  1. Crafters are great at making money and all that; some making even the prettiest of furniture, weapons and armor. But what if I told you, yes you, sitting over there with barely any of your crafters beyond level 50; that you can make a lot of gil, just like crafters can. Bring up one of your primal-sized couches, and get your desynthesis ready, because you're about to do some heavier lifting than normal. Welcome to a Crap Guide to Final Fantasy.

  3. Yes, despite crafters and gatherers being able to make gil relatively consistently, there are a few portions of the game that require non-crafters to be able to get some of the materials needed for some of those recipes; and that, my friend, is where you come in. A combat job is capable of farming specialized items to make those fancy-wancy sparkly glimmering shiny weapons you've always wanted for your barely-held-together Glamour Dresser. But you probably want to know where those materials even come from, right? Well, things are about to get EXTREME. Literally. Extreme Modes are the bountiful bosom you dip your hands into to grab succulent gear and accessories so you can desynthesize them into useful, and more importantly, expensive materials. Such as the Demimog Demimateria from Good King Moggle Mog XII over there. All you need to do is get level 30 in all of your crafters, and take a short class on how to desynthesize items from some dude in Ul'dah's market.

  5. "But wait, that requires crafting. What if I want to do no crafting at all?" [Awkwardly long pause as they are glared at.] Well you stupid little entitled fart, there's another special piece of content you can do as a combat-focused class/job. But I only recommend it for the truly masochistic types of people: ADVENTURER IN NEED. Yes, the duty roulette needs certain roles from time to time, as shown by these little tasteful rock candies at the far end of each Duty Roulette's row. When these are up, you can choose that Duty Roulette to get a bunch of gil. But, most important of these, are Alliance Raid and Leveling Roulette, as they give very special items, which can be traded to Rowena's little witches dotted around the realm in each city for the latest two Grades of combat materia. Specifically, you will often want to spend the one that gives the highest grade materia on Critical Hit, to sell; while you grab whatever second-highest materia you want to haul over to Mutamix Bubblypots to have him transmute into more materia. You had better pray to the RNG God Hiromichi Tanaka that you get a higher grade materia though, because getting another of the same grade is basically saying you suck balls, and that you should seriously consider going back to crafting.

  7. But even with all that under your belt, there's still more a single brain celled combat class/job like yourself can do. You can get Grand Company Seals, buy the 600-GC Seal materials from the Quartermaster to sell to NPCs, like Clear Flourite, or use those to roll gacha on those newfangled Grand Company coffers. But probably the biggest two time-wasting pieces of content you can do for some money are Palace of the Dead, for those hefty sacks, and Eureka, for special gear like the ever-elusive Cassie Earring. Just don't come crying to me when you inevitably realize how tedious all of these options are, and the fact that you're about to get Cleaved by the Pug tank as a healer.

  9. Now you know how to make gil as a combat class, you're welcome.
