  1. Bro. B.O.F.'s OLSX Outreach Page
  2.
  3. The Electronic Intifada
  4. The real battle is here: Crowdsource Crowdsource Crowdsource.
  5. There must be thousand or even millions on the internet who can get our (their) message out.
  6. There should be accredited personalities live tweeting facebooking from the camp.
  7. But a network of hacktivists can work just as effectively from home.
  8. Create a virtual camp where people can join the occupation.
  9. I am not a facebooker -don't agree with their rules- but re Twitter:
  10. Motion for General Assembly
  11. Decide on an avatar mod: "99%"?
  12. + a *short* #tag "#olsx
  13. + a cyber-petition Twitition? Ideally Avaaz?
  14. Choose the wording at a Gen Assembly.
  15.
  16. Politics
  17. Would suggest loose contact with main parties. As movement grows all the usual will try to jump on bandwagon. Movement should be above traditional party political lines.
  18. If 99% means anything, it must include all the disenfranchised even if they are a natural BNP voter. (Where much of the Labour vote may disappear :)
  19. Thus all or none IMHO. With one exception: the Greens with only one MP not seen as party political. And Jenny Jones for the Greens has already shown interest.
  20. A liaison with her gives you the London Assembly.
  21. Caroline Lucas ???
  22.
  23. Getting the Trade Union movement on board is critical. The Egyptian experience tells us that the Junta did not shift UNTIL the wildcat strikes started to hurt the economy.
  24. The TU movement has a broad based membership too.
  25. (Persona Note: I might be useful here as was a Shop Steward/ H&S Officer/ Minutes Secretary & Branch Secretary of UNISON at Univ of Herts.)
  26.
  27. Local Community
  28. Befriend your local coppers. Reverse stockholm effect cf Military and Tahrir movement.
  29. Ditto shopkeepers and other local businesses.
  30.
  31. St Pauls
  32. An occupation of the LSX would have been good. 'Occupation' of St Pauls is literally a godsend. The PR value is ENORMOUS.
  33. Hence my suggestions of a Sunday call for protest. Times so as to minimise impact on St Pauls activities.
  34. Personally I would aim for an address by Rowan Williams in or around Christmas. PR again!
  35.
  36. (Personal Note I may be pagan but I know my Bible
  37. Acts II
  38. 44 All who believed were together and had all things in common;
  39. 45 they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.
  40. 46 Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple,
  41. they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts,
  42. Sound familiar!)
  43.
  44. Local Charities and Housing shelters
  45. ESSENTIAL If this winter is going to be cold and hard, positive PR gained by linking with these orgs. And also provides support to your camp.
  46.
  47. Further to my homeless suggestion military expertise in survival would be a good.
  48. Soldiers know how to sleep rough. Perhaps a shout out to ex-military that they are wanted might pay dividends and confound the "Loony Left" labelers.
  49.
  50. The Bankers
  51. This is your real target. Every photo or TV clip of the protest engaging with the City is publicity gold.
  52. And every soundbite of a worker (a 99%er) admitting that the system is broken a platinum edged gilt!
