This fan edit solely focuses on the relationship between Peter and Harry. Especially with Peter wearing the Venom suit. The Sandman has a very limited role. (This was a major issue, as there were too many villains). We can now fully appreciate Peter’s arc uninterrupted as he succumbs to darkness. Any corny lines that were turned into memes were removed (for that reason, since they were overplayed), and now seem silly. Such as, “I’m going to put some dirt in your eye”, and I was never fond of Peter’s line, “This is something else!” while he first dons the venom suit.

The entirety of the film has been completely reconstructed from opening to end. And, thus, it was impossible to keep track. This is the 5th revision, and took months. It has never been shared. Or seen by anyone. I am finally satisfied to put it out there.

It has the feel of a whole new Raimi Spider-Man film. It also has a MUCH darker tone all throughout. I even adjusted the contrast just enough to reflect this. But, you wouldn’t notice as it’s not over-bearing at all.

Overall this entire film is about Peter struggling between good and evil. And especially with the ones he loves. Sorry no Aunt Mae.

Peter donning the venom suit, in the original version, didn’t happen till the half way point. In this version it’s within the first 17 minutes. I also played director quite a bit. And the suit in the case actually calls to him. There is no way to describe it without watching. It works exceedingly well. And is quite eerie.
