be offered." With that the creature finally fell silent and waited for the answers.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:07] Stede looks up at the large demon bird. A creature that the old captain still doesn't know its proper name, awkwardly enough...
- "If you want a place to work in peace and quiet away from any peering eyes, there are two different places I can think of."
- Stede says to Sak'noth, holding his chin as he ponders the options.
- "The first is a place on the mainland. Ebonhold I believe it is called? They should be willing to welcome you and others of your kind there, and you'll have a standing force to defend it that'll be around more often."
- Stede suggests, and then shifts his gaze away from Sak'noth to look towards the south west.
- "If it is a place remote and unwatched you are looking for? I know a small island that is still untouched by civilization. You'll be able to go in and out without anyone noticing you, and work on your projects in peace there."
- (Stede Vane)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:14] "Ebonhold.. Will.. Fall.
- The place is wide open, it's already known and loud in its approach, it's a matter of time before the mortal armies march towards them - cause turmoil..
- Such as what happened to Abendrot." The creature would inform and then make it clear that they didn't plan to move there.
- He would not stay in Ebonhold, as such will fall.
- "This island is still desired, however." A pause, he tilted his head to the side, "Maybe, perhaps - I'm willing to hear about this locality you mention - as long as it's really worth my time.
- Then." A pause, he approached the Pirate, "Guide us there." So, permission was given and now, it would be up to the old man to..
- Take the demon lord to the place.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:14] Wra'gul chose to stay silent for the most part because he knew The Fel Khan had their best interests at heart.
- Everything was being done to ensure the protection of their development and the survival of their people.
- As Stede spoke, he couldn't help but turn his head.
- They did have a cordial relationship, at least according to Wra'gul.
- "Captain, I think the last time we spoke, I requested if I could trust in you, because if you're setting us up for failure on this 'remote island,' it'll be an awful way to terminate a lovely relationship."
- There was no threat, no guarantee, just a Siren voicing his feelings to the Captain.
- Someone who adored the oceans just as much as he did.
- "And I hear pirates of men of their word."
- (Wra'gul)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:18] Giving them for the both of them to raise their concerns, the old captain lets out a soft chuckle as he looks at them both with a smile.
- "Nay. Ain't not trickery in that place." He answers both of them. "On the contrary.
- If you want a place that isn't known to the public, Mina Solis ain't the place. It'll be among the first places people will search, especially now that some nations are looking for an excuse to hit my people."
- He rolls his eyes, irritated by said attempts.
- "I'll show you the place, and then you can make up your mind."
- The captain then turns, and walks towards the boat he came on the island with, still upon the shore.
- Given that Sak'noth is, well, a bird... It shouldn't be hard for him to follow.
- (Stede Vane)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:29] The old captain has let them first to the south east. However, when they start getting closer towards the island, Stede notices both a lighthouse, and an Aen ship nearby - Causing him to quickly turn around.
- "Seems it has been occupied, let me show a different spot then." Then, Stede leads them to a different island to the north. This one, while not having any ships about? Had two buildings placed, and the moment Stede noticed a whitecloak in the distance? He quickly guided them back to the shores of Mina Solis.
- "... Apologies for that." The old captain speaks once they return safely.
- "Seems Aen has spread its reach longer than I thought. Even old Blackthorn may be next for them."
- (Stede Vane)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:30] Wra'gul says, "Damnit... Those fucking vermins."
- [09:32] The journey would be made, but as quickly as they left - they returned. For the southern seas were being taken by the fleets of Aen, which scattered..
- Across the islands.
- "Disgusting parasites and the like allow these to roam, stealing and taking their land - thinking demons are the real threat.
- Hah, it is amusing." And well, they wouldn't be wrong.. But of course the demon would always try..
- Turn attention to others!
- Now..
- "So what are other options?" He questioned next, before finally waiting for the pirate's reaction.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:37] Stede puts a hand over his chin in thought, pondering said options.
- "If you build a nest here, Aen will notice soon enough and come for you with the combined forces of the nation. It'll be a lose-lose situation for us both. I'll be without the island, and you'll be under assault again.
- That said..." What place would Aen not bother searching, at least any time soon?
- "The desert could work. South part of it anyway. It is far enough off the beaten course people won't randomly come to check, and if needed? There may be houses there you can take for yourself. In fact, I believe the one who owns the hut at the far south part of the desert is none other than K'thul himself."
- (Stede Vane)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:41] A sigh...
- What they thought was concealed turned out to be far from it; a toss of his head as he pinches the bridge of his nose.
- This was going to be more difficult than it looked.
- "You're a keen observer, Captain."
- That was all Wra'gul had to say about it.
- (Wra'gul)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:42] The old captain looks at Wra'gul with a shrug once he realizes the sirenian might have tried to keep it hidden still.
- "I've had my past scuffles with him over the years. I ought to know that much."
- (Stede Vane)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:44] Remarkably, after hearing Stede's words the creature seemed to freeze. Its feathers lifted, the ether it emitted ever more present - oozing from its form, shuddering the very fabric of reality.
- As the former Khan.. was clearly angry.
- For every time he wanted to take a step, there were countless obstacles in his way - but, that wouldn't stop him. Nothing would stop him until his goals were finally achieved.
- Now..
- "Then.. We will exterminate them, every single one.. until none last!
- And this will begin once my kin are ready once more."
- The voice echoed, before he provided more.
- "Your contributions and time are welcome, Stede - for now, that will be all." With that said, he gestured to the side and a crack opened, "I'll... look elsewhere, Wra, I will leave you here, find a way to safe destination.
- Both.. Dismissed." And so, if not interrupted, he would start to depart through the portal, moving away from that place.
- As there is nothing anymore to be done here.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:48] This was all that could be done for the time being. Though it wasn't the end, one of the many doorways they expected to open stayed locked.
- As The Fel Khan starts to leave, tendrils tear through the fabric of the life-stream, creating a portal.
- "So, for the time being, I'll be creeping the night and hiding under a boulder.
- If you two require my assistance, I'm only a message away."
- A modest gesture was given.
- "Thank you, Captain, for your time and assistance in these trying times.
- Although monsters, they're very much still people; will remember this."
- Before taking his leave back to the main lands.
- (Wra'gul)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [09:52] Considering the two in front of him might have conflicting feelings about said revelation spoken out, the old captain opts to maintain a stoic expression in the face of Sak'noth's visible wrath.
- Which admittedly, is much harder to keep calm when the one in front of you starts affecting the very fabric of reality. He may try not to show it, but Stede is feeling goosebumps down his spine now.
- "Don't worry about it. I believe we both have a dislike of Aen, so cooperation has its benefits when it comes to keeping safe from their clutches."
- Stede then tips his hat to Sak'noth as he vanishes off by going into a portal.
- "I'll be scouring the seas soon enough to see if there is still an island out there untouched. Who knows, there may be a place these old eyes have missed."
- (Stede Vane)
