The Mikos' training - 2

[Taisha training grounds]

Hin: Phew... Seems our training is over for today.

Tou: Standing in the waterfall, meditation, prayer recital... I've never did this much Miko training.

Mit: Suwa was isolated, so I've pretty much never done any Miko training... Phew.

Mit: Hinata-san, and you did this kind of training every day? My respect grows...

Hin: Actually, no. I haven't undertaken that much real Miko training myself, either.

Hin: My role at the time was to live with the Heroes and provide them with support.

Hin: On the other hand, Aki-san must've trained properly, since she was in constant Miko service at the Taisha.

Tou: Aki...san?

Hin: A Miko at the Taisha. She guided Anzu-san and Tamako-san. We were on quite good terms.

Tou: ...When I was in elementary school, the teacher in charge of overseeing us Heroes was named Aki as well.

Hin: Really? Maybe she could've been a descendant of the Aki I'm familiar with.

Hin: The Mikos in direct service of the Taisha had almost no freedom to speak of... Aki-san often said she wanted to be at the Heroes' side, too.

Hin: Perhaps it's that wish of hers that led to her descendant becoming an overseer of the Heroes?

Tou: It could be so...

Mit: Haah...

Hin: What's wrong, Mito-san?

Mit: I just thought of how impressive everyone else is. You, Tougou-san, and that Aki-san you just mentioned...

Mit: Since they kept angrily telling me my mind was disturbed during training...

Tou: Fujimori-san...

Mit: I'm even less confident now...

Hin: I think there's no other Miko as capable as you, Mito-san.

Mit: You're mistaken...

Hin: I've heard that the reason Suwa held out for so long without any support from the Taisha was because of your oracles, Mito-san.

Hin: And that your ability to sense danger and enemy invasions was especially remarkable.

Tou: Hinata-san is right. I'm not sure if I could've done as well as you if I was thrust into that situation, Fujimori-san.

Mit: Thank you, Hinata-san, Tougou-san.
