Elle's Generalized OOC

1. PM-friendly... to an extent. I'm not interested in smut messages, or idle chit-chat. If you'd like to talk plot or character interaction, that's totally acceptable! But I prefer relevant PMs.
	(a) SMUT - reserved for my character's partner. I seldom do random smutting, and if I do? Chances are I'll approach you for it rather than the other way around. However, most of the time I don't really get into smutting, and the scenes are fade-to-black. I respect your smut preferences, so please respect mine.

2. RP is a hobby for me, therefore RL > RP. I'm a full-time student and often am extremely busy, my availability is hard to pin down. I go AFK a lot because I'm usually doing homework as well as RPing but I'll always do my best to give you some kind of warning should I have to leave. Note that if it's after 12:00 am EST, I could disappear due to passing out.

3. I can shitpost, or I can bust out novella play. When the muse hits, it hits for days, and I produce walls. I don't like to mirror-post, I post what I feel like posting - sometimes that's a little much. Don't be intimidated, though, because most of the time I just write for the sake of writing and like large posts.

4. Discord is only available for long-term RP partners. If we end up being friends? Dope. If we only chat occasionally? Dope. It's not big deal. Just don't abuse receiving this information. I won't share any other social media contacts, however.

5. IC interactions =/= OOC thoughts/feelings. If my character hates your character, I don't actually hate you, so please do not misconstrue this. Likewise, if my character is interested in your character, though we may discuss it OOCly, those feelings do not transcend IC interaction. RPC isn't a dating website. :')

6. I'm usually more interested in slice-of-life and romantic comedy sort of RPs, but I enjoy dark twists and grittier themes when the mood strikes. I don't shy away from gore, but I do like my fighting to be tasteful and with some sort of reasoning behind it, especially for my softer-hearted characters.
	a. Preferred themes (already mentioned, I just wanted a simple list): romance, slice-of-life, comedy, drama... There are others, and if there's something you'd like to ask me about? Feel free to.

7. I've been RPing for a decade now, and people never cease to amaze me. As a general rule of thumb when writing with me, please do try and put effort into your posts. While I believe that quality > quantity, both are wonderful and never be ashamed to spend hours typing a juicy response. I usually give 110% in my posts, or do my damnedest to, so I hope that in return you are giving me effort. I'm not too pushy about the time it takes you to type because I myself am a slow responder. I ask that you just don't answer with three lines after I've given you three paragraphs! We all have off-days but... come on.

8. The Golden Rule: be kind and generally respectful to me and, in turn, I will grant you the same attitude. Remember, your treatment of me OOCly dictates how we will proceed. I'm usually laid-back, and while I like to joke around and tease, I am not a mean person at heart. So confront me if I say something that bothers you because I never mean to. And I hope that I can approach you when and if you say something that bothers me! I just want to be the first to know about it; if you have a problem with me, please take it up with me. We're adults, after all. We should be able to work our differences out, even if that means not communicating because there is no middle ground or the line crossed was too far.

9. I think it's good to remember that we're all here to have fun! You, me, our respective RP partners... At the end of the day, we all want to RP and escape the monotony of the real world. It's enjoyable and gives you the opportunity to be more than you feel as though you are... Never let the things I or any other individual say get to you. We're naught but pixels to one another, and we'll most assuredly never meet. My thoughts and opinions shouldn't make or break your day. I believe we should collectively strive to make this virtual space feel safe, comfortable, and productive for each other and for others that want to engage in roleplay with us.
