I had some time off when I was removed from HA but even then I worked on rewriting the purpose of each staff member post and going around to 300 different community members and seeing what they wanted added in. I came back from my first LOA from here ever and am already disappointed with some things I saw. I see Linus making these types of posts so here's my crack at it with everything that happened from the time I got on today to the time I started to write this post.

I am the DA so right off the bat I have to deal some in character stuff, nothing too terrible, just straightening somethings out and writing up a few SOPs. Everything gets resolved, then I make a move to the staff side of things.

The first thing I see is upset Support [won't name who] and tell them they can have their opinion and do what they have to do as we have all been in that position before, just don't do anything that would press losing their position here in the community. So within minutes of them making their post, I see the individuals on that can handle the situation and it was bypassed, just completely ignored. Ok that's fine I guess, let the drama simmer and let everyone cool down.

Next is going and seeing a huge in-game situation erupt with Jeremy Sharpie, Piter Winemaker, Joey Balsdepe, and Garry Chapman. The first issue is that Joey was being disrespect and it became apparent that the evidence supplied was going against him, so the "I was stream sniped" card was pulled and without any evidence the staff in that channel were on Joey's side. When Piter asked for an SA he got the most annoyed sigh and condescending tone of "Fine I will get you your SA if you really want one." The one that responded did not take charge and only began to agree to a one sided story. The stream sniping? Well there was a helicopter hovering above Joey for about 2 minutes calling out his positions, but the pilot to the heli was never brought in to see what was going on. Ok so the Stream Sniping finally get resolved. Now we move on to the original valid complaint where Joey even admitted to disrespecting a player to the point where his parents and likelihood were insulted in front of 10 plus players. Staff response was 10 warning points. Ok now even that is ok, give someone a chance. Now here is where it gets good. Before leaving the channel, Joey yells to Garry, "Stay the fuck away from me because I hate your guts." The response from staff? "If he does it again file a report."

As a response to this situation, 2 Support Team members quit, several higher staff don't trust those that they work with, and a member was told that it was ok for him to be treated like crap and it is completely ok.

Now why make this post? The last time I fought out against players shooting up cop spawn, RDMing. and the like I was called biased because I couldn't see the situation from the other side even though the evidence was clear and their was no flip side justification.

When did this staff team stop caring? Why have situations been handled with a bias lately? Why are we only getting one side to the story? I might be outspoken here, but I have NEVER played on a different community. I have NEVER even looked at another community's website with the thought of going there. Why does most of this current staff team only seem to be here for the position and not the community? Everyone deserves the right to feel close to their fellow teammates yet when looking at things here, there are little groups of people that speak in whispers when others are around. At one point in time, we were a community here in the staff team, a group of people that trusted and confided in one another, now everyone keeps to themselves and disappear when others come to them.
