  3. Clirene: No culture can be called conservative or religious in the Christian sense that accepts third gender. An effeminate man can never be a woman but can lead a normal life of a male. You can see these men in Christian communities getting married & having children
  4. Sailer: "Third gender" social roles tend to be found in ultra-macho cultures like the Plains Indians (e.g., the movie "Little Big Man") where males are expected to act so hyper-masculine that some men just can't live up to it.
  5. More moderate Christian cultures seem better.

  7. Mog_Sothoth: a directly related phenomenon that has also resulted in injuries and deaths and exists for the same reason: "According to the Rochester Police Department, 200 cars have been stolen in the city already this year, including 147 in the last two weeks, many of them Kias and Hyundais."
  8. Sailer: If the GOP had smart handlers, it would have started a 2022 get-out-the-vote drive among Kia and Hyundai owners.

  10. LinksGems: Been a while since I’ve had a request for Whistling Straits, and it’s been even longer since I’ve been there. Pete Dye’s bunker bonanza high above Lake Michigan leaves a hell of an impression. A gorgeous place for sure. And I think the roaming sheep are a fantastic touch. Photo below.
  11. Sailer: At this point, Pete Dye golf courses tend to look out of fashion to me, the way almost all golfers in 1970 thought National Golf Links of America was an outdated eyesore. Hope I live long enough for the inevitable Pete Dye revival the way Charles Blair Macdonald came back.

  13. Dgelles: About that childhood, Jealous grew up in Northern California "sleeping inside of redwood trees," hiking Yosemite and volunteering at @MontereyAq. As a young professional and as CEO of @NAACP, Jealous kept working on environmental issues.
  14. Sailer: I suspect that the majority of the time Ben Jealous of the Monterey Peninsula has spent in a forest in his lifetime is when he slices his tee shot into the golf course's trees.

  16. KirkegaardEmil: Social skills/theory of mind more strongly correlated with verbal ability than non-verbal ability in 4 year olds: "Theory of Mind and diverse intelligences in 4-year-olds" (article below)
  17. Sailer: Jane Austen and Leo Tolstoy probably had strong theory of mind at age 4.

  19. MrBenMcLean: No, that's sexualizing children as it is ultimately fulfilling the sexual fantasies of adults.
  20. Sailer: A lot of the F-to-M transmania of recent years is girls being afraid of turning into women and their parents going along with it because they are too.
  21. Jod: Steve, I wonder if on some subconcious level parents of male 'trans kids' don't want their sons to ever become sexually active gay men.
  22. Sailer: That's the official Iranian policy for what to do with highly effeminate little boys.
  23. ######
  24. Tom: Steve, what do you think of Obama?
  25. Sailer: So many whites want to be able to say, 'I'm not one of them, those bad whites. Hey, I voted for a black guy for president.
  26. ######
  27. Sam: Steve, what do you think of Tucker?
  28. Sailer: Everybody except Tucker Carlson knows that demographic change through mass immigration is the one thing in the world that is NOT socially constructed. The Emerging Democratic Majority is a purely natural phenomenon, like the swallows returning to Capistrano.
  29. ######
  30. Sue: Explain African Americans.
  31. Sailer: The plain fact is that they blacks tend to possess poorer native judgment than members of better-educated groups. Thus they need stricter moral guidance from society.

  33. Rob: <QUESTION HERE>
  34. Sailer:
